Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate

Once I shift back and put on my clothes, I head back inside to my room for a shower. That was a good run and spending time in the meadow one last time before I left felt good. I’ll never see that place again, but at least I’ll have the memories to make me happy. Turning on the water, I strip out of my clothes and get in letting the water relax my muscles before washing my long black hair and my body. Before opening the bathroom door, I could sense someone in my room and a low growl came from my throat. “What the hell does she want now?” I asked myself as I identified the intruder as Luna Stephanie.

Sighing, I wrap the towel around myself and one around my hair before opening the door and stepping out into my bedroom. Ignoring her, I walked to my closet and pulled out a black tank top and jeans and put them on after my bra and panties, then put on socks and black combat boots. “Please try to stay calm when we got back there. The last thing we need is to be held here.” I say to my wolf inside my head. “Why can’t we just kill her and leave?” She mumbles. I laugh at her pouting. “Because then that will alarm everyone when they feel the bond to her break and make it more difficult for us to escape. That’s the only reason Amelia is still breathing right now.” I told her. She growls low in my head before mumbling, “Okay, but if she steps out of line I'll be taking over. I’m no longer allowing them to hurt us.” After that, she disappears to the back of my mind and I sigh again before walking into my room.

Once I’m dressed and walk back into my room, I sense her and before her hand makes contact with my face, I dodge to the left and her momentum propels her forward. She manages to gain her balance before turning to look at me with an angry glare. “How dare you move when I’m trying to discipline you?” She yells at me.

“You mean I was just supposed to stand there and let you hit me? Even an animal knows how to move when someone is trying to attack it just be glad my instincts are better, and I didn’t strike you. It is called fight or flight. Be lucky I chose flight, but that will not always be the case.” I said to her with a smirk.

“You ungrateful, disrespectful bitch! How dare you talk to your Luna in this way? I will have you whipped and beaten for this insolence.” I rolled my eyes.

“Oh, I’m ungrateful and disrespectful? What about you? As a Luna, your job is to protect the pack and love and nurture them, but instead, you’ve shown me nothing but hatred and evil. You were never my Luna and I wish that my parents had let those rogues kill you and your mate instead of laying their lives down for you. It seems to me that you and your family are the ungrateful ones as well as the rest of this god-awful pack.” I yelled back at her.

“I am your Luna and you will show me respect!” she says.

“You are not my Luna and respect is earned, not given willy-nilly. Just because you hold a position of power, that doesn’t give you the right to automatically get respect. You earn it just like the rest of us.”

“Who would ever respect you? You’re nothing.” she laughs and I just smirk at her.

“Well, the men of this pack respect me more than your daughter. I mean, if I had to get their respect the way that she does, I’d probably be having daily visits to the clinic. Though I hear she is very good on her back, so maybe if you tell that to the Alphas perhaps one of them will take her off of your hands. Then again, being a slut is usually not something an Alpha looks for in a Luna.” I smiled at her.

“Why you...” she starts to say when her mate walks into my room.

“What is going on in here?” he asks, looking from his mate to me.

“Don’t look at me to tell you. You won’t believe anything I say anyway.” I said to him as I crossed my arms over my chest. I noticed his eyes following the motion before he quickly turned away. Dirty pervert.

“Stephanie, what is going on? Why are the two of you screaming at one another? We have guests or did you forget? You are not conducting yourself the way that a Luna should, and we can’t get on the bad side of any of these Alphas. I’m trying to at least be able to form an alliance with some of them, even if they don’t pick our daughter as their mate.”

“She was being disrespectful as always. The little bitch even said she wished that we had died instead of her parents. It was their job to die for their Alpha and Luna. They knew what their jobs were as the Beta pair and that’s what they did.”
