Chapter 5 No One Will Bully You Again

Aria Davis's POV:

As Noah and I left the banquet, I spotted Harper Blake waiting by Noah's car. Her dad, Colton Blake, was one of the jerks who tortured Emma at the banquet that night.

Seeing Harper brought back the painful memory of Emma being tortured, and it felt like a knife to my heart. Anger and hatred surged through me like a tidal wave. I bit my lip hard, trying to keep my emotions in check. I couldn't let my revenge plan get messed up by a moment of rage.

Harper looked at me with pure arrogance, her eyes full of disdain. She pointed at me and snapped at Noah, "Noah, how can you bring a lowly slave to the banquet? Have you forgotten your dad said I'm the best choice to be your Luna? Only I deserve to be your companion!"

Noah frowned. "I'm not interested in you, Harper. And you better show Aria some respect."

Hearing Noah defend me made Harper even angrier. She turned to me, her voice dripping with venom. "You shameless bitch, you must have seduced Noah on purpose. Get lost and don't covet what doesn't belong to you!"

Harper's dad had tortured my mom. Who did she think she was to boss me around? Since she was so eager to provoke me, she should be ready to face the consequences.

I quietly grabbed an empty wine bottle from a passing servant, trying to keep my voice steady. "Ms. Blake, I didn't want to come to this banquet, but Master Noah specifically asked me to. As a slave, I had no right to refuse."

Harper's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at Noah. "What? How is that possible?" she demanded, her voice shaking.

She constantly belittled me in front of Noah, thinking I was just a lowly slave. Yet, I was the one Noah invited, while she, who thought she was so noble, was actually disliked by him.

Harper was so mad she couldn't speak for a while and finally spat out, "You bitch, do you think you can keep this up for long? Noah is just temporarily infatuated with you. When he wakes up, he'll definitely toss you aside like trash!"

"I'll wait for that day. But unfortunately, Ms. Blake, you won't even have the chance to be tossed aside," I shot back, not backing down.

Noah, clearly annoyed, pinched the bridge of his nose and put his arm around my shoulder, steering me toward the car. "Stop it, Harper. I'm tired," he said, his voice full of frustration.

Harper shrieked, her voice piercing the night air. "Don't go! Leave this bitch here!" With a sudden, furious motion, she raised her hand and slapped me hard across the face.

I suppressed the excitement in my heart as the opportunity finally arrived. When I fell to the ground from the force of the slap, I used the cover of my dress to swiftly and silently place the empty wine bottle at Harper's feet.

"Bitch, I thought you were so capable, but one slap knocked you down!" she boasted proudly as she walked closer to me. I covered my cheek, silently watching her feet.

Then the sound of a wine bottle shattering and Harper's scream rang out at the same time. She had stepped on the empty wine bottle and fell hard. The glass shards from the bottle cut a deep wound on her foot, and blood started flowing instantly.

Harper screamed in pain, drawing everyone's attention. Noah was also startled by the sudden chaos. He looked at Harper's wound and frowned.

I lay on the ground, coldly observing the scene. Everything was going according to plan. Watching Harper in pain, I felt no sympathy. She and Colton were both vile; this was exactly what she deserved!

Noah looked at me with a complicated expression and said, "I'll take her to the hospital first. Wait for me." With that, he picked up Harper, got in the car, and left the banquet entrance.

I stood up, covering my arm that had also been cut by the glass shards when I fell. My entire arm was now soaked in blood. Watching them leave, I straightened my back, feeling much better after seeing my enemy's daughter face the consequences she deserved.

Just then, Lucien came out of the banquet hall. I followed him and quickly got into his car.

"Get out," Lucien said coldly, his face dark.

I pouted, deliberately showing the wound from my fall, with tears in my eyes. "Please take me home. My wound needs urgent treatment. It can't be delayed."

Seeing my bleeding arm, Lucien frowned even more, quickly turning his head to the side, and coldly ordered the driver to take me home. I watched his Adam's apple move up and down, a barely noticeable smile on my face. As a vampire, seeing so much blood, Lucien turned his head away instead.

'Good, this is our first meeting, and he's already feeling sorry for me,' I thought.

Noah Brooks's POV

When Aria fell to the ground from Harper's slap, I knew it was intentional. Aria wasn't that fragile. I had seen her place the empty wine bottle at Harper's feet and chose not to intervene. After all, Harper had insulted and slapped her first, so Aria's actions were justified.

After taking Harper to the hospital, I returned to the banquet, but Aria had already left. When I got home, I saw Aria treating her wound under the dim light. Her wound was deep, even more severe than Harper's.

To vent her anger, Aria was too hard on herself. I was really curious about her, wanting to know everything about her. I admit, I couldn't help but want to get closer to her.

I walked over and asked softly, "Why did you do that?"

Aria looked up, her eyes blazing with stubborn determination. "Master Noah, you already know? Yes, I did it on purpose. I can't let people bully me," she declared, her voice unwavering.

I sighed, took the cotton swab and disinfectant from her hand, and gently treated her wound. She didn't refuse, just quietly watched me.

The wound was so deep that I could see the bone. If it had been a bit deeper, her arm would have been completely ruined. My heart ached as I finished treating her wound.

I put on a serious expression and warned, "Don't hurt yourself like this again."

Aria pressed her lips tightly, her eyes full of stubbornness. "If someone tries to bully me again, I will still..."

"No one will bully you again. Trust me," I immediately interrupted, my voice firm and reassuring.
