Chapter 5
Hilda stood there transfixed.
"Miss if you please." The bodyguard said.
Hilda got into the car but didn't say a word to Alexander.
Soon they arrived at a luxurious building. The car was opened for both of them; they both stepped out of the car and a man ran towards Alexander greeting him with a bow.
"Welcome sir."
Alexander only nodded to his greetings.
"Right this way sir." John said, leading the way.
Alexander held Hilda's hands and led her in.
"Take the young miss and get her ready for the shoot." John ordered he didn't want anything to go wrong.
"Yes sir." His attendants answered.
"Be a good girl and get ready for the shoot."
Alexander whispered which made Hilda cringe.
They led Hilda to the room and began applying make up on her face.
"Miss this is the dress prepared for you by the master." It was an exquisite dress and it has Lily's trade mark in it.
Hilda almost raised her brows. They just left Lily's store. How did one of her clothes end up here?
Hilda didn't like the dress. If she wore it, her back would be completely visible. Was that man really that shameless?
Without a choice she wore the dress with a slight cut at the front with her back open.
Hilda slowly walked down the stairs. Alexander smiled seeing her he was right the dress suits her.
"You look so beautiful Miss." John complimented.
"Thank you." Hilda answered.
The photo shoot began, and Alexander stood so close to Hilda. Her heart skipped a beat.
Was he really going to seduce her in front of a camera? They weren't acting a movie.
"Sir, I think we should make the picture more perfect."
"What are you suggesting?" Alexander asked.
"You should hold the young Miss more." The photographer suggested.
Alexander moved closer to Hilda and held her by the waist. Hilda was surprised and she tried to let go of his grip.
Throughout the entire shoot, she had been forcing a smile. And now, they were violating her privacy by holding her by the waist. She slightly glared at Alexander, but he gave her a smile.
Soon, Hilda was asked to sit while Alexander stood behind her.
After almost an hour of taking pictures, the photo shoot finally came to an end.
Hilda felt relieved. Her phone buzzed and it put a smile on her face.
"Hey Jack." Hilda said excitedly. Alexander's eyes darkened.
Was she speaking to a guy even when he was right there with her?
He was her fiance, and she dared speak to another man in front of him.
"Really? You're back? I miss you so much Jack." Hilda said.
Alexander was even more surprised she was openly confessing her feelings to someone else.
"To meet? Of course I'll ask someone to pick you up and take you to my apartment, and you can spend the night." Hilda said.
"Who is that?" Alexander finally asked, as he couldn't hold it in any longer. How dare she plan on sleeping with some guy.
"Jack I'll call you soon I'll ask the driver to pick you up." Hilda said ignoring Alexander's question.
After that, she disconnected the call.
Alexander, who couldn't control his rage, held her wrist tightly.
"Who was that?" Alexander asked yet again.
"My friend." Hilda answered.
"Friend? You are planning on sleeping with someone?" Alexander asked.
His anger was visible and the grip on her wrist tightened even more.
"Alexander please stop you're hurting me." Hilda said as the pain in her wrist was almost unbearable.
"Answer the darn question!" Alexander yelled.
"My best friend called. Her name is Jacqueline but she loves being called Jack by her friends.
She just came back to the country." Hilda explained as best she could.
Alexander didn't trust those words but he released his grip on her hands. Hilda held her wrist and it was red. She was about to cry if he hadn't released her hands.
"I want to go home." Hilda said coldly.
"I'll take you home." Alexander said.
"Fine. I want to go right now." Hilda said not compromising.
He asked one of his subordinates to get her a suit to cover her back. And also to check on Jack's identity.
Hilda was still slightly angry that she had to wear the long and tacky dress, but still she accepted his kind gesture by taking the suit.
Hilda's stuff from before was given back to her. She got into the car with Alexander.
The ride was awfully quiet and this time, Hilda was really mad at him. If at first she was scared of him, now she hates him.
Soon, they arrived at her home. Hilda had just picked up her stuffs and was about to leave.
The guards refused to open the door for her but she found out the door was locked.
"Don't do anything stupid Miss Thompson and remember when the wedding would be held."
With that said, his bodyguard opened the door for Hilda and she got down without a word.
She had texted her mom to ask a driver to pick Jack up from the airport.
Soon Jacqueline arrived at her apartment.
Hilda had told her about her abrupt wedding. Jacqueline consoled her.
The next day, Hilda decided to go over to her mother's with Jacqueline. She planned on spending the night there. Elenore was waiting in the living room. As soon as she saw both of them she hugged Hilda, and then Jacqueline.
"Jacqueline, it's so good to see you." Elenore said with excitement.
"You too aunt." Jacqueline said.
"I'm not going to beat around the bush, I want to take you shopping.
You need something exquisite to wear to Hilda's wedding. You are her best friend after all."
Elenore said and Jacqueline agreed.
Albert was really happy his daughter decided to come home to spend the night.
It was their family ritual to have the daughter stay in her parents home the day to the wedding and after marriage her husband's home.
The day of the wedding
"Do you take Alexander Hartman to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I…"
