Chapter 3 Are You Sure the Person in Your Bed Is Me?

Hearing Simon's words, Aria finally felt a wave of relief wash over her.

Looked like he hadn't forgotten about last night.

She pretended to be calm and flashed a charming smile, her eyes twinkling. "Mr. Windsor, you helped me out twice last night. How can I thank you? Anything I can do for you?"

The banquet hall was lit up like a Christmas tree, glasses clinking everywhere.

Billy stood not too far away, looking like a thunderstorm was brewing on his face.

He couldn't believe that Simon, who was always so distant and had turned him down so many times, was not only not kicking Aria out but actually chatting with her.

His plan had totally backfired!

Laura, standing near Billy, stomped her foot in frustration, jealousy burning in her eyes. "Damn Aria!" she muttered under her breath, then glanced at a guy in a suit standing in the corner.

Duke Collins, a notorious playboy, had been chasing after her like crazy, even causing some nasty rumors.

But ever since Aria stepped in, Duke had become Aria's rumored boyfriend.

No way was she letting Aria get close to someone like Simon.

Simon listened to Aria, a playful smile tugging at his lips, his eyes glinting with something unreadable. "To express gratitude?"

Aria's smile was dazzling under the lights, her eyes sparkling, her tone soft. "Of course, I always repay the kindness."

Simon's eyes were deep, and he didn't want to take credit for something Lewis did. He was trying to figure out how to clear up this beautiful misunderstanding.

Suddenly, a voice cut through the air. "Aria, you bitch! You were in my bed a few days ago, and now you're seducing another man?"

Duke stormed over, pointing at Aria, practically spitting with rage.

His voice was so loud, everyone in the banquet hall heard it.

Whispers spread like wildfire, surrounding Aria.

"Didn't expect Aria to be not only ugly but also have such a wild private life."

"With her appearance, she thinks she can seduce Simon? She should look in the mirror; that scar on her face makes me want to puke."

Aria chuckled lightly, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "Mr. Collins, are you sure the woman in your bed was me?"

Duke was livid at her calm attitude. He pulled out a stack of photos from his pocket and threw them on the ground.

The photos scattered, showing explicit and provocative images of a man and a woman in bed. The angle was weird, but Aria's face was clear.

The whispers around them grew louder, filled with accusations and curses.

Simon sat quietly on the sofa, hands folded, curious to see how Aria, who had impressed his uncle, would handle this.

Aria smiled faintly, glancing at the crowd. "Everyone, please hold on a moment."

She pulled out her laptop, her fingers flying over the keyboard with ease.

In no time, she found some images on her computer and projected them onto the hall's screen.

The angles and backgrounds of the photos were identical to the ones Duke had shown. The only difference was that the woman in the photos was Laura.

The hall erupted, whispers rising and falling.

All eyes turned to Laura, like spotlights exposing her to everyone's gaze.

Laura's face went pale, her lips trembling as she frantically tried to explain. "These photos are fake! They're photoshopped! Aria is framing me!"

Laura snapped, "Aria, I don't have any beef with you, so why are you doing this?"

Aria smirked, "Laura, if you had the guts to do it, you should have the guts to own up to it. You got caught by the paparazzi getting cozy with Duke, and the photos went viral. To keep your squeaky-clean image, you didn't hesitate to drag me into it. Over the years, I've done so much for you and the company, you know that! But how did you repay me? By seducing my fiancé? I have no grudge against you, so why did you do this?"

Every word Aria said was like a bomb going off, causing a huge commotion.

No one could believe that Laura, the rising star, could be such a shameless person!

Simon, who had been watching with a cold expression, now had a playful smile on his face.

Aria really was the woman his uncle admired; she was bold.

"Shut up!" Billy suddenly lunged forward.

He grabbed Aria's wrist so hard that it seemed like he was going to crush her bones, his face twisted with rage, veins popping on his forehead. "How dare you slander Laura? If you don't want me to call off the engagement, explain everything to everyone right now."

Did Billy really not know if Aria had slandered Laura?

Aria sneered, trying to shake off Billy's hand, but couldn't.

Suddenly, Billy was shoved away with a strong force that he almost fell. A tall and imposing figure stood in front of Aria, shielding her.

Billy's face twisted in anger, ready to curse, but when he recognized that it was Simon, he didn't dare say a word.

Simon glared at him coldly, "Bullying a woman in public? That's low, even for you."

Billy panicked, "No, it's a misunderstanding."

Simon cut him off, "I announce that I, and all the businesses under the Windsor Group, will refuse any form of cooperation with the Fisher Group and its celebrities."

His uncle's woman couldn't be bullied by anyone.

If Lewis were here, he would probably be even more decisive.

Within a week, the Fisher Group would be history.

Hearing this, Billy looked like he'd been struck by lightning, his face going pale.

How could this be?

Simon was going to such lengths for Aria, what was their relationship?

Billy wanted to rush forward and question, but Simon's bodyguards blocked him.

Simon ignored him, turning to leave with Aria.

Aria thanked him, "Thank you, you've helped me again."

He smiled mysteriously, "No need to thank me yet, there's a bigger surprise waiting for you, Miss York."

When he found out that Aria was the one who had a one-night stand with the cold and abstinent Lewis last night, he had already sent a message to inform him.

Lewis was probably on his way now.

Aria was puzzled. After the party ended, Simon left with a knowing smile.

The guests dispersed to the lounge.

Aria also got to hers but smelled a strange scent as she opened the door. In the dim light of the room, a tall figure sat in a wheelchair, facing the window.

Although she couldn't see his face clearly, Aria's heart skipped a beat.

This man's aura was powerful, even sitting in a wheelchair, he was intimidating.

Moreover, the half of his face she could see bore a striking resemblance to Simon, but he was more mature and exuded a strong sexual tension.

At the same time, she noticed Duke lying on the ground, tied up and gagged, struggling.

Aria's eyes widened in shock, what was going on?
