Chapter 2 Making Amends

Next thing she knew, her head was forced up and down, and a strong sense of nausea overwhelmed her. She almost vomited, but Michael didn't give her any chance to escape.

He moved faster and faster, and she choked to the point of tears, but he had no intention of stopping.

Suddenly, Michael's phone vibrated.

Alice glanced at the name Aurora on the screen, her heart sank, and she stopped moving.

Michael's fingers caressed her back. "Continue, don't make a sound."

After saying that, he answered the phone, his voice still a bit lazy. "Can't sleep?"

He held the phone with one hand, while the other hand had already slipped into Alice's collar, constantly stroking the small mole on her back.

She trembled under his touch, still not making a sound, and could only continue the fellatio.

His eyes were deep, and the strength in his hand increased a bit. Feeling her whole body trembling, he closed his eyes comfortably.

"Yes, do you miss me? We'll see each other tomorrow."

"Scared? What's there to be scared of? I'm with you."

"Alice?" Michael's gaze fell on Alice. "She's just a secretary, why should I care about her?"

Alice paused; suddenly her head was pressed down hard, she felt like her throat was going to burst, and she couldn't help but gag.

She forcefully pulled Michael's hand away, sat up straight, and met Michael's playful eyes.

"There's no one here, you heard wrong. It's late, good night." He hung up the phone, still with a cold smile on his lips, he reached out and forcefully lifted Alice's chin. "Didn't I tell you not to make a sound?"

She took a tissue and wiped her mouth. "I'm sorry."

Seeing her indifferent look, Michael impatiently clicked his tongue and then closed his eyes. "Continue."

Alice took a deep breath, suppressed the nausea in her throat, and lowered her head again.

She didn't know how long it took, but with a low growl, he finally released, and she couldn't dodge in time, the sticky semen still got on her long hair.

She couldn't help but gag, quickly took a tissue, opened the car door, and rushed out.

She felt dizzy, and the alcohol she had just drunk all came up, she vomited it all out. Her lower stomach ached again, she slowly squatted down, turned to call for his help, but only saw him driving away.

She was stunned for a moment, the thought of telling him she had been pregnant vanished.

She was just his tool, a tool for satisfying his desires, a tool for work.

She understood her position and wouldn't cause him any trouble.

By the time Alice got home, it was almost dawn. She quickly took a shower, changed her clothes, and rushed to the company.

Yesterday, she didn't completely skip work, she had taken leave from the HR department, but Michael didn't bother to ask.

When she arrived at the company, she saw Aurora being scolded.

The most senior member of the secretarial office, Winter Hayes, was pointing at a document and yelling, "Aurora, who allowed you, an intern, to touch these data? You even reported it without permission! Do you have any idea that you might make our company lose millions? Do you think you can make up to it?"

Aurora was sobbing softly, unable to say anything.

Seeing Alice coming over, Aurora looked at her with innocent eyes.

Winter handed over the document with a headache. "She got the numbers wrong, and sent this report directly to the King Group, what do we do now?"

Alice looked at the document and felt very anxious, Aurora's small mistake had resulted in a quotation that was over ten million dollars lower.

She thought for a moment. "Mr. King has a birthday party tonight, I'll go with Mr. Johnson and handle this."

Winter breathed a sigh of relief and glared at Aurora again. "Someone has to be responsible for the mistake."

Alice didn't look up. "According to company policy, responsibility lies with whoever made the mistake."

The Johnson Group had always been like this, she wasn't being vindictive, not handling such a big mistake would only invite criticism.

Alice went straight back to her office, while Aurora ran out crying.

An hour later, the HR department issued a transfer order: Winter was fired for work mistakes, and her entire quarterly bonus was deducted.

Winter couldn't believe it, and the HR manager brought back Aurora.

"What's going on?" Alice got up and looked at the HR manager.

The manager awkwardly explained, "It's Mr. Johnson's order."

Winter clutched the dismissal letter tightly, staring at Aurora standing at the door. "Why am I being fired? It wasn't my mistake."

Alice comforted her, "Don't worry, I'll go and ask for you."

As soon as Alice finished speaking, Michael's cold voice sounded from outside the door, "What's there to ask?"

He strode to Aurora's side, and Aurora quickly lowered her head, afraid he would see that she had been crying.

Michael was a bit impatient. "Look up."

Aurora bit her lip hard, then raised her head in grievance, a tear just falling.

Michael reached out to wipe away her tears, looking at Alice with a blank expression. "Explain."

Alice was amused by anger. "Explain what? Explain why she made a mistake, but someone else got fired? Or explain why she's crying for no reason?"

Michael had been around women for years, she didn't believe he couldn't see through Aurora's little tricks.

But Michael was really angry, he walked up to Alice, looking down at her. "Come to my office."

He turned and walked away, Alice took a deep breath and followed, Aurora followed as well.

Alice looked at her expressionlessly, Aurora looked scared again, tears about to fall.

Michael patted the chair next to him. "Sit here, Aurora, don't be afraid of her."

Aurora nodded obediently and sat carefully beside him.

Alice frowned slightly. "Why was Winter fired?"

"You skipped work yesterday, so Aurora kindly helped you with the report. Winter, as your assistant, had the responsibility to check all the data. Naturally, it would be Winter's fault if the numbers went wrong. Is there a problem?" Michael folded his hands, his eyes fixed on her.

After just one night, she seemed to have lost some weight, her red lips were full, and he suddenly thought of the scene in the car yesterday. He involuntarily swallowed.

Alice had expected him to defend Aurora, but she hadn't expected him to disregard company rules.

She looked directly into Michael's eyes. "Aurora is a dance major student, yet she was directly transferred to the secretarial office, Mr. Johnson, don't you think that's inappropriate?"

"I think it's very appropriate." Michael's expression was calm, his gaze only on her lips.

"But still, it was Aurora who modified the document and sent it without permission..."

"Enough, I said, it was supposed to be your work yesterday but you skipped. Now you want to shift the blame to an intern?" Michael's tone was calm, but there was a hint of anger in his eyes.

Alice stood up straight. "So, Mr. Johnson, do you think it's my responsibility?"

"Yes."

Getting a definite answer, Alice looked at him for a while, then suddenly nodded. "Okay, then I'll make up for it, no need to fire Winter. I'll go to Mr. King's birthday party tonight and talk to him."

Hearing this, Michael leaned back, smiling. "Considering you've been with me for a few years, I'll give you the chance."
