Chapter 8 It's Him

On the first day of school, Victoria didn't want to make a scene, so she decided not to have David and Diana drive her.

Instead, she got her cousin Nick, who went to the same school, to take her for registration.

Nick was a junior majoring in computer science and knew the school like the back of his hand.

Victoria waited outside the garden, and soon enough, a flashy red Ferrari pulled up.

She thought about the "Nick" she met at Cyber Den. He didn't seem like the flashy type. Boys at this age were either openly passionate or secretly so. This Nick seemed like the latter.

When Nick stepped out of the car, Victoria was confused.

She thought she had the wrong guy. Where was Nick? He said he'd be here soon.

Nick spotted Victoria under the flowering tree. She was wearing a simple avocado green spaghetti strap dress, holding a wide-brimmed sun hat, and her cool, enchanting eyes glanced over.

He thought, 'No way, this beauty is my cousin? Those gossipy women must be blind or brainless! Have they even seen her? They dare to say Victoria is ugly, and the Hamilton family hasn't announced it! With such looks! Anyone who sees her would call her Venus. If she were my sister, I'd put her on the big screen at Sunhaven Center Mall and show her off every day!'

Thinking this, Nick walked over with a bright smile. "Victoria, get in the car."

Victoria, who was about to call Nick to hurry him up, was stunned when she heard this. "You're my cousin? Nick?"

"Yeah, I'm Nick, your cousin. Get in the car!" Nick opened the passenger door with a gentlemanly demeanor.

Occasionally pretending to be a gentleman wasn't entirely out of the question.

Victoria suppressed her doubts. Outsiders wouldn't know that the Hamilton family found a girl named Victoria. This was indeed her cousin.

However, Victoria still pressed the dial button.

Nick's phone rang. "Victoria, I'm right in front of you. Why are you calling me?"

"Nothing; pressed the wrong button." Victoria got into the passenger seat.

She wondered, 'You're Nick, then who was he?'

Nick sent a message in his WhatsApp group: [Breaking news! My cousin is a beauty. Prepare to be shocked today!]

Ethan, Eric Allen, and Roy Murphy had already arrived at school. They were good friends with Nick and often hung out together. The four of them, all from wealthy families and with different styles, were nicknamed "the Charming Four" of Nexus College's computer science department.

Eric saw the message first and typed: [I was wondering why you hadn't arrived yet, Nick. So you went to pick up Victoria? No picture, no truth. Send a photo.]

Roy: [@Nick, let us see your cousin!]

Nick: [Driving, see you at school!]

No more replies.

This was his new Ferrari, and he was excited to drive it himself for a few days.

Nick stepped on the gas, and the sports car roared away. "Victoria! Isn't my car cool!"

Which young man didn't dream of a red Ferrari? Nick's father, Harold Hamilton, was stingy. It was only because he took on the task of looking after Victoria that he agreed to buy it for him.

Victoria smiled lightly. "Not bad, suits you well."

Laughter came from the driver's seat!

Nick was grinning ear to ear. He thought Victoria was great, beautiful, and pleasant to talk to, unlike his friends who spoke harshly!

On the other end, Roy said, "Looks like Nick won't be here for a while. Let's not wait for him."

Eric chimed in, "Yeah, I'm not interested in any beauty." He knew many beautiful women, had experienced all types, and wouldn't be fooled by an eighteen-year-old girl.

Ethan had a peculiar look on his face. "No rush; let's take a walk."

Eric shrugged, "Alright, if Ethan's in the mood, I'll tag along."

The three of them wandered around, and thanks to Ethan's subtle guidance, they ended up at the school gate.

As they passed groups of girls, the girls couldn't help but stare at these handsome guys, whispering loudly and softly.

"So handsome! They're the Charming Four from the computer science department!"

"The Charming Four? Why are there only three?"

"You're new, you have no idea. They're all super handsome and rich, the dream princes of many girls in the school!"

"They are quite handsome. The quality of boys at Nexus College is really high. The entertainment industry should take note."

"Ethan's family is so rich that he doesn't need to enter the entertainment industry!"

Eric said, "Why are we at the main gate? It's crowded here, Ethan, you usually avoid this place."

Ethan didn't respond, his eyes unintentionally looking outside the gate.

A flashy red sports car slowly stopped outside the gate.

Nexus College had strict rules: students couldn't drive into the school.

Ethan's eyes lit up, and he walked straight towards the sports car.

Roy said, "This must be Nick's new car. He insisted on driving it."

The car door opened, and Victoria stepped out first.

Eric raised an eyebrow. This girl was definitely not ordinary.

Nick also got out of the car and saw the three of them waiting at the gate. "You guys are too kind, coming to greet me! I'm truly honored today!"

Nick opened his arms, ready for a bear hug.

Forced to change direction by Ethan's death stare, he went to hug Eric instead.

Eric raised his hand to block him. "Get lost! Who's here to greet you? We're here to greet our cousin!"

Ethan took a step forward and said to Victoria, "We meet again."

"It's you." Victoria looked at the boys playfully fighting in front of her. It was clear they were Nick's friends.

But why did this guy respond so naturally when called Nick last time? He was good at pretending!

Nick, with his arm around Roy's shoulder, introduced Victoria, "This is Ethan, you met him last time. Eric and Roy, they're all my good friends."

Then he turned to Eric and said, "This is my dazzling cousin Victoria. Eric, what are you shouting about? Do you know her well enough to call her your cousin? She's my cousin, not yours!"

Eric replied, "I'll call her whatever I want! If you have the guts, hit me."

He turned to Victoria, "Good morning, Victoria. Nice to meet you."

Victoria was amused by their exaggerated antics. "Hello."

The group left, chatting and laughing.

The onlookers started gossiping.

"Who's that girl? So pretty, is she a freshman?"

"What's her relationship with Nick? Relatives? How did she get out of his car?"

"Who knows, they don't seem very familiar. Maybe she was just passing by."

"Ethan talked to her! My dream guy! So jealous, I want that too."

"Handsome guys and a beautiful girl, so pleasing to the eye. I'm glad I worked hard to get into Nexus College!"

After registration, Victoria went to her class alone.

The familiar paths and faces reminded her of her past life, where she was slandered, humiliated, and bullied at school.

Hatred surged in her heart.

Fortunately, she was no longer the weak and easily bullied Victoria Scott but the reborn and vengeful Victoria Hamilton!

She thought, 'Ella, you can no longer foresee and get ahead of me. Wait for my revenge!'
