Chapter 6

Just in case, he decided to speak up first.

"Alright, ten million dollars per session."

Alexandra was practically extorting him. If it were anyone else, they would have cursed and refused outright.

But Frederick not only didn't refuse, he happily agreed.

"Deal!"

"Tell your bodyguards to step aside," Alexandra said, thinking Frederick was a complete fool, the kind of person who might be a bit unhinged.

At Frederick's signal, the men in black suits quickly made way.

Elodie hurried to catch up. "Alexandra, do you need a ride?"

"No, I have something important to do today. Elodie, please send my regards to Mr. Brown."

With that, Alexandra quickly left.

Elodie watched her go, unable to help but feel a bit envious.

Life really isn't fair. Alexandra was beautiful, young, and full of potential—a true genius.

Elodie, on the other hand, had been someone Declan wanted to nurture. But after years of studying medicine, she ended up as just a head nurse.

She was practically clueless about medical skills.

"Are you the head nurse?"

Frederick's voice snapped Elodie out of her thoughts.

"Yes."

Elodie was a bit hostile towards Frederick and his group. After all, they had just ganged up on Alexandra.

"You and that girl seem close?"

Frederick continued to ask.

Elodie nodded. "She's my father's student. We're practically best friends."

"Alright, my grandfather won't be transferred, but his treatment is now entirely your responsibility. If anything happens to him, I won't forgive you."

Frederick's eyes were sharp, his voice cold.

"I'm just a head nurse, not a doctor!" Elodie was exasperated. "Besides, Mr. Harris Johnson is already awake. Alexandra said he still needs surgery to fully recover!"

"Dr. Simon, isn't Mr. Harris Johnson's surgery your responsibility?"

Simon was sweating bullets, trembling under Frederick's gaze.

Frederick stepped closer to Simon, who was now drenched in sweat.

"Arrange my grandfather's surgery as soon as possible. If anything goes wrong, you'll be buried with him!"

Frederick's imposing presence was overwhelming.

Simon swallowed hard. "I'll get right on it."

For Simon, this was a chance to redeem himself.

Simon and a team of doctors went to prepare for Harris's surgery.

Frederick stayed by Harris's side.

"Frederick, that girl was amazing. I feel like I'm fully recovered, like nothing's wrong!"

Seeing Harris so lively and energetic, Frederick felt much more at ease. "Yeah, it's incredible what one pill can do!"

"But you still need the surgery. After it's done, we'll find a way to contact her again. She can help you fully recover."

Harris nodded. "She's a remarkable young lady!"

Outside the hospital.

The driver had been waiting for a long time. When he saw Alexandra, his eyes lit up.

"Miss Alexandra Smith, you're finally back! Mr. Windsor and Mrs. Windsor have been asking about you repeatedly. If we were any later, I might have gotten scolded!"

"I'm really sorry, I got held up."

Alexandra got into the car, apologizing politely.

"It's alright, but we might have to drive fast. Please bear with us."

"Okay."

An hour later, they arrived at the Redfield City central villa complex.

As the car drove in, Alexandra could see a middle-aged couple standing at the entrance, looking out.

Andrew Windsor and Susan Spencer stepped forward as the car approached.

When the car stopped, Andrew opened the door himself, and Susan immediately took Alexandra's hand.

Andrew and Susan's eyes were filled with tears as they looked at Alexandra with deep affection.

They were dressed in luxurious silk, exuding an extraordinary aura.

Alexandra instantly recognized them as her biological parents.

She opened her mouth but couldn't bring herself to speak.

Alexandra bit her lip, feeling a bit guilty.

Susan hugged her tightly, crying her heart out.

"Alexandra! You're finally back! We've been looking for you for so long."

"All these years, just thinking about you being lost made my heart ache! Thank goodness you're safe now!"

Andrew looked at them with relief. "Don't cry. It's enough that you're back, just enough."

Andrew and Susan each held one of Alexandra's hands tightly as they led her into the courtyard.

As soon as they entered, they saw two rows of maids, at least fifty of them, led by the butler, all bowing respectfully.

"Welcome home, Miss Alexandra Windsor!"

Alexandra had never seen such a scene before and was taken aback. From now on, she was no longer Alexandra Smith but Alexandra Windsor!

The Smith family was wealthy, but compared to the Windsor family, it was like night and day.

As they stepped into the courtyard, Alexandra noticed rare and exotic plants everywhere.

A stone sculpture in the yard didn't look modern.

The patterns and materials on it seemed ancient.

"Is this a Renaissance sculpture?"

"You recognize it?" Susan was pleasantly surprised.

Alexandra was stunned. This sculpture must be worth tens of millions of dollars.

The Windsor family was incredibly wealthy.

"What's wrong? Don't you like it?" Seeing Alexandra's reaction, Susan immediately ordered, "Take this sculpture away!"

Just as Alexandra was about to speak, she noticed various antiques from different eras.

Hanging on the walls were famous paintings.

Each piece was incredibly valuable.

As they walked through the corridor, they entered a small courtyard.

The courtyard was filled with rare medicinal herbs.

Alexandra immediately spotted the Olympian Elixir and rushed over. "Is this really the Olympian Elixir?"

"Yes."

Susan was startled by Alexandra's excitement. "I heard the Olympian Elixir is a life-saving medicine, extremely expensive. I managed to get some seeds and decided to try growing it myself. To my surprise, it actually grew!"

"But after all these years, it only produced this one fruit!"

The Olympian Elixir was priceless, no matter how high the price, it couldn't be bought.

One of the key ingredients in Alexandra's life-saving pills was the Olympian Elixir.

Back then, Declan had gone through great lengths to obtain it, making Alexandra's pills even more precious.

Later, even when she offered a high price, the Olympian Elixir was nowhere to be found on the market.

Until today, she found it in the Windsor family's courtyard.

Alexandra was utterly shocked.
