The Exiled Alpha is Coming

Lilith:

His words shook me as the memories of being down there came back to me. I had promised myself never to be taken there again.

"Fantastic! I'll take your silence as a no! So, it's your duty as a pack member to obey and be grateful that you'll get to be Luna of the pack.

Besides, you don't have a mate and I doubt that you'll ever have one."

The more he talked, the more I realized that I didn't have a choice but to find a mate.

"The wedding is in two days and that's final!" he declared.

One day. I only had one day and after that I was going to be married to that scumbag of a son, Ryder.

Ever since I got back to my room the previous day, I had not been in the mood to talk or see anyone.

I was still curled up in my bed as the sun's rays were trying to break into my room. I could tell that it was around noon.

My stomach rumbled, demanding to be fed, but my appetite had gone on a vacation.

The entire night, I had spent tossing and turning wondering if this was supposed to be my fate. Married to the one man that I couldn't even stand his sight. Not the best way to spend the rest of my life.

I'll give you a brief story.

Twenty years prior to that day, Alpha Zander was going for a run in the woods when he stumbled on a small basket, placed just at the edge of the forest.

Inside it was a beautiful baby girl with emerald green eyes and a smile that captured his soul. Taking the girl back to his pack house, he vowed to look after her and care for her as his own.

He named her Lilith Ashford, the name of his grandmother who had passed away recently.

That girl is me!

As he raised her and cared for me, I grew up with his son Ryder as my brother. As children, we got along perfectly, but as soon as we turned fifteen, things started changing.

During training, I always proved to be more capable than Ryder. I guess his mother, Raven, never liked that and pushed for Zander to kick me out of the Pack house. By the time I was sixteen, I was already living in the small room that I was living in at the moment.

Ryder grew more egocentric and didn't bother to improve on anything since being the Alpha's son, everything was handed to him on a silver platter. Ever since that day, he has always found new ways to piss me off to the point where the mentioning of his name made my blood boil.

I was now supposed to get married to him?

I doubted if I'd even survive the first night.

A knock on the door stirred me back to my senses and Seren was calling me from outside. Lazily, I got up and opened the door before I jumped back on the bed.

"I just heard the news. Are you going to be okay?" She asked as I buried my head in the pillows, contemplating whether death by suffocation was a better way to go.

"If I asked you to smother me with this pillow, would you?" I asked back, proving my state of mind at the moment.

"I would, but I doubt that I'll survive without you," she responded with a weak smile.

Just as I was about to add something, another knock rang at the door.

"Who could it possibly be this time?" I questioned, wanting to disappear completely.

"Probably your fiancé," Seren joked as I stared daggers at her, and she lifted her hands in surrender.

She went to open the door and, true to her guess, it was Ryder standing at the door. I immediately looked next to my bed for something I could grab and hurl at him, but just as I was about to stretch and grab the lamp on the bedside table, Seren called out to me.

"Lilith!"

‘Oh Moon Goddess.’ I lamented . ‘Please tell me that he is here to call off our wedding.’

Serene must've guessed my thought process and knew what I was about to do. Turning to Ryder, she asked him bluntly.

"What do you want?"

"I'm just here to bring her her dress."

Ryder responded, holding up a box that was tapped up. "We don't want the next Luna of the Silverfang Pack looking casual at her own wedding, do we?"

That was it, the nerve in this man for him to say that was my last straw. I shot up out of bed and made my way to him. Serene immediately stepped out of my way, seeing how mad I was.

I inched up to him such that I was all up in his face. "Why me? Why the rush to have a Luna the same day that you're being crowned Alpha?" I questioned him. "I have no problem with you being Alpha. My only problem is that you want me as your Luna, and I'll be damned if that happens!" I added, feeling a rush of adrenaline in my body.

"What are going to do to stop it? It's either you do it or you're going back to the dungeons. Besides, having a Luna means I'll have a complete pack. Nothing will be missing," He responded, a cocky smile forming on his face.

As he finished his statement, the conversation that we overheard with Seren played in my head and an idea popped up.

I stepped back and started pacing around trying to piece it all together. "A complete pack? It all now makes sense. You're not doing it just because you want to, you're doing it because you are scared," I stated as I paced around even more. I could tell that my pacing was already getting on his nerves as Seren stood in the corner of the room, silent.

"Scared? Scared of what?" He inquired, with a confident look on his face.

"Not what. Who," I answered him as I stopped pacing. I slowly turned to him and said, loud and clear, for him not to miss a word. "Kieran Blackwood. The Exiled Alpha."

I watched as all the blood drained from his face and he became pale. His hand twitched as his mouth dropped wide open in shock. It didn't require a genius to know

I was right!

"How the hell do you know that???" He demanded, his voice shaking with fear.

"He's coming, isn't he?" I asked with mockery.

"My father will send you---"

"---send me back to the dungeons? Go ahead. Run back to your daddy like the little pup you are!" I spat, cutting him short.

"No matter what, you're still getting married to me." He declared, slamming the door before bolting for the Pack House.
