Chapter 3

Adelaide suddenly looked up, and Sebastian happened to lean down slightly, their eyes meeting.

Their gazes locked.

They were very close at this moment, their breaths mingling.

Suddenly, a glint flashed in Adelaide's bright eyes.

She noticed that Sebastian's ears were very red.

Was Sebastian feeling shy?

Sebastian also realized that their current posture was somewhat intimate.

Especially when he met Adelaide's interested gaze, he felt his ears burning.

Finally, Sebastian averted his gaze. Just as he was about to speak, he felt a soft sensation on his lips.

Sebastian's pupils trembled slightly as he looked in disbelief at Adelaide, who had moved closer to him.

Adelaide had kissed his lips.

Adelaide originally just wanted to tease Sebastian in front of her.

Their first night in the previous life wasn't very pleasant.

At that time, Adelaide had been drugged and had sex with Sebastian in a daze.

When she woke up, she believed Gavin's words and thought it was Sebastian who had drugged her, making her hate him deeply.

After that, Adelaide started causing all sorts of trouble.

This was the first time in two lifetimes that she had seen Sebastian looking so pure and shy.

Seizing the rare opportunity, Adelaide immediately felt like teasing him.

She didn't expect Sebastian's lips to be so soft, and the kiss felt quite good.

Seeing Sebastian's flushed and helpless face, Adelaide wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down and deepening the kiss.

Adelaide took the initiative, parting Sebastian's lips and giving him a passionate French kiss.

It wasn't until she almost ran out of breath that Adelaide slightly let go.

With her forehead resting against Sebastian's, she noticed his innocent expression and couldn't help but laugh softly, "Hubby, could this be your first kiss?"

Seeing his reaction, Adelaide was sure it was Sebastian's first kiss.

Sebastian, feeling embarrassed, snorted, "You're making noise..."

Before he could say finish, Adelaide kissed his lips again.

This time, to save face, Sebastian took the initiative and bit down hard as Adelaide kissed him.

The faint taste of blood spread between their lips.

Adelaide felt the pain but refused to let go, her eyes smiling.

After the kiss, Adelaide touched Sebastian's burning ears and teased, "Hubby, your face is so red. Are you shy?"

Sebastian glared at Adelaide fiercely and tried to push her away.

As he reached out, Adelaide grabbed his hand and gently placed it on her cheek, "I'm not teasing you anymore. Are you hungry? Do you want to go downstairs and eat something?"

Adelaide was a bit hungry.

She never had enough to eat at the Montagu Villa, and even though she married into the Manners family, the servants didn't respect her.

It was clear when she asked servants to help move a ladder.

Adelaide admitted she had ulterior motives.

She needed to use Sebastian to establish her authority in this household, making it clear that she had his support.

Only by establishing authority could she manage things better in the future.

Sebastian stared deeply at Adelaide, "Not hungry."

He rejected Adelaide.

Adelaide wasn't discouraged and continued to persuade, "Come eat with me, please? Hubby, I know you're the best. Would you let me starve on my first day in this family?"

"My stomach hurts so much. I never had enough to eat at the Montagu Villa, and now I can't eat at the Manners Villa either. My stomach hurts."

Adelaide curled up, holding her stomach and rubbing it.

Sebastian knew she was acting pitifully to gain sympathy.

The words of refusal reached his lips but turned into a compromise, "Let's go."

"I knew you were the best." Adelaide immediately let go, stopped acting, and kissed Sebastian's face several times, "Sebastian, I love you so much."

Sebastian was still soft-hearted towards her, just like in the previous life.

Sebastian awkwardly looked away, but his mind couldn't help but replay the kiss with Adelaide.

The more he thought about it, the hotter he felt. Sebastian said to Adelaide, who was now behind him, "I'm dirty. I need to change clothes first."

Adelaide looked Sebastian up and down, wanting to say he wasn't dirty and she didn't mind.

But then she remembered Sebastian had a cleanliness obsession.

He had fallen to the floor and sweated a lot, so he must be feeling uncomfortable.

Thinking this, Adelaide pushed Sebastian back to the bedroom, "Do you want to take a bath?"

"Yes." Sebastian nodded lightly.

Hearing this, Adelaide replied, "I'll run the bath for you."

Adelaide hurried to the closet to get a long loungewear set, then went to the bathroom to run the water.

After everything was ready, Adelaide returned to Sebastian, "It's ready."

Pushing Sebastian into the bathroom, Adelaide had no intention of leaving.

Sebastian paused slightly as he undressed, frowning and coldly saying, "Aren't you going out? Why are you staying here?"

Sebastian's voice was cold.

Adelaide didn't think there was anything wrong, "I'm staying to help you."

Sebastian's eyes darkened, "My legs are disabled, not my hands. I can do it myself. Get out."

Sebastian's words were already impatient.

Adelaide wanted to say something, but she suddenly realized Sebastian was embarrassed and subtle gaze.

Her excessive concern would only hurt Sebastian's proud self-esteem.

She was too eager to be good to Sebastian but neglected his feelings.

Adelaide reluctantly said, "I'll go out first. If you need anything, call me. I'll be right outside."

She was worried.

When Sebastian was diagnosed with paralysis. Marcus had the villa remodeled, which included Sebastian's bathroom.

Under Sebastian's cold gaze, Adelaide turned and left.

She gently closed the bathroom door and stood outside waiting.

Adelaide was a bit annoyed with her hasty actions and was now thinking about how to gradually gain Sebastian's trust while considering his self-esteem.

Sebastian relaxed slightly as soon as Adelaide closed the door.

Sebastian skillfully unbuttoned his shirt, revealing the scars on his body.

The car accident not only took Sebastian's legs but also left scars all over his body, hideous and terrifying.

Sebastian looked at his scars with disgust and quickly washed up.

Adelaide listened to the sound of running water, thinking about the few times she had sex with Sebastian in her previous life.

The intimate scenes made Adelaide's face flush.

Just then, a noise from the bathroom pulled Adelaide back to reality.
