CHAPTER 3 We Need To Stop
Desmond's POV
"Right here honey," I replied as I pushed Tasha off me and put on my pants.
"There you are," Mary said as she entered the kitchen, are attention fully focused on the keys on the table. "I forgot my keys."
"Oh, you should be more careful next time baby," I replied as I walked towards her, Tasha on the other hand was sitting at the kitchen counter having her breakfast.
"Yeah bye," Mary said and was about to leave when she stopped and then looked at me, my heart skipped a beat as I thought maybe we had been caught. "Take Tasha to school, I don't want her skipping class."
"Yes, I will honey," I replied letting out a heavy sigh of relief.
As I watched Mary leave, my heart raced with a mix of relief and guilt. The room felt heavy with the weight of our secrets, and I couldn't help but feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins. Tasha sat there smiling, her presence both enticing and dangerous.
The affair between me and her had started innocently, with casual conversations and stolen glances. But as time went on, the connection between us grew stronger, like a magnetic force pulling us together. Tasha became my escape from the loneliness and neglect I felt in my marriage.
Mary, my wife, had been a loyal and devoted partner. She had always supported me until her whole life became consumed by work. I knew deep down that I was betraying her trust by sleeping with her kid sister but I couldn't help it.
Because Tasha... Tasha was like a drug I couldn't resist. Her mere presence ignited a fire within me, a passion that I had longed for but never found in my marriage. She filled the void that had grown between Mary and me, and I found solace in her arms.
"Can we continue?" Tasha asked jolting me back from my thoughts.
"Seriously, after what just happened," If there is one thing I have learned about Tasha is her fearless nature. She doesn't care what happened, she just wants to do whatever she likes.
"Why not? I mean you are still hard."
"Fine get it done with," I replied unable to resist any further.
Sitting in the car outside Tasha's school, I felt a knot of anxiety tightening in my stomach. I couldn't stop thinking about how Mary almost caught us today and I knew I needed to find a way to end it. Tasha sat beside me, unaware of the storm brewing in my mind.
As I looked at her, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Tasha had become more than just a secret lover, she had become a confidante, a friend. But I couldn't ignore the consequences of our actions any longer. It wasn't just my marriage at stake, it was also Tasha's relationship with her sister.
I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to express my thoughts. I knew Tasha could be stubborn, and I needed to approach this delicately. I couldn't afford to push her away or hurt her in the process.
"Hey, Tasha," I began, my voice filled with a mix of nervousness and determination. "I need to talk to you about something important."
She turned to me, her eyes curious yet guarded. She knows anytime I call her Tash, I am being serious "What is it?" she asked, her voice tinged with a hint of apprehension.
I hesitated for a moment, gathering my thoughts. "I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, and I've come to a difficult decision," I said, my heart pounding in my chest.
Tasha's expression softened, sensing the seriousness of the moment. "What is it?" she asked again, her voice barely above a whisper.
Taking a deep breath, I continued, "I can't continue this affair anymore. It's not fair to my wife, and it's not fair to you either. I don't want to jeopardize your relationship with your sister or the love and trust I have with my wife."
As the words left my lips, a heavy silence settled between us. The weight of the decision hung in the air, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in her mind.
"What the fuck are you talking about!" Tasha yelled I wasn't surprised because, that's the Tasha I know, she won't take it lightly. "I just gave you a blowjob like fifteenth minutes ago and you are talking trash about breaking up with me."
"Breaking up? This isn't a relationship Tasha-"
"Hell yeah, it is!" Tasha exclaimed cutting me off completely. "We do everything that people in a relationship do Desmond, I am more of a wife to you than my sister," Her eyes were already turning red as if she was about to cry.
"Tasha, I am married to your sister, we can't keep doing this to her."
"You didn't think of this when you were fucking me!"Tasha replied angrily as tears welled up in her eyes, I could see the shock and hurt in her eyes. It pained me to see her like this, but I knew I had to stay firm in my decision. This affair had gone on for too long, and it was time to face the consequences.
"I'm sorry, Tasha," I said, my voice filled with remorse. "I never meant to give you the wrong impression. I care about you, but I can't continue this affair. It's not fair to anyone involved."
Tasha's face contorted with a mix of anger and sadness. "How could you do this to me?" she cried out, her voice laced with betrayal.
"I never intended for things to get this far," I replied softly. "I truly thought I could handle it, but it's become clear that it's not sustainable. I need to focus on my marriage with Mary and work things out before it's too late."
"Oh please, my sister would rather jump into the lagoon than admit something is wrong with her marriage," she said as she got down from the car and slammed the door shut angrily.
As I walked through the front door, exhaustion weighed heavy on my shoulders.
It had been a hectic day, filled with overtime and looming deadlines. The thought of a quiet evening at home was a comforting one.
But as I stepped into the house, a flicker of confusion crossed my face. The dining table was beautifully set, adorned with plates, silverware, and a centerpiece of fresh flowers. It was a sight I hadn't seen in a while.
I couldn't help but wonder why the table was set. We rarely had dinner together, especially at this hour. My mind raced with possibilities. Had something special happened? Or was it Mary trying to be extra tonight?
Curiosity mingled with exhaustion as I made my way closer to the table. The aroma of a home-cooked meal wafted through the air, filling the space with a comforting scent. It was clear that someone had put in effort to prepare this.
"You love what you see?" I heard Mary say from behind, I turned to see her fully dressed with a smile on her face.
"You did this for us?" I asked looking all confused. I can't remember the last time me and Mary had a quiet dinner together.
"Not just for us, but for also Tasha and her boyfriend," I was taken aback when I heard the word boyfriend. "Here they come," Mary said and I looked up the stairs to see Tasha hand in hand with another man.
What the fuck is going on?
