Chapter 3
★MARANO DUPLEX√√STEPHANIE BEDROOM★
Stephanie opened her eyes, she was still feeling sleepy and she was about closing her eyes again when her gaze met with the wall clock in her room.
It was already past 10 in the morning and the normal time of resuming in the company she was working was 7am.
"Shit, I can't believe I slept for so long"she said to herself as she jumped out of her bed, the quickly removed her clothes, making her way to her bathroom.
After having a brief shower, she walked out of the bathroom, arriving back into her room.
She quickly dried her hair and then got dressed. She couldn't make it to the company yesterday and skipping another day without going to the company will raise a chance of getting sacked and she can't afford to lose her cleaning job in the company, if she lose the job where will she get money to cater for all her needs.
Few minutes later, she finished dressing up and she made her way out of her bedroom, walking straight into the compound where she met Andrea, the gateman
"Open the gate for me, I'm getting late for work"she said
Andrea heatitated before replying"I'm sorry miss. I was ordered not to open the gate for you"
"Come on, Andrea. Open this gate for me, an already late for work, am not in mood for your jokes this morning"she said
"I'm not joking, miss. I was given the order not to allow you out of the house today"Andrea replied
"Who gave you the order"She asked
Just then, Antonio Marano and his wife Elisabeth Marano walked out of the duplex, staring at Stephanie and Andrea.
Andrea saw them and he swallowed hard immediately, he was unable to answer Stephanie questions.
Stephanie didn't know that her dad and stepmom was staring at them.
"I repeat, who gave you the order"Stephanie asked again, but then Antonio voice came.
"I gave the order"Antonio replied
Stephanie turned around and saw her dad with her stepmom standing beside him.
They were now staring at her, their eyes blazing with annoyance, hatred and malice. Her heart skipped a beat Immediately as she swallowed hard.
"Not this morning"she said to herself
"So tell me, what the hell are you going to do with the order"Elisabeth, Stephanie step mom replied
"Why would you stop me from going to work, am running late"Stephanie said, her voice trembling.
"How many times do you want me to repeat this, I said you've been used as a collateral and you have no freedom of your own"Antonio replied
"Dad, how could you be so heartless and....."Stephanie said but she was unable to complete her sentence when she got a hot slap on her face.
Antonio slapped her. It was his first time of slapping her. Stephanie eyes widened in shock, as hot tears steamed down her face.
"Dad…you…slapped…me"she stammered in tears.
"And I will slap you again and again, fool"Antonio said
A small smile spread across Elisabeth face, she was really enjoying the scene before her.
Just then, Antonio removed his phone from his pocket, he dialed a number and the person picked up instantly.
"You can come over now, the collateral is ready"Antonio said, ending the call before tucking his phone back to his pocket.
A horn sounded from the gate, Andrea stared at Antonio waiting for his instructions.
"Open the gate"Antonio said and Andrea obeyed.
A van drove into the compound and three giant men came out of the van immediately.
"Where is the collateral"they asked
Antonio pointed to Stephanie
"That's the collateral"he said and Stephanie's eyes widened in shock
The three giant men carried Stephanie and forcefully placed her inside the van.
"Dad, are you going to allow them to take me away"Stephanie screamed but Antonio stood still, his expression was emotionless as the three giant men placed Stephanie inside the van, closing the door instantly.
They also entered the van and the driver started the engine, expertly zooming out of the compound.
Stephanie cried the more as the driver sped down the highway,they were taking her to where she has no idea about.
She wanted to ask the giant men where they were taking her to but their faces scared her off.
Her heart began racing with different types of thoughts
"Where am I going to with them? Why did Dad hate me so much?"She asked herself
★OVERLORD ESTATE~~CHINA★
The plane landed just thirty minutes ago. Alessandro and Cristiano his personal assistant have been waiting for the driver that the overlord sent to the airport to pick them up.
After waiting for close to an hour, the driver arrived in the airport Alessandro and Cristiano slid into the backseat while the driver started the engine, expertly zooming off.
The driver finally pulled up in front of the grand mansion. Alessandro stepped out of the car, flanked by his personal assistant who was busy helping him to carry his suitcase.
Alessandro and Cristiano finally arrived inside the sitting room, that was empty. Just then, a maid walked up to them.
"Welcome sir. The overlord will soon join you. But first, have this"the maid said, serving Alessandro some wine.
"Thanks"Alessandro replied, as he sat on one of the couch in the sitting room while Cristiano stood beside him.
Just then, Wilder the overlord walked into the sitting room, flanked by two of his bodyguards.
Alessandro stood up from the couch he was sitting, bowing his head in acknowledgement.
Wilder was dressed into a well tailored suit and trouser, he was already in his late fifties. A small smile appeared on Wilder's face as he settled on a sofa opposite from Alessandro.
"Long live, Overlord"Alessandro said
"Hey, Alessandro. It's my first time of seeing you,I thought it was Gabriel that would be coming for the meeting as usual"Wilder replied
"No overlord. The Don changed his mind"Alessandro said
"Oh okay, you look younger than Gabriel is he your younger brother"Wilder replied
"Yes overlord"Alessandro said
"Oh okay, so back to the meeting, how may I help you"Wilder said
"Uhm, we want to send some of our products in Italy to China. In order to sell them here. We've sent a document to you for a month now, but you've not signed it"Alessandro replied
"Ohh, I'm sorry it is always skipping my mind"Wilder said
"Please can you help us to sign the documents today, that's why I am here"Alessandro replied
"Sure I will"Wilder said as he signaled to one of his guards who rushed into his office to bring the documents.
