Chapter 10
Andrew and Susan were doing everything they could to make Alexandra smile.
Lucas was completely baffled by the scene.
They claimed Alexandra was their daughter, but what was really going on?
Everyone knew Andrew and Susan had four kids. So, who was this Alexandra?
And they were treating her like royalty!
Andrew and Susan used to take Celeste shopping when they had time, but they mostly just tagged along to the checkout.
They never doted on Celeste like this.
They were practically worshipping Alexandra, spoiling her rotten.
Even if they were her parents, wasn't this a bit over the top?
As Lucas was trying to make sense of it all, Alexandra finally spoke up, "It's fine, everything's great."
Seeing Alexandra's indifferent expression, Susan couldn't help but worry, "Alexandra, do you not like these? If you don't, we can call the designer at Aurelius Atelier right now and get a new batch made for you!"
Everyone knew that Alexandra was the only designer at Aurelius Atelier.
Drawing up a design took at least a few days, and creating a new batch would take at least six months.
Alexandra shivered at the thought.
"No, it's fine. I really like them."
She subtly refused to give herself more work.
Although Susan and Andrew were still a bit concerned, since Alexandra had spoken, they couldn't say much more.
"Alright then, we'll buy these for now and come back in a while! Maybe the store will have new items by then!"
Susan said, signaling Lucas to start packaging.
Alexandra couldn't help but think that even in six months, Aurelius Atelier probably wouldn't have many new items.
"Lucas, how much is it? Charge it to my card!"
Andrew confidently pulled out his gold card and handed it to Lucas.
Lucas smiled as he gave the total, "Mr. Windsor and Mrs. Windsor, each item at Aurelius Atelier starts at a minimum of five hundred thousand dollars. We currently have two hundred items in the store, so the total comes to fifty-eight million dollars."
"That's quite a price."
Alexandra sighed, even though she set the prices herself.
But she never wore her own brand before, so she never truly realized how expensive it was.
However, Susan and Andrew were indeed very wealthy.
So even such a large expense was nothing to them.
But since it was Alexandra's first day back home and her first meeting with her biological parents, she felt a bit guilty about making them spend so much.
Lucas didn't initially understand Alexandra's hint. He smiled and explained, "Every piece at Aurelius Atelier is meticulously designed, made from the finest materials, and handcrafted. Each item takes a lot of time and effort. Aurelius Atelier values quality over quantity, and this price is actually not that high among luxury brands."
"Really? But I still think it's quite expensive."
Alexandra said, turning to look at Lucas.
This time, her gaze was cold, with a hint of pressure.
Lucas shivered, instantly understanding Alexandra's hint.
"The price is indeed a bit high. Mr. Windsor and Mrs. Windsor are loyal customers of Aurelius Atelier. We should give you a discount."
"How about a ten percent discount?"
Alexandra's gaze grew even colder.
Lucas's scalp tingled, and he started stammering, "How about twenty percent off?"
But Alexandra's expression remained unchanged, still pressuring him.
Lucas took a deep breath, "Seventy-five percent off! That's the lowest discount I can offer! I can't go any lower!"
"Alright, seventy-five percent off it is."
Although Alexandra owned the entire Aurelius Atelier brand and could technically take all the items without spending a dime, she didn't want Susan and Andrew to know her identity just yet. She also didn't want them to spend too much money on her, so she hinted at Lucas to give a discount.
Lucas's proactive price reduction shocked everyone present.
Especially the other store clerks. They knew luxury stores never offered discounts.
Especially not Aurelius Atelier. No matter how big a member a customer was, discounts were never allowed.
Even though Lucas had the authority, he had never proactively offered a discount before, at most giving away some gifts.
Today, Lucas's actions left everyone puzzled.
"You can pay now."
As Andrew stood there stunned, Alexandra's calm voice broke the silence.
"No need for a discount! The original price isn't that high. Why bother with a discount?"
Andrew finally snapped out of it, "Alexandra, we just want to give you the best! There's no need for a discount."
"If there's a discount, why not take it?" Alexandra insisted, "You work hard for your money. Let's pay with the discount."
Andrew glanced at Susan, who nodded, "Let's do as Alexandra says."
"The money saved from the discount, I'll transfer it to your account later as pocket money."
The discount saved nearly a billion dollars. They casually decided to give it to Alexandra as pocket money.
Andrew and Susan were truly wealthy! Their generosity was astounding.
Their actions left everyone present envious.
Lucas quickly had the items packaged and sent to the Windsor family.
Alexandra followed Andrew and Susan back home.
When they arrived, Celeste was sitting in the living room, looking furious.
Seeing them return, Celeste immediately stood up.
But the next second, numerous clothes, jewelry, and bags were delivered.
"I didn't expect Aurelius Atelier to be so fast! Take everything up to Alexandra's room!"
Andrew instructed the maids, while Celeste's face turned pale.
"Dad, Mom! Are all these from Aurelius Atelier?"
"Yes! Celeste, don't block the way!" Susan was fully focused on directing the delivery, slightly annoyed by Celeste's presence.
Celeste was even more distraught, "You only ever buy me a few items at a time. Why did you buy so much for Alexandra?"
"Celeste! Alexandra hasn't been home for many years. We owe her. Buying more this time is to make it up to her! Do you really have to compete over this too?"
