CHAPTER 7

Liam found himself sitting in his office, deep in thought, when suddenly two intimidating men in black suits barged into the room, causing him to jump in fright for a moment.

"Jeez, you guys scared the life out of me," he muttered, attempting to recover from the initial shock. The men approached him, standing tall with their broad shoulders positioned right in front of him. Liam couldn't help but feel slightly irritated by their proximity.

"Could you guys step back a bit?" Liam groaned, his annoyance evident. The two men complied, taking a step back simultaneously, while Liam's eyes scanned through a file on his desk.

"Ah, according to this file, it says that both of you are incredibly strong," Liam blurted out, tapping his finger on the page.

"Yes, boss," they replied in unison, earning a smirk from Liam.

"Good, but how about we put your strength to the test?" Liam suggested, as the two men exchanged confused glances, wondering what he had in mind for them.

"Lift me higher," Liam demanded, positioning himself between the hands of the two men. After a few minutes of being elevated, he signaled them to lower him back down, which they did.

"Well, you guys are hired. I need you to always keep her safe," Liam informed them, showing a picture of Amelia on his phone, taken without her knowledge.

"Yes, boss," they responded determinedly.

"Alright, you can leave now. I'm sure you already know where I live," Liam muttered, as they nodded before exiting the office.

"Why do I have a feeling that something bad is about to happen?" Liam murmured to himself, his thoughts filled with unease, before shaking his head to dismiss the notion.

Liam returned home early from work, as he needed to accompany Amelia for a shopping trip. He threw his bag onto the couch and removed his tie before heading upstairs to his room. Upon opening the door, he closed it softly and proceeded to take off his clothes, leaving only his boxer shorts on.

"Let me take a quick shower first," he murmured, preparing to enter the bathroom. To his surprise, as he opened the bathroom door, he was greeted by the sight of a naked Amelia, droplets of water glistening on her milky skin. Liam stood frozen, unable to tear his eyes away as they scanned her body. Amelia slowly walked towards him, causing Liam's legs to feel weak as he struggled not to stumble.

"You always wanted to see me naked," Amelia whispered in Liam's ear, her words making his heart race as he tried to maintain his composure.

"I know I never let you touch me because I wasn't ready, and you got frustrated by that. Maybe that's why your mood keeps changing towards me," she explained, leaving Liam blinking rapidly, trying to comprehend her words.

"Umm... huh?" Liam finally found his voice, attempting not to stutter.

"You respected my boundaries by not touching me, but now I think I'm ready," Amelia blurted out, dropping herself onto Liam, her hand wrapping around his neck. Liam's eyes widened as her wet, naked body pressed against his, arousing him.

"What do you think you're doing?" Liam frowned, trying to release himself from her grasp, but she tightened her legs around his torso, preventing him from letting go.

"Let's have sex," Amelia propositioned, rocking her hips against his already evident arousal. Liam groaned, gripping her waist tightly to prevent her from moving.

"What are you doing to me?" Liam groaned, eventually dropping her and hastily leaving the bathroom.

"Andrew!" Amelia called out to him, but he ignored her.

Amelia sat on the living room couch, clad in Liam's hoodie and sweatpants, as Liam descended the stairs. He was wearing a hoodie similar to Amelia's.

"Let's go," he muttered without glancing at her, heading towards the exit.

"What's wrong with him?" Amelia pondered, puzzled by his behavior, before following him to the car.

The car ride remained silent, but Amelia decided to break the silence by turning on the radio. The song "I Need to Know" by Doja Cat played in the background.

"Baby, show me what it's like," Amelia sang along to the music, causing Liam to feel tense and flustered. She continued to groove to the music while Liam attempted to avoid paying attention to her.

"I heard from a friend of a friend that your... you know, was a perfect 10," Amelia blurted out, causing Liam to abruptly hit the brakes. He turned off the music, then looked at Amelia, who appeared confused. He struggled to find the right words to say, but images of her naked body kept flashing in his mind.

"Goodness," Liam groaned, pounding his hands on the steering wheel repeatedly, unintentionally triggering the car horn. An elderly woman nearby cursed angrily at him for honking when the road was clear. Liam muttered an apology to the irate woman before driving away.

Liam and Amelia arrived at the mall. Liam sat on a couch in the dressing room, flipping through a magazine. Amelia, trying on various dresses, opened the curtain of the dressing room.

"How do I look?" Amelia asked Liam.

"Huh?" Liam muttered, his eyes meeting Amelia's.

Liam's POV:

Oh my gosh, she looks incredibly sexy in that dress. It clings to her body, accentuating her perfect curves. What's wrong with me? Why am I fixating on her appearance?

"Nice," he casually commented, causing Amelia to frown.

"I guess I won't be getting this one," Amelia sighed.

"Why not?" Liam frowned.

"Because you don't like it," Amelia confessed.

"What makes you think I don't?" Liam questioned her.

"Well, you..." Liam interrupted her.

"I actually like the dress, okay?" Liam muttered softly, but Amelia heard him and smiled.

"Hehe, alright," she said, handing the dress to the salesgirl to be packed with the others.

Amelia finished her shopping, and they proceeded to the cashier to pay for the dress. Liam handed his card to the cashier, who accepted it with a smile.

"You're Liam Scott, right?" the cashier blurted out, causing Liam to groan, while Amelia looked on, confused about the situation.

"I think you've got the wrong person," Liam replied, trying to maintain politeness.

"No, you are Liam," the cashier insisted, adamant in her belief.

"Can't you focus on your work and leave me alone?" Liam snapped, growing increasingly irritated with the cashier.

"I'm sorry, but can I have your number?" she asked, extending her phone towards Liam and biting her lip seductively. Amelia frowned at the cashier's actions as Liam swiftly retrieved his card from her.

"Let's go, babe," Liam said to Amelia, a smile on his face, before shooting a disgusted look at the cashier. He grabbed Amelia's hand and walked away, leaving the cashier glaring after them.

Amelia and Liam got into the car. Liam placed the shopping bags on the backseat and Amelia couldn't help but smile, still elated from being called "babe" by Liam. Liam glanced at her, rolled his eyes, and started the car. As they drove on the road, suddenly a car blocked their path.

"What the hell?" Liam exclaimed, confused.

A group of men emerged from the car, brandishing knives and other weapons, their gaze fixed on Liam.

"What's going on?" Amelia asked, her voice filled with concern.

"I have no idea," Liam replied, his eyes widening as another man stepped out of the vehicle.

"Oh no, not him..." Liam muttered under his breath, recognizing the menacing figure before him.
