(Leo's POV)

The pain in my arm was faint as I stared at the cream leathered passenger seat in front of me while Arie swam in my mind and soul. This woman has captivated me in some unknown way and I can't seem to take her off my mind.

I thought she'd be scared of me for everything that she had seen me do and hate me for everything I've done to her, all the pain I've caused her but the way she moved her lips up to mine elaborated a whole different story.

Kisses have never been something special for me. Hell, even sex hasn't been special in years but being that close to Arie made my heart thump in ways I never thought possible. A spell is what she had me under and I didn't mind being there. Looking at her beautiful face, my cold heart would warm up instantly and nobody has ever been able to melt this heart in a long time. But being the cockblock Mike has always been, he had to ruin the moment.

"How bad is it?" Federigo asked as he pushed back his graying, dense hair.

"Nothing Ray can't fix."

"Well then, what the hell hap..."

"Not right now," I interrupt the old man, "we'll talk about it later." Engrossing myself with my phone is the best idea right now. My temper has ruined a lot and getting into a heated argument with him in front of two of my men would be insulting for the both of us.

Coming to a halt in front of the estate after a long painful hour, I exit the vehicle and step onto the dusty gravel as one of my men opens the door for me. Walking into the mansion, I strode right out of the back entrance towards the outhouse to avoid giving my family something to worry about even though they should. This was going to last a while and they would eventually find out but keeping them in the dark for now would be good.

"Sorry, I'm late." Ray walked into the outhouse five minutes after me. Putting down a small briefcase next to the large sectional sofa I was sitting on, he examined my wound. "Want me to sedate you or do you want to be a badass and feel the pain?"

"As much as I would like for you to sedate me through it all," I let out a sigh, "I have to talk to Federigo right after. He isn't very patient as you know."

"Oh," he widens his eyes and begins shuffling through his briefcase, "good luck with him, buddy."

"Shut up and skip to the patching part."

"Fine, I'll give you some pain meds but it will only decrease the pain, not take it away completely." I nodded and let him do his thing. Sticking on some sterile gloves and pulling out a syringe, he says "let's get this party started, shall we?"

After a excruciatingly painful period of time, it was time to face Federigo. Slowly, I make my way into my office back in the mansion where the man waited for me. Gripping the golden handles of the huge mahogany double door, I creak it open to find him sitting on the white mid century modern sofa on the left side of the huge room.

"About time, don't you think?" He ripped the cigar away from his lips as he huffed out the polluted air with his eyes still fixated on the white ceiling. Knowing that I hated smoking, he'd still do it in front of me completely ignoring my concern with it.

"In case you didn't notice," I close the door and motion towards my aching arm, "I was shot. Sorry if I kept your highness waiting." I scoff and stomp towards my rolling chair behind the glass desk.

"Don't act smart with me, boy. Watch it." He warned as he mounted from the couch and seated himself in one of the chairs on the opposite side of the desk.

I rolled in my chair and looked out of the glass wall that overlooked the garden surrounding the restricted outhouse. A huge storm was ready to rip through this place as the big gray clouds shut the sun out and threatened to pour down hell just like this man was about to do to me after finding out the reason for the attack and the man behind it.

"Who did it?" He asked pulling my attention back into the room as his deep, dominant voice bounced off the walls with a mixture of British and Italian accent.

"How about you take a guess?" I suggest and clench my fists just thinking about that bastard. He had some balls trying that but he won't have any when I'm done with him.

"You have ruined millions so there isn't just one person I can pinpoint."

"We, not just me," I correct him and turn around in my chair, facing him. "I'll give you a hint. It's someone close."

"Your right hand, Mike? I knew we should never trust that man."

"Don't be ridiculous," I spat, "I have told you a million times that he's the most loyal person you'll ever meet."

"Well, he's the only close person I don't trust."

"Try Astor perhaps."

His face dropped the snarly attitude and adopted a surprising one, making me laugh at his sudden demeanor. "That can't be true." He shakes his head in disbelief and smashes his cigar on the ashtray. "He's basically fam.."

"Family. I know, which is even more worse."

"Are you sure it's his doing?"

"I'm hundred percent sure. His goons always wear leather jackets and the idioti(idiots) that attacked me wore the same thing."

"Leather jackets aren't uncommon, boy," he scoffed, "many streets goons wear them so please tell me you got something better than that."

"Do you think I'm stupid?" I narrow my brows at the man. Being with me my entire life, this man still doesn't know me very well. "Having the Aguillard family crest tattooed onto your wrist isn't common. It was the first thing I noticed."

"But why? We have no problem with that family."

"We apparently do." I sighed. Well, this should be fun now. The entire house will be shaking with his wrath anytime now. "He raped a woman and has been trying to kill her so I told him to call off his little play or I'd ruin him just like the Romero's."

"This better be a joke, Leonardo." He slammed his palms on the glass desk and threw in chair back in fury. "Una ragazza?(A girl) What the hell were you thinking?"

"I made him a deal and he clearly broke it by having me attacked."

"You threatened him. What did you expect?" He spat through his perfect teeth as his eyes reflected disappointment and immense rage. A bullet would have been penetrated through my head if I were just a random man, but he knew better than to do so.

"Well, if you put it that way then yes, I did." Hoisting myself off the chair, I walk around the desk and look at him. "He's not going to get away with it even though he's family."

"Who's this girl anyways?" He questioned, staring into my eyes. "Is it the same girl that you walked out with from the filthy warehouse?"

"Yes!" Here comes more judgement and disappointment.

"And I'm guessing she's also the mystery woman that you danced around with yesterday and had kept in the room upstairs without my knowledge."

"It's my house so I'll keep whoever I please."

"Leonardo!" He roared, his fists clenched so tight that they could draw blood from his palms. "My patience goes only so far. Don't test me, boy."

Letting out a huff of air, I rip myself away from his glaring orbs and sat at the same couch the man was smoking from. I didn't have the energy to get into a full blown out argument right now. If Ray hadn't given me the pain meds, I'd be in my room sleeping my ass off instead of facing Federigo at this very moment.

"Does Belle know anything about this?" He spoke up again, making me shift uncomfortably a little as he cooled down a bit and slouched into the chair he had thrown back a few moments ago.
