Chapter 3 Break Up, Jerk

"A prenuptial agreement," Howard said, his voice cold and flat. "Take a close look. If you have any objections, feel free to raise them."

Diana knew the Spencer family had an impressive background, and her sudden change of heart would make him suspicious of her motives.

A prenuptial agreement was a good way to protect himself, and the terms were undoubtedly in Howard's favor.

Diana felt relieved and, without even looking at it, flipped to the last page and was about to sign.

Her straightforward action surprised Howard. "Aren't you going to take a closer look? Once you sign, there's no turning back."

Diana smiled slightly. "No need. I spent the whole night thinking it over. I'm very clear about this."

Howard frowned. He thought Diana's claim of spending a night thinking it over was just an excuse, but it turned out to be true.

"And your conditions?" Howard asked.

Diana remembered that when Howard proposed marriage, he had said she could set any conditions.

Diana thought for a moment and tentatively asked, "Really, any conditions?"

Howard's eyes deepened, and his gaze became meaningful. After a long pause, he responded faintly.

Previously, because of Sophia, Howard had already given the Getty family many conveniences.

If Diana wanted to ask for more for the Getty family, he could still agree.

Actually, Aiden was not a competent leader, and if the business developed too quickly, it might be terrible.

However, if Diana insisted, Howard would honor his promise.

Diana's expression became resolute. "Mr. Spencer, I know you have provided many conveniences for the Getty family's business at Sophia's request."

"That's right," Howard nodded.

Diana lowered her eyes, hiding the hatred in them. "Please, Mr. Spencer, stop giving them any more conveniences! If possible, suppress the Getty family!"

Diana almost used all her strength to keep her tone from revealing her emotions.

Howard didn't expect that kind of request.

Today's Diana was full of surprises.

He looked at her, his thin lips moving slightly.

Diana added, "Mr. Spencer, you asked me to set conditions, and I did. But I hope you won't ask me why."

Rebirth was too unbelievable; Diana didn't expect anyone to accept it. Just consider it as her suddenly coming to her senses and thinking clearly.

"Alright." Howard didn't understand but showed respect.

After signing the agreement and setting the conditions, it took less than five minutes to complete the marriage paperwork.

As soon as they left the place, Diana was officially a married woman.

She looked at the marriage certificate in her hand, still a bit dazed.

Howard's cold voice echoed above her head. "These are the keys to my apartment. I'll send you the address later. Let me know when it's convenient, and I'll help you move."

Diana took the keys, puzzled. "Aren't we going to live with Sophia?"

She still wanted to be grateful to Sophia after marriage and make her happy.

The doctor said that a good mood was the best medicine for curing diseases.

"That's the house my grandma prepared for us!" Howard replied.

"I don't have much stuff; I can move in today," Diana said.

Howard raised an eyebrow. "Don't you need to inform your family?"

She quickly shook her head. "No need!"

Howard nodded and didn't say more. He just sent the apartment address to Diana's phone and then said, "I have a meeting to attend. Can I have the driver help you move?"

Diana quickly said, "No need, you go ahead with your work. I can manage myself."

"Alright, I'll be off then." Howard indeed had work to do. After he left, Diana took a cab back to the hotel to get her luggage.

She had already moved all her things yesterday when the Gettys weren't around.

The urgency was because many of the items were gifts from Sophia and were very precious.

If the Gettys were there, they might not have let Diana take them easily.

Halfway through the ride, Diana's phone started vibrating wildly.

Diana hadn't slept well last night, and the swaying car made her drowsy. She answered the call without opening her eyes.

"Diana, what's going on? Didn't we agree that you'd sign the organ donation agreement, and your father would arrange for me to intern at the company? Once I settled in, I'd take you home to meet my parents. But you suddenly changed your mind, and even had a big fight with your parents. What am I supposed to do now?" Hearing the greasy male voice on the phone, Diana's eyes snapped open.

Robert's voice continued. "Diana, I think you shouldn't be so willful. You should think more about our future! Where are you now? I'll come to find you! Then we can go to the hospital together, apologize to your parents, and ask for their forgiveness. Can we go back to the original plan?"

Diana's grip on her phone tightened, and she felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave, with coldness seeping from her bones.

All she could see was the scene from her previous life, where Robert and Laura were entangled in front of her.

Diana had loved Robert with all her youth, but he had ended up forcing a bowl of poisoned water down her throat.

Diana still remembered Robert's hideous and terrifying face at that moment.

After talking for a while without getting a response from Diana, Robert became anxious. "Diana, are you listening? Is the signal bad?"

Diana closed her eyes deeply, and when she opened them again, they were filled with coldness. "It's not the signal. I just don't want to talk to an idiot! Let's break up, jerk!"
