CHAPTER 5
He saw Amelia standing behind the dining table, which was adorned with an array of delicious food.
Liam walked towards her, his eyes fixated on the mouthwatering spread on the table.
"Did you order all this?" Liam questioned, his face lighting up with a bright smile as he admired the spaghetti and fried chicken on the side.
"No, I cooked it," Amelia responded, her own smile beaming across her face.
Liam turned to look at her, his smile fading slightly.
"You cooked?" Liam groaned, walking towards the kitchen, but he was surprised to find everything clean and in order.
"Wow, I'm relieved to see the kitchen still intact," Liam sighed with a sense of relief.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Amelia whined, feeling a little hurt.
"Nothing, let's eat," Liam grinned, taking a seat at the table, and Amelia joined him.
She dished out some spaghetti onto his plate and added a piece of chicken.
Amelia sat down, watching as Liam deftly twisted some spaghetti onto his fork.
Liam was about to take a bite when he noticed Amelia staring at him from the corner of his eye.
"What?" he frowned, feeling a bit uncomfortable under her gaze.
"Nothing," Amelia giggled.
Liam playfully rolled his eyes before savoring the spaghetti in his mouth.
"Wow," Liam exclaimed, pleasantly surprised.
"What's wrong? Is it bad?" Amelia pouted, feeling a tinge of disappointment.
Liam looked at her, his usual cold expression transforming into a grin, revealing his perfect white teeth.
"This is delicious, Teddy," Liam said, taking another bite of spaghetti and moaning in satisfaction.
"Really?" Amelia asked, her doubts fading away. Liam nodded, acknowledging her cooking skills.
Amelia took a bite herself and smiled. A few minutes later...
"Nice cooking, Teddy," Liam complimented before standing up since he was already full.
"Don't you want to eat more?" Amelia asked, questioning him.
"Thanks, but I'm full," Liam replied before leaving and heading towards his room.
Amelia cleared the dining table and went to wash the dishes.
Hours later, after Liam had taken a bath and changed into his nightwear, he came down to the living room.
He saw Amelia sitting on the couch, trying to find something to watch, and unknowingly, he found himself smiling at her cuteness.
"Why am I smiling?" Liam questioned himself, just as Amelia looked in his direction and flashed him a smile.
He slowly walked towards her.
"What are you doing?" Liam asked as he sat on the opposite side of the couch.
"Trying to find something to watch since I'm bored," Amelia replied, returning her attention to the task at hand.
Liam noticed that she was wearing his clothes.
"Remind me to take you shopping tomorrow," Liam said, making Amelia look at him.
"Really? That would be lovely. But wait, how come I don't have any clothes or even a phone?" Amelia questioned, trying to remember what happened to her but experiencing a headache.
"Don't think about it, okay?" Liam said upon seeing her discomfort.
"No, I need to know what happened, Andrew. I don't even remember what happened before I was in the hospital," she groaned in frustration.
"Hey, it's okay. We're going to go shopping tomorrow and replace everything you lost," Liam assured her.
"I lost?" Amelia asked, puzzled, while Liam hummed, unsure of what to say.
"Was I ambushed?" Amelia gasped.
"Yes, you were!" Liam grinned.
"Oh my, how did that happen? I live in the same house as you," Amelia bombarded him with questions.
"Look, we were robbed, and they took all our stuff. One of them hit you on the head with a vase, but I made sure to teach him a lesson," Liam blurted out, feeling a surge of protectiveness.
"Oh, my boyfriend is so strong," Amelia squeaked, jumping on his lap and wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Can you get off me, please?" Liam requested, feeling a bit uncomfortable with her on his lap.
"Why don't you like it when I show you affection?" Amelia questioned out of the blue, still on his lap.
Liam's POV:
Gosh, hold it together, Liam. She doesn't remember who she is, okay? Don't push her off you... be cool. I said to myself, trying to resist the urge to push her off my lap.
"Answer me, Scott," Amelia blurted out, making Liam look at her strangely as his eyes widened.
"What did you just say?" Liam questioned her.
"I said, 'Answer me, Scott,'" Amelia repeated, causing Liam to push her off his lap.
"You remember, right?" Liam asked her, hoping she did.
"Remember what?" Amelia said, feeling confused.
"You said 'Scott'!" Liam exclaimed.
"Yes, I did. So?" Amelia asked, feeling uncomfortable.
"Who is Scott?" Liam inquired.
"You!" Amelia smiled, causing Liam to gasp, thinking she remembered her memory.
"Oh my, I'm so happy," Liam rushed towards her, pulling her into a hug, which made her giggle.
"But why Andrew?" Amelia asked while still hugging him happily.
Liam's POV:
I was so happy when she said 'Scott.' I thought maybe she remembered her memory and would eventually get rid of her tonight... But all my hopes were crushed when she said 'Andrew,' which made me back away from the hug.
"Gosh!" Liam scoffed, feeling disappointed as he stood up.
"What's wrong?" Amelia stood up, wondering why his mood always changed.
"Nothing," Liam frowned.
"No, tell me," Amelia whined.
"I said nothing!" he yelled.
"Then why does your mood change so often?" she questioned, feeling tired of his mood swings.
"Who is Liam Scott?" Liam asked out of the blue.
"Who the hell is that?" Amelia frowned.
"A dashing, young, hot billionaire who values his personal space," Liam said through gritted teeth, looking directly at Amelia before leaving.
"I don't think he's hot," Amelia muttered, making Liam turn to look at her.
"What did you just say?"
