Chapter 2

At night, Leon lay on the basement floor, still feeling a sense of unreality.

"Oh my God, I really became a billionaire, I'm not dreaming!" Leon muttered to himself, "I'll go to the bank tomorrow."

The next morning, after getting up, Leon drove his pickup truck out and happened to see Lucy standing by the roadside.

"Good morning, Lucy," Leon greeted proactively.

Lucy said coldly, "Caitlin left some documents at home, you should take them to her, she should be at the dock now."

Nodding without a word, Leon restarted the engine and drove towards the dock.

When he arrived at the dock, he saw a yacht docked there, with Caitlin standing on the deck.

"Caitlin, I'm here!" Leon called out, wanting to board the yacht, but the guard stopped him.

"Private yacht here, strangers are not allowed in!" the guard snapped.

Leon explained, "My wife is on the yacht, I have some documents to deliver to her."

"Your wife?" the guard asked, "Who is your wife?"

"Caitlin Herman," Leon replied.

The guard laughed loudly, his tone full of disdain and mockery. "So you're that famous loser, I've heard of you."

Leon smiled bitterly, not expecting even the guard to have heard of him.

He continued, "Since you've heard of me, let me in, I’m gonna go find her."

"I've already told you, this is a private yacht, you can't go up. You can give me the documents, and I'll pass them on," the guard explained somewhat impatiently.

But Leon refused, "No, these are very important company documents, I must hand them to her personally."

"Suit yourself, you’re not allowed in anyway," the guard replied coldly.

While Leon was thinking, Steve got out of a Porsche and boarded the yacht without being stopped by the guard.

Leon huffed aloud, "Why can Steve go up, but I can't?"

The guard mocked him, "Because he is the president of Corleone Investment Bank, and you are just a trash who relyies on the Herman Family. Do you think you have the qualifications to compete with Steve?"

"Compete? For what?" Leon frowned, confused.

"Don't act like a clueless idiot. The news of Steve proposing to Caitlin yesterday has already widely spread. He is the most qualified person to be Caitlin's husband. A loser like you doesn't deserve to marry Caitlin," the guard said mockingly, his arms crossed.

Meanwhile, on the yacht, Caitlin saw Steve coming up and greeted him with a warm smile. "Steve, you finally came."

Steve's gaze strolled over Caitlin’s delicate frame as he smiled, "Caitlin, this is a gift I specially prepared for you. No one is more suited for it than you."

With a puzzled look, Caitlin watched as Steve opened the gift box, revealing a diamond necklace that sparkled brilliantly.

Steve smiled and introduced, "This is a diamond necklace I specially prepared for you, worth 100,000 dollars. I hope you like it."

Caitlin frowned. She came to the yacht today because of Steve's invitation. Originally, Caitlin had planned to refuse, but due to her company's current dilemma, she decided to meet Steve, hoping to seek his help.

After thinking for a while, Caitlin smiled and said, "Thank you for your kindness, Steve. But your gift is too valuable, I can't take it."

Steve smiled cunningly, "Caitlin, why refuse? Do you think the diamonds on the necklace are too small? If you want, I can give you a more expensive necklace."

At this moment, Leon pushed the guard aside and ran onto the yacht. He grabbed the necklace from Steve's hand and threw it forcefully on the ground.

"Honey, shoo this guy away! I can also buy you some diamond if you like it!" Leon said urgently.

While speaking, he grabbed Caitlin's hand and started to walk away.

Caitlin shouted, "Leon, don't pull me, let go of my hand."

Furious, Steve glared at this uninvited guest, cursing him for throwing his carefully chosen gift for Caitlin.

Steve exploded, "Damn it, do you know how much this necklace costs? You bastard!"

"I don't give a shit of its price! I can afford it and buy one for my honey, too!" Leon said coldly, "I warn you, Caitlin is my wife, you are not allowed to approach her!"

Steve sneered and looked at Caitlin. "Caitlin, you said your company is short of 8 million dollars, right? I can help you with it, I mean right now!"

"Really?" Caitlin's eyes were filled with joy.

Steve said confidently, "Definitely! Don't forget I'm the president of Corleone Investment Bank. I can invest in your company anytime. But I have one condition: you must have dinner with me on the yacht and drive Leon away!"

"Steve, are you serious? Not a joke?" Caitlin asked again, her expression very serious. This amount was really important to her.

Steve nodded, "Of course, I always keep my promises."

Caitlin thought for a while and agreed, "Okay, I agree."

Without this 8 million dollars, her company might go bankrupt.

Leon glared at Steve and said, "No, honey, refuse him! That's not real! I can give you that amount, too!"

Steve mocked, "Leon, do I need to remind you of your status? You are just a pathetic loser relying on the Herman Family. What right do you have to marry Caitlin? Without me, Caitlin's company will soon go bankrupt. Haven't you realized the huge gap between you and me? What makes you think you can compete with me?"

"I..." Leon was very angry and wanted to retort.

But at this moment, Caitlin scolded, "Leon, don't cause trouble here, go back."

"Why? Babe, why do you think that I'm causing trouble?" Leon was stunned.

Caitlin roared loudly, "Do you know how much pressure I'm under right now? Do you know how much I need this money?"

She looked at Leon with great disappointment. If Leon had any capability, she wouldn't have to be so humble in front of Steve.

After speaking, Caitlin shook her head and walked towards the restaurant with Steve.

Leon chased after them and said, "Wait, honey. Don't agree to him, I can give you 80 million dollars."

But Caitlin didn't believe a word he said.

"Shut your fucking mouth up, trash! You’re just a poor guy, aren’t you?" Steve mocked disdainfully.

"Steve, don't think you're so great just because you have money!" Leon clenched his fists.

"But having money does make me great. At least now Caitlin is willing to be with me, but not you. Leon, I suggest you think about how you'll earn your poor living after you and Caitlin divorce!"

The guards finally kicked Leon off the yacht. Watching the yacht leave the dock and sail into the sea, Leon felt very sad.

Teeth gritted, Leone cursed Steve in his mind, 'Steve, so what if you're the president of Corleone Investment Bank? Investment banking is just one of the many industries of the Corleone family. I can still beat you. You have no right to make Caitlin divorce me.'

Out of anger, Leon took out his phone and dialed a number he had previously hated.

Once the other party answered the phone, Leon blurted out, "This is Leon. If you want me to help the Corleone Family, you must agree to two conditions. First, let me take charge of Corleone Investment Bank. Second, get me a Cullinan immediately!"

"Dear Leon, I can't agree to these two conditions right away. I need to discuss with the family members," the other party hesitated.

"You have no right to negotiate. Either agree or never think about me returning to the Corleone family!" Leon urged.

After speaking, Leon hung up the phone directly.

In a luxurious villa in the suburbs, Leon sat on the sofa in the living room, looking at an imposing elderly man opposite him.

The elderly man was named Brandon Corleone, the patriarch of the Corleone Family.

Standing on either side of Brandon were two bodyguards wearing sunglasses.

"You finally came back. I've missed you all these years. I'm very happy to see you safe and sound," Brandon said with a smile.

Leon replied in a lazy tone. "No need for the small talk, Brandon. Have you considered my previous demands? If you don't agree, I'll leave immediately."
