Chapter 2 Escape From the Wedding

Her reaction was beyond everybody's expectation.

Anthony was stunned.

He couldn't believe that Janet slapped him.

How could she stop loving him because of such a small thing?

He knew very well how much she loved him.

The wedding hall was so quiet. It seemed that no one had expected that a wedding would become like this.

"Don't call me like that. You don't deserve it."

After that, she raised her head, ignored Anthony and walked away.

When Anthony came to his sense, Janet had already disappeared.

“Look what she did, she has brought disgrace on our family."

Janet's stepmother, Jenny Barnes, whispered to her father, Hanson.”

"Mom, In case she'll do anything stupid, we'd better find my sister as soon as possible. "

Janet's step-sister, Maeve, pretended to concern for Janet.

Jenny snorted. "What will she do? Her boyfriend is that kind of person. I don't think she'll be better than him."

Maeve continued, "But we are a family!"

"A family? Your father is a successful  man in his business. Because of her, the Greens became a joke. Do you still think she is our family?" Jenny provoked Hanson.

Maeve wanted to continue, but Hanson was already irritated by their words. He shouted, "No one is allowed to look for her! I don't want a daughter as shameful as her!"

After that, he left with anger.

Seeing this, Jenny and Maeve smiled to each other. "Good job, my daughter!" Jenny whispered to Maeve.

They knew their dream that drive Janet out of the Greens would come true soon.

Anthony noticed that Janet got into a luxury car with a man.

It seemed that she had hooked up with a rich man a long time ago. How could she criticize him?

Anthony clenched his fists, "Janet, you're always mine."

Janet went to the most expensive club in Seattle.

She wanted to numb herself through alcohol.

Because this was her fisrt time to be here, the colorful lights, the heavy metal music and the people with weird clothes and hairstyles dazzled her.

But she ignored the discomfort of her body.

She cried to the bartender, "I want wine, the stronger, the better!"

After drinking a glass of wine, she started crying. You couldn't tell it was because the wine was too strong or she was too sad.

After another glass of wine, she began to shout.

"Anthony, you bastard!"

"You shameless asshole!"

"You..."

Suddenly, a girl sat next to her and said, "Janet, what brings you here?"

Janet looke at the girl in the sexy dress. She was too drunk to recognize her.

"Janet, don't you remember me? I'm Maeve's friend!" The girl was a little surprised when she saw the tears all over her face.

Janet nodded. Obviously, she was not in the mood to chat.

Realizing that Janet didn't want to talk, the girl stood up and left.

But before that, she ordered two more glasses of wine for Janet.

And then she winked at her companion and dialed Maeve's number.

As soon as Maeve answered the phone, the girl talked first, "Congratulations, Maeve. It seems that your plan worked well."

"How did you know?" Maeve asked with a happy tone.

"Your dear sister is drinking in the club right now." The girl said and looked at her shiny fingernails casually, "You're so cruel to make her lose her face at the wedding. Tsk, tsk. She looks so upset and disappointed."

Obviously, this girl was also an insider.

On the other end of the phone, Maeve said with a smile, " I'm not cruel. I just helped her see through a scum's trick. If you want to blame someone, you should blame her for her bad fate."

Hearing this, the two started laughing. "I also did you a favour."

"What?"

"I ordered some strong wine for her. Because she doesn't often drink, she'll probably be so drunk later! If anything happens... it's none of my business."
