Chapter 3 The Jealous Grace

Grace is very sappy and talkative. Her dainty, beautiful voice almost mesmerizes men, and it's hard to imagine how sexy her purring must be.

"Nicholas, the dinner in your school cafeteria looks good, with well-balanced nutrition. Well, it tastes good, too."

"No wonder your school has three cafeterias, and you're coming to this one the farthest away."

Is this your favorite steak? This dish will likely make it to three Michelin stars.

"You, Hugh, and Thomas often eat here, right?"

Nicholas and the others were eating, and only Grace was eating while chattering away, saying things of little substance.

Sophie and Catherine had originally spied on Nicholas and Hugh, and it had been fun for them to admire the beautiful men while they ate and to listen to them talk secretly.

But Grace's chatter bored them.

"This bitch talks too much. Can someone go over there and shut her up?" Sophie swears again.

"Yeah, her words are more than yours." Catherine sarcasm Sophia.

Sophie tapped Catherine on the head with a spoon and laughed. The two had gotten used to making jokes about each other long ago.

Grace's tone was nice and gentle, and she tried to get to know Nicholas a little better through the chat, but Nicholas and Hugh didn't respond to her at all; they just kept their heads down and ate.

Grace was a little embarrassed because Nicholas had no intention of chatting.

Hugh was kind and gentlemanly. He gently pushed his delicate gold-rimmed glasses, ready to lighten the mood, "This restaurant does have an excellent chef, and although the location is a bit farther away than the other two, it's also less crowded. We still like to come here."

"So, thanks to you guys, I want to come here more often to enjoy the food in the future." Grace looked at Hugh gratefully and stopped chattering.

Grace liked Nicholas and had accompanied Nicholas to school this time to find out more about Nicholas.

Grace didn't say much more, but her eyes didn't stop, except now and then to watch Nicholas with an afterglow as he ate with an elegant posture and then looked around.

She knew that State University was well-known throughout the country. Not only did it have much talent in robotics and computer-related programs, but it also had a collection of beautiful female students. She wanted to see just what women would compete with him for Nicholas.

In Grace's mind, any beautiful woman approaching Nicholas could be her love interest.

Grace's eyes turned unfriendly when she saw three beautiful women near them.

Those three women are officially Sophie, Catherine, and Elsa.

Sophie and Catherine were pretty enough, but Elsa was even more beautiful.

Elsa had blue eyes, clear as Aegean waves, long eyelashes, a nose that was neither too high nor too low, a rounded nose, a small nose, full lips, and her features worked together harmoniously and charmingly.

Elsa's long, straight blonde hair fell over her soft shoulders, and her breasts were round, high, and nicely defined.

She also had a great body, and even as she sat in her seat, Grace could tell she was perfectly proportioned.

What made Grace even more uncomfortable was that Elsa moved gracefully, displaying a ladylike demeanor that even Grace was ashamed of.

Grace has a wealthy family and is pampered at home, so she has a bit of a princess's temper. She is confident in her appearance and has difficulty accepting that other women are better than herself.

Grace subconsciously looked over at Nicholas as if Nicholas was going to be drawn to the pretty girl at any moment.

His face is bland. Nicholas is eating, occasionally talking to Hugh about the previous investment company, and is focused on Grace. The three pretty girls were not far away.

Nicholas was focused, far more interested in his friends and robots than women, at least for now.

Feeling that she was overthinking things, Grace turned back to her meal. Perhaps influenced by Elsa, she had become graceful in her eating, wanting to outshine all the pretty girls she had seen in every way.

The phone rang. It was Elsa's cell phone ringing.

The call was from Elsa's coworker, the woman who went out of town to date her boyfriend.

Maybe she couldn't leave her boyfriend's arms, or it was another trouble. On the call, she said she would postpone her return for another week, asking Elsa to help her with the night shift for one more week.

Despite Elsa's reluctance, the female coworker was so earnest in her words that the kind Elsa finally agreed.

Elsa's good friend Sophie, who had excellent hearing, was furious when she heard Elsa say yes and say in a booming voice, "Elsa, what on earth were you thinking? Why did you say yes to her? And you will help her with the night shift for an extra week? She went to have a quickie with her boyfriend but left you to work the night shift. I don't know whether to praise you for being kind or call you stupid."

Of course, Elsa understood that Sophie was trying to defend her, but she didn't want Sophie to speak so loudly and lowered her voice: "Thank you, Sophie, but keep it down; it's just one more week of late shifts. I can handle it."

Sophie and Catherine didn't realize that from the moment Elsa picked up the phone, there hadn't been even the slightest sound from Nicholas' side.

Nicholas was watching every word Elsa said.

"She did do that after all, damn it! I'm going to make Elsa pay!"
