She Is Mine

Draco’s POV

I didn’t know what came over me; I just couldn’t watch Logan claim her a second time. After the brief kiss we had shared in the hall yesterday, I couldn’t help but want more, nor did I seem to be able to get her out of my mind. It had hurt deeply when I found her in Logan’s room, knowing fully well what must have happened between them.

Now, as I held her in my arms, her body trapped to mine, the heat from our bodies coalescing as I plundered her mouth, and she responded in kind, I couldn’t describe the joy that washed over me. I knew right now that no woman would ever feel so right in my arms as she did right now.

She pushed me away after a while, reeling me back forcefully with her fragile hands. Shock written all over her beautiful face. “What has come over you, mister?” She yelled, backing away in fright.

For the first time in my life, I was speechless, completely lost for words. I just stared at her shocked face, and her lips swollen from our kiss.

Martha and Cole yelled out almost in unison at the lady, “Rachel.”

She turned to them also, her toffee brown eyes perusing their faces curiously. “Martha. Cole,” she yelled also, her shock now doubled. For a moment, she looked flushed with embarrassment, then she steeled herself, raising her shoulders.

“What are you two doing here?” she inquired. “What are you doing in Miami, Rachel? Why were you kissing my uncle, Uncle Draco?” Cole cried, alarmed, replying her with his own question.

Rachel moved back into my arms, pressing her petite body to mine. My arms unconsciously cupped her waist, claiming her once more as mine. “Well, I came alone to Miami to attend a concert I had initially planned for you and me, until you did what you did. Then I met Draco, and we seemed to hit it off immediately. We both realized we loved each other. You know, the classical love at first sight situation. He asked me to be his girlfriend, and I accepted.” She lied calmly, raising a triumphant smirk at Cole and Martha. Then she turned to me. “Isn’t that true, Draco? Am I not your new girlfriend?” she said, her eyes pleaded with me to say she was.

I was hesitant for a moment. I looked at Logan and saw the way he stared at her, the hidden hunger in his ice-blue eyes as they locked on her.

That decided me, and I said, “Yes, it is as she said,” I said. “She is my girlfriend, and I have plans to make her my wife,” I told Cole and Martha. My eyes bragged about it as I steered my eyes to Logan.

Cole looked at me, and I glimpsed pain in his bitter grimace. “Of all the ladies you could have dated, Uncle Draco, you had to choose my ex-girlfriend,” Cole said.

I removed my hands from Rachel’s waist, coming to full terms with what was happening. Realizing I had hurt my only nephew when all I had sworn to do on his father’s deathbed was to protect, love, and care for him. “I didn’t know she was your girl, Cole. You have to understand; there was no way I would know.”

I grabbed Cole’s arm, but he shrugged me off.

“You shouldn’t be bothered, Cole; if your uncle chooses to lie with that harlot, then it is his loss. You already have nothing to do with her,” Martha hissed exaggeratedly.

“That’s a complete lie, woman. Rachel was never a harlot. I met her a virgin yesterday,” Logan yelled at Martha, his look stern.

Cole turned to him instantly, then shifted to Rachel uneasily. Then he realized Rachel was actually the woman Logan had boasted to him about.

“You couldn’t even take one, Rachel. You had to take two of my uncles, just because I broke up with you yesterday,” Cole accused her.

She raised her head proudly, “We are no longer together, Cole, so I have no obligation to cater to your feelings. I can do whatever I like,” she replied defensively.

“Let’s go, Martha,” Cole said to Martha, took her hand, and led her in the direction of the door.

“Wait, Cole, hear me out, Nephew,” I yelled, running after him. By now, we were already enjoying the attention and stares of everyone in the restaurant. I was scared that someone might recognize us and slip the tabloids the news. Should this incident come out in the papers, then it would deal a huge blow to our businesses. I caught up with Cole, but he refused to listen to me. I returned to the restaurant, and Logan and Rachel were gone.
