Chapter 6 You're Seducing Me

Aria Davis's POV:

After Noah left, Grace slipped back into the room. The Brooks family had us servants bunking together, so Grace and I shared a space. She made sure no one was around before she came up to me.

"Hey, Aria, got some new intel," Grace whispered.

"Spill it," I said, closing the window carefully.

Grace leaned in, her eyes darting around nervously. "There's been a new find in the cave I mentioned. Tons of servants are guarding it, and I have no clue what's inside. To keep it low-key, I marked the cave's location," she said, words tumbling out fast.

She pulled a piece of paper from her clothes and handed it to me. I studied the map for a while. The cave was super hidden, close to vampire territory. The SilverBlade Pack and the vampires were always at each other's throats over land, so whatever was in that cave had to be linked to Lucien!

I was so pumped I almost jumped up. I hugged Grace tight and spun her around. "Grace, you're my good luck charm! This map is gold!" I exclaimed, my voice full of excitement.

If I played my cards right, this map could really mess things up for Jason!

Grace looked surprised. "Really? What are you going to do?"

"I'm gonna tell Lucien. He hates the SilverBlade Pack, so this information will be gold for him," I said seriously.

Grace's eyes went wide with worry. "You're dealing with Lucien? That's risky! He's dangerous. If he finds out you're using him, you're toast," she warned, her voice shaking a bit.

"I know. I'll be careful," I reassured her, trying to sound more confident than I felt.

I pushed down my excitement and started planning my next moves.

The next day, Lucien showed up to pick me up. As soon as I got in the car, I flashed an innocent smile and gave him a big hug. "Morning, Lucien!" I greeted.

Lucien coldly pulled me off and motioned for me to sit next to him, his gaze stern. I pouted but managed to smile, resting my chin on my hand and staring at him.

"Why are you staring at me?" Lucien asked, shifting uncomfortably.

"Because you're handsome!" I shot back without missing a beat.

Lucien turned away, a slight blush creeping up his ears. Clearly, he wasn't great with teasing. He coughed and quickly changed the subject. "Have you always lived at the Brooks Mansion?" he asked, more composed.

I stiffened, a hint of sadness in my eyes as I looked out the window. "No. I was sent to the SilverBlade Pack as a slave after the Frostbite Pack was defeated. Now I'm a servant for the Brooks family."

Lucien's expression softened, and he almost whispered, "I'm sorry."

I kept a bitter smile. "It's okay, I'm just a slave. Being with me, do you feel... embarrassed?"

Lucien replied stiffly, "Vampires don't have those weird hierarchical concepts like you werewolves."

"So, you're cool with being friends with me, right?" I said excitedly, hugging his arm. Lucien frowned but didn't push me away like before.

"If you don't say anything, I'll take it as a yes. From now on, we're friends," I declared with a grin.

Ignoring his reaction, I kept on talking. "No one in the Brooks family wants to be friends with me. I have so much to say every day, but no one to share it with. But now, thank God, I can share it all with you!"

Lucien didn't seem too interested and kept staring out the window. Since he wasn't into my small talk, I decided to switch it up.

"I can't wait to get out of the Brooks Mansion. That place is a nightmare! Jason is such a creep!" I exclaimed, pausing to see if I'd caught his attention. Lucien's head turned slightly, his eyes curious.

With a heavy sigh, I continued, "Jason has this gross habit of hiring his lovers to pretend they're servants, just so he can mess around with them whenever he wants. But he's so fickle—he wants every pretty face he sees! He changes lovers like he changes clothes, practically every few days. Now, more than half of the 'servants' in the mansion are actually his lovers! The worst part is that these women, thinking they're special because of their relationship with him, are totally lazy and do nothing, leaving the real servants like us to handle the work of several people every day."

I pouted, clearly fed up with Jason. Lucien's eyes narrowed slightly, a shrewd glint in them, showing he'd picked up on the crucial detail. I had a feeling it wouldn't be long before another special lover showed up in Jason's life.

I shook Lucien's arm, almost leaning against him. "Lucien, don't you think Jason is really annoying?"

Lucien's face turned even redder, but he still pretended to be calm. "Yeah, he's always been shameless," he replied.

I moved closer, and he didn't pull away, which I took as a good sign. As Lucien's car drove down a country road, I looked out at the small river. According to the map, the cave was nearby. I tapped on the car window, shouting excitedly, "Oh my God, this place is so beautiful!"

Hearing this, Lucien told the driver to stop the car.

As soon as the car stopped, I immediately got out, excitedly. I spread my arms wide, lifted my head, and breathed in the fresh air, suggesting, "Lucien, this place is really beautiful. Let's have a picnic here!"

Lucien looked around and then his gaze fell on the distant, barely visible cave. I pretended to be surprised and pointed at the cave, shouting excitedly, "Lucien, there's a cave over there! Let's go on an adventure after the picnic. Maybe we'll find treasure!"

Lucien frowned and replied coldly, "At this time of year, the cave is probably full of poisonous snakes. Are you sure you want to go?"

I quickly waved my hand, indicating refusal. "No, I'll just play by the water!"

I crouched by the river, picking up oddly shaped stones. In the reflection of the water, I saw Lucien beckon to a servant beside him. The servant leaned in, and Lucien whispered something in his ear. The servant glanced toward the cave and then quickly disappeared from my sight.

I secretly smiled, but then my foot slipped, and the stones I had picked up fell into the river. The splashing water soaked me completely.

I shook my wet clothes, shrugged helplessly, and looked disappointed. "Looks like we have to go back early today."

Lucien looked at my disheveled appearance, his gaze lingering on my chest, his Adam's apple bobbing. He took off his coat and threw it to me. "Put it on," he said awkwardly.

I looked at Lucien's shy expression and handed his coat back to him. Then I swiftly took off my wet clothes.

"What are you doing!" Lucien exclaimed, quickly wrapping me in his coat. It was so big that when he looked down, he could see my breasts.

Lucien's eyes locked onto my chest, his voice gradually becoming hoarse. "Aria, you're seducing me," he whispered.
