Chapter 6 He’s a Treasure

Matthew thought of the worried look on her face because of her mother. He sneered and said, "What's more, since the James family even dared to kidnap her mother, then they don't have to covet that piece of land worth a billion dollars. I want to teach them a lesson."

Matthew had already investigated his wife who married him for someone else and the reason behind it. So, it was because of her seriously ill mother.

Jensen was stunned for a moment, and then he suddenly smiled and said, "Got it. I promise to complete the task!"

Jensen quickly gave his orders. The staff member who had received the instructions walked to Candice with an appraisal report and a mortgage contract.

"I'm sorry, Miss. Our professor was wrong before! Although your ring is ordinary in colour, its craftsmanship is very delicate. So, we want to offer you a different price. The value of this ring is about thirty thousand dollars."

"Thirty-thirty thousand dollars?"

Even after receiving the check, Candice was still in a daze. Three thousand dollars turned out to be thirty thousand dollars. No one would be able to accept such a pleasant surprise in such a short period.

But fortunately, in this way, she could not only help her mother to cure the disease and pay the tuition fee for her brother but also keep the bracelet that Matthew gave her.

With money, Candice could take her mother from her father and send her to a better hospital for treatment.

Putting the check into her pocket, Candice decided to put the bracelet that Matthew had given her back home and then go find her father to ask about her mother's location.

"Oh, my sister is back!" Catherine's shrill voice was full of sarcasm. She sat on the sofa and looked at Candice arrogantly.

She wondered if Candice led a good life those past days.

Catherine couldn't help but be secretly delighted when she thought of how the man Candice married was a poor and well-known gangster.

Ever since she was young, she seemed to be nothing compared to Candice.

Even if Candice was wearing Catherine's old clothes from a few years ago, some people praised her beauty.

Candice laughed dryly and pulled her hand out lightly.
