CHAPTER 3: Slept with the wrong person!?
Lydia's POV
My body. It feels like I'm on fire! I am so sore all over. As I blinked faintly, fluttering my eyelids open, the sunrays glared into my face harshly. My eyes took some time to adjust to the scene, and then, they traveled down. It was the man of my dreams, in the same bed with me.
But wait, wasn't he a little too wild with me last night? I shouldn't be feeling so sore, knowing how much of a gentleman he is in real life. Jose Bailey knows how to please a woman, I'd give him that. But...he didn't really give off as a type to go all out when a chance arises.
Besides, the power of his thrusts were so inhuman...I could still feel the quakes in my body! Ah, what a wonderful night~
Hey...that face isn't very familiar, but familiar enough. Seeds of confusion were planted in me as I rubbed my eyes out of slumber. No...it can't be...
I gulped heavily, plopping up on my elbows to get a better view of the man sleeping on his stomach. He was facing me, lost in slumber like he had the best night of his life!
A shaky breath of realization left my soul when I recollected the man's facial features.
...It wasn't Jose Bailey!
In fact, this man is my idol's top rival! This can't be true!
An unholy gasp was about to leave my mouth when I slapped my mouth shut! I can't allow this man to notice I'm gone. I feel really uncomfortable right now. Last night was a myth! I didn't sleep with Jose, but with his rival, LEVI DAVIS!
Oh Jose, please forgive me for what I've done to you! Don't you question my loyalty, I'd always be loyal to you, Jose Bailey!
Shaking the disgust out of my system, I slowly and softly descended the bed. The man was a heavy sleeper, I thanked the almighty for that. As soon as I got out of the bed, I tiptoed around to gather all my belongings. They were scattered all across the hotel room! How crazy were we last night!
Oh, wait! Don't think about it, Lydia! Just get out of here!
And I did just that. Within a minute, I threw my sexy dress and clutched my heels and purse in my hands skillfully. The way I barged out of the room would make anyone think I've just escaped death! And so, I quickly made my way downstairs. I needed to collect something important.
Looking at the watch I was wearing while rushing down the stairs, I realized it was way past ten! Grace must be worried for me. Especially when I promised her to come back home by midnight, safe and sound.
I am safe and sound, but my soul is crushed! I blame it on the alcohol!
But...I did meet Jose, he took me to the date even. Oh, I can't wait to get back home and yap Grace's ears out! What have I done!?
"Hello, excuse me. My phone, please."
"Ah, its you. I hope you had a good night—" snatching my device from the same bartender from last night, I growled in his face,
"No,"
I went straight back home, I felt so weak in my legs to even walk the corridor to my apartment door! Ding dong, and Grace opened the door with a spatula in her hand.
"Someone looks like they got lucky," She spoke in a monotonous tone, but I simply pushed her aside and crashed into the couch in our hall.
"You better tell me what happened last night, Lydia. Or I'll sear you like my breakfast."
My lower lip quivered dramatically, "Did you ever wish for a dream, but a nightmare kissed you and fucked you so good that you can't walk without looking like a newborn fawn?"
"Fucking hell, Lydia. Who's this 'nightmare' who turned you so poetic? It better not be Jose himself." Grace turned to me, a demonic smile on her face as the sizzling strips of bacon cooked behind her.
"You hit the nail, Grace. It wasn't Jose, I slept with Levi Davis! The captain of Jose's rival team, Ice Gladiators!"
Grace gave me her iconic scoffing chuckle, shoulders jumping as she was in disbelief, too! I walked around the apartment, explaining to her the details of my night as I remembered it. I changed into my pajamas, feeling comfortable but still nasty from the experience.
Minutes into our sizzling discussion, there was a loud noise which interrupted us. I raised an eyebrow, knowing exactly where this was coming from. Our apartment has paper thin walls. So thin that I could fart and my neighbor would complain to the society about inappropriate behavior.
"I'm gonna check it out. Once was fine, thrice is just disruption." Grace hummed at me. Walking my tired body up to the neighbor's front door, I knocked and rang the bell twice. No response. It's been a minute or a two, I couldn't stop tapping my feet to the ground, waiting!
And then, the door swung open by our not so quiet neighbor, "Excuse me, sir, could you not—"
And an unholy gasp left my mouth for the umpteenth time since last night! The man...
"YOU!" He shrugged his shoulders,
"Yes. Me." He answered nonchalantly.
"...Are you fucking following me, Levi Davis? If you are, just know that I'll expose your stalking behavior to the public and bring your reputation down in a click of my fingers." To emphasize, I clicked my fingers as he remained unfazed.
...Did he even comprehend what I've just said?
"I wasn't stalking you, I don't have the need to. Also, coincidence is a rational thing in this real world, if you didn't know." His unfazed nature fazes me! Scoffing at him, I breathed out heavily. I can't stand his nonchalance. His attitude repels me away.
Just as I was about to leave, however, I hear the words I've been so eagerly suppressing,
"Hey, uh...
Do you remember what happened last night?"
I...felt chills down my spine.
"I..."
