Chapter 2

Tina and Alex had just returned from work, and they had retired to their bedroom feeling exhausted from a long day at work, The silence in the room was intense as they caught their breath, Alex looking at Tina's exhausted face but the sparkles in her eyes was overwhelming, his smiles filled with desires, he gently removed the hairs on her face.

Babe, he said softly, Long day at work?

Tina smiled, her eyes sparkling, coming home to meet you is all I desire “My love” he said

Alex's lips curled and covered hers, saying I'm always here with you anytime, any day inside her mouth.

With his wide masculine hands, he gently traced her slim neck, descending on her neck with his tongue roaming around the jawlines.

As their lips met, Tina felt the hotness in his tongue as it was deeply irresistible. She softly placed her hands around his back, holding firm as she allowed him to explore other parts of her curves, which made her moan effortlessly, hereby sending shivers to her spine.

Tina's fatigue faded away as their kisses grew deeper, and

they were lost in their intimacy

I love you," Tina Alex said. Tina's voice was like a whisper. She responded, "I love you too, baby. “

Tina decided to take a bath, she settled in her warm cozy bathroom with a shower pouring down on her body, taking a deep breath her mind was clustered with emotions of her and Alex, she said I am indeed lucky,

As Alex went to the kitchen to get water, his phone rang, and he brought two bottles of water out from the fridge while checking to see his caller.

Suddenly Alex felt a sharp object forcefully penetrating his chest, and he fell immediately as his world darkened, As he couldn't shout enough, his voice was fading and dainty he called for Tina

With her heart racing, Tina. Heard the noise, and she rushed out of the bathroom in fear, in her racing thoughts and fear she went to the kitchen where the noise was coming from

The world crumbled when she discovered Alex's lifeless body in their kitchen.

The scene before her was so real. Alex lay on the floor, with a knife lodged in his chest.

Blood spread around his body, and his eyes were already closed; a picture of a horror movie just flashed her eyes, and she was in shock for a minute. She couldn't move.

Tina's scream was trapped in her throat. Her hands trembled as she approached Alex.

"Alex, no! Please don't leave me!" she cried, as hot tears streamed down her face; while kneeling close to him, checking for a pulse, she forcefully threw herself on Alex's body, sobbing uncontrollably.

Suddenly, a figure came out from the shadows.

Dr. Martin stood calmly, his eyes cold and warm at the same time.

"Tina, I'm so sorry," he said, his voice lacking emotions this time around

"You killed him?" Tina accused, her voice rising.

Dr. Martin's expression transformed from shock to anger.

"I saved you from a toxic relationship, Tina. Alex was manipulative and controlling." He said

Tina felt a cold shock running down her spine.

"How did you know we will be home ?" she asked; what have I done for you to turn me into a widow, she screamed at Dr Martin.

Dr. Martin's smile sent fear running down her spine.

"I've been watching you, Tina.

Tina's mind was everywhere. Dr. Martin's words echoed in her mind: "Trust your instincts."

But she had trusted the wrong person.

The police arrived, responding to Tina's emergency 911 call.

Detective James, a well-known police investigator, took charge of the scene.

"Tina, I need you to come with me," he said gently, noticing how big and beautiful the house was, and how weak she was.

Detective James wondered if this case was domestic violence, but no calls or complaints came from the address, he murmured "

At the police station, Tina's shock began to wear off, replaced by anger.

"Dr. Martin killed Alex," she told Detective James.

James' expression turned skeptical.

"We'll investigate, Tina. But we need evidence."

Tina realized she was in grave danger.

Dr. Martin had manipulated her, using her trust to commit murder.

And now, she was the prime suspect.

The interrogation room seemed to close in around Tina.

"Tell me what happened," Detective James pressed.

Tina recounted the events leading up to Alex's murder.

But her words sounded hollow, even to herself.

Had she unknowingly contributed to Alex's death?

The thought haunted her. In pain, she could still hear Alex's voice telling her he loved her some hours back.

As the night wore on, Tina's world darkened.

She was trapped in a nightmare, with no escape and alone.

And Dr. Martin, the monster who had destroyed her life, walked free.

Tina's days blurred together in a haze of grief and confusion, as she was the only suspect and was accused of murdering her husband, Alex.

Tina’s lawyer Steven couldn't gather enough evidence to defend her so they lost the case and was found guilty of murdering her husband, hereby the court had to sentence her to 20 years in prison life without parole

Detective James' words echoed in her mind: "We need evidence.” The police had found no lingering connections between Dr Martin and her, And she was dragged out of the courtroom crying with regrets.

Tina's memories of her sessions with Dr. Martin haunted her like flashes; she couldn't believe what had just happened to her perfect home.

She recalled his subtle suggestions, his manipulation.

Dr. Martin had played her, using her vulnerability.

But why? she murmured cluelessly

What did he gain from Alex's murder?

Tina was determined to uncover the truth, but it was like her life was almost over when she was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the j

udge,

Giving up was not an option, echoed in her mind as she was shackled with cuffs and pulled away to the grey walls of the prison.
