CHAPTER 06. It Wasn’t An Ordinary Dream

The next day

A twenty-year-old woman immediately opened her eyes. The woman's expression was pale, as if she had met a ghost. The sun's light had entered the room so that the young mother-to-be realized that it was morning. “Oh, my… for the shake of Goddess Asiles. What happened to me? Thank Goddess, it was just a dream,” she mumbled quietly.

Lavena was silent for a moment, and then her right hand touched the bed. The young woman frowned because no one was next to her, so she tried to sit down, even with great difficulty. Soon, she could see the area was empty. After successfully doing so, the thin pink lips parted, and her face looked surprised.

“Where is my husband? Is Tristian already waking up? But why can't I hear my hubby getting out of bed? Is he okay?" Lavena muttered, confused.

She heard birds chirping from the outside, so the woman, who had a height of hundred and sixty-five centimetres tall, turned her attention towards the window. The mate of Tristian Varden Writh gaped. When she saw the object, it opened wide, so Lavena rubbed her eyes a few times as if she could not believe what she had just seen.

“For the sake of the great Goddess Asiles. Who has opened the window? I remember the window is usually closed, especially when we are about to sleep. But now, why does it open?" murmured the woman with long blonde hair, curious.

Curiosity enveloped the green-eyed woman, so she was now trying to get out of bed, and all of that was done with care. Every now and then, a twenty-year-old woman rubbed her bulging belly as she strolled toward the window. When she was almost there, Lavena's right leg bumped into something so that her steps stopped.

Lavena gasped, knowing what had hit her leg. "Hubby!"

The expression of a pregnant woman at twenty-three weeks looked deathly pale. In fact, she wanted to cry because she did not know the fate of the head of the family, who was lying down but in a prone position, so she could not see his face at all. "Hubby, wake up! Hubby!”

There has been no reaction at all from the husband, thus making the tears that had been held back finally fall. Lavena tried to bend down but could not hurry because her bulging stomach was preventing her from doing so. Having succeeded, the woman shook Tristian's body. “Hubby, do not scare me. Wake up! The morning has come."

Not long after, the red-haired man woke up, and this made his wife feel great relief. Tristian started to rub his eyes, then looked at his beloved spouse, who looked very panicked. Even the beautiful woman's eyes were puffy, causing pity in the family's head. “Why are you crying, Wifey? What has happened here?”

"I saw you were not in bed. I thought you were—” Lavena did not continue her words because the sharp-nosed woman's cry broke out again. Meanwhile, the husband is trying to change positions, and when he does so, he, as soon as possible embraces the body of his mate, then hugs her affectionately.

"I am here, darling. I had a nightmare last night. That dream was really scary because—”

This time, it was the turn of the well-built man who could not finish the words because it again recorded the memory of where the Goddess Magia visited him in his mind. This incident made Tristian's guts shrink. However, his wife had stopped crying and then looked into the face of the opposite sex. “A nightmare? What kind of nightmare did you have, Hubby? Please tell me."

"You will not believe it, honey." The red-haired man refused to tell, shaking his head several times. He seemed to want to forget the terrible event.

"Why? What happened there? Tell me because I also have nightmares, Hubby," Lavena urged.

When he heard the statement from his wife, the man who would soon become a father was as soon as possible taken aback so that his lips parted slightly. "What? Do you also have dreams like that? It is so weird.”

"I tell you the truth, Hubby. I met a goddess, but I could not see her face clearly. She was really scary." Lavena's expression turned pale as she tried to explain to her lovely husband, even though it had only happened in a dream and was now in reality.

“Now tell me about your nightmare, Wifey. It is okay." A man who had a bushy beard and sideburns urged his spouse, although this was done subtly.

"I dreamed it was so dark around me so that I could see nothing there." The young lady, who liked natural scenery, began to tell stories, and her beloved husband seemed to pay close attention to the story.

“When I found the light, I was so thirsty that I could not walk and sat down on the floor, unable to go on there. Suddenly, I heard something strange, yet odd." The face of the woman who was pregnant became frightened, thus making her husband feel pity. Tristian started to rub Lavena's cheek as if trying to calm the woman's soul mate.

“Last night, in my dream, I met a girl. No. More precisely, I met a goddess. She was not Goddess Asiles but Goddess Magia. I am sure I met her because she was furious and mentioned her messenger, our first child, who is still in the womb.” Lavena tried hard to get rid of the events that occurred in the dream, but it was in vain.

The man, who had a height of one hundred and eighty-five centimetres, was silent for a moment, and then his face turned pale as well. Lavena looked at the head of the family, which surprised her this time because the mate's expression looked like he had seen a ghost.

"Hubby? Are you okay? What happened?" asked Lavena, curious.

“I also experienced the same thing, Wifey. The difference is, it happens here, in our bedroom window," Tristian answered honestly.

Tristian pointed in the intended direction so that the intelligent woman could understand. Not long after, fear began to creep into the hearts of the husband and wife.

“B… but I think you really fall asleep here, Hubby. No… I do not want to think that Goddess Magia even….” The young mother-to-be said, stammering, unable even to finish her words. He could not imagine what it would be like if he met a goddess who was well-known among the people, let alone the one who lived in Zlatav.

"No, Wifey. I could not have fallen asleep on the floor like that. It is terrible because Goddess Magia also said the same thing: the child in your womb was strictly forbidden to be killed. If it is like this, we better follow what she wanted so that this family would be safe." The red-haired man still clearly remembered the warning the goddess had spoken. He became afraid, so he did not want to take any risks at all.

"I agree, Hubby. But what about our extended family? Our parents must be curious about Madame Lizhard's prediction. We can't lie about that, especially since you have to make a report about last night's visit. The fortune teller had promised to keep her mouth shut, but how about us?” Lavena asked her husband, staring at the bulging belly.

The man with the bushy beard and sideburns fell silent again. Meanwhile, the feelings of his lovely spouse, who was still twenty years old, were still volatile. Even the horror was clear on the interlocutor's face.

The owner of the luxurious residence could already imagine how they would have to deal with their respective family members, especially telling their respective parents about the situation they were experiencing, including the results of Madame Lizhard's prediction about their little unborn daughter.

They paused the conversation that had been created, waiting for a reaction from Tristian, the husband of Lavena Isolda Keira and the head of the Writh family in that residence.

“Regarding what we have been through, how about we agree to take this action—”
