Chapter 5 Cremating Scumbags (5)

With the help of security, I had just opened the door when I heard this.

Natalie’s shirking responsibility is an actual class act. She’s so innocent! So you’re blaming me for everything?

Tom’s parents were surprisingly rare in seeing me and were a little vain.

However, instead of pursuing them for deceiving me, I shook Natalie right in the face.

She was knocked to the ground by me, and I rushed up to blame her.

"You have the nerve to blame me? You’re the one who gave me the crucial death certificate. You’re the one who declared him dead!"

"You bitch! You wouldn’t have cheated Tom out of his money and tried to get him killed and then run away, would you?"

With the mention of money, Tom’s parents couldn’t sit still any longer and were anxious.

They accidentally blurted it out.

"Yeah, It’s our money!"

"Before my son made his will, he had already transferred a third of his assets to your name. Give it back immediately!"

I froze and looked up then, pretending to be confused.

"What? Isn’t the company bankrupt? Didn’t they say the assets and liabilities would be given to me?"

"Tom, in the late stages of cancer and unwilling to seek treatment, didn’t leave the little money he had left to you. Why would he give it to Natalie?"

Tom’s parents were instantly silent, and Natalie didn’t say a word.

With teardrops on the ends of my eyes, I took a half step backward in disbelief.

"Could it be that after all these years of marriage, the person in his heart was never me?"

"And all of you have joined together to deceive me?"

In the face of my pale questioning, several people did not speak.

Sangria looks at me and wants to say something but closes her mouth, surprisingly guilty.

With a hurt look on my face, I crumpled and dropped to the floor.

The consultation room was tranquil, and the police suddenly burst in!

Several silhouettes rushed in and directly pressed down Natalie, backhanding her directly into handcuffs.

" Natalie, right? We received a report that you are suspected of fabricating cases, selling false medicines, issuing false certificates, etc., so we are arresting you!"

The people watching outside could no longer be stopped and took out their cell phones to film.

Tom’s parents were too weak to stop anyone when they saw the police.

With all eyes watching, Natalie was taken away with a pale face.

I slowly climbed to my feet and wiped away the few tears I held.

Natalie suddenly realized after seeing me and was so angry that she pointed at me and yelled.

" Sheila, it was you! You’re the one who reported it! You set me up!"

Smart guess. You got it right.

I’m the one who reported it.

I smiled silently as I watched Natalie being taken away.

Sangria, however, grabbed me with a skeptical look on her face.

"Did you already know something? Did you report Natalie?"

I look innocent and hurt.

"It’s none of my business; I love Tom so much that if I had known it, how could I have allowed Natalie to keep stirring up trouble?"

Sangria looked me up and down, then she tugged Aaron and whispered.

" Natalie is, after all, Tom ‘s first love, and she’s been taken away by the police, so what if something does happen to her?"

The two looked at each other, and their eyes surprisingly landed on me Simultaneously.

My hands in my sleeves clenched into fists, instantly guessing what they were thinking and resisting the urge to curse.

Do you want to push me out to take the blame? Dream on!

I pretended not to notice and to be soft to both of Tom’s parents.

"Aaron, Sangria, I need time to calm down."

They can’t say anything else when they see how sad I look.

The next day, after the police released the investigation results, I couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Overnight, all of Natalie’s work crap came out.

She would not take a responsibility of this magnitude alone.

She blamed everything on Tom’s parents and Tom, who had already been reduced to ashes!
