Chapter 2

By the end of the first month, Darla came though on her promise and got me a bank account. We were sitting in her office.

“So, Sky you’ve got your bank details right”? she said

“Yes, Thank you so much”.

“It’s nothing sweetie”, she said handing me a manilla envelope and a check.

“What’s this”?

“This is your first Paycheck and your tips”, she said smiling

“Thank you”.

She waved her hand. “Don’t thank me. You’re doing your job. I’m heading to the bank to run some errands; do you want to go with me”? she asked

“Yes, please if it’s not too much trouble for you”

“It isn’t. I need to speak with the rest of the staff. Why don’t you tally up your tips, so you’ll know how much to deposit. I’ll be back in a few then we can leave”, she said standing up.

“Okay, thank you”.

I was so happy and scared at the same time. When we left the bank the other day I had a smile on my face. In one month, I made twenty-nine thousand in tips. It was mostly from the idiot in the private room, but it was my job. That was more than I’ve ever made in all my jobs combined. As time went on, I learned to ignore some of the diners and the servers who were rude.

I woke up on Friday morning to someone knocking on our room door. I looked at Ivy who sat up from her bed looking disheveled. I got up and opened the door. A delivery guy was standing there.

“Umm I’m looking for Skylar Raines”? he said looking past me.

“I’m Skylar Raines”.

“Okay, here you go please sign this”. He said pushing the clipboard towards me. I took the pen and signed my name. He handed me the box and walked away. I closed the door and looked at Ivy.

“Who’s it from”? she asked, getting out of her bed.

“No clue”, I began checking the box for a name or anything but there was nothing. I opened the box and stood looking at it. She came over and stood beside me and looked at it.

“Oh shit. That’s the latest Samsung phone. I’ve been saving up for one. Who sent it”? she asked

“No clue. I really don’t know”.

“Maybe you have an admirer”, she said Jokingly but I heard the slight bite to her tone.

“You can have it”, I said pushing it into her hands. Just then the phone began ringing and we looked at each other. I nodded at her to answer. She answered and put it on speaker.

“Hello”? she said hesitantly, but no one answered

“Hello”? she said again, still no answer and the person didn’t end the call either.

“Hey asshole, why don’t you answer? Are you the one that sent the phone to Sky”? she said, but they still didn’t answer. She took the phone off speaker and handed it to me a bit roughly and walked out of the room. I put the phone to my ears.

“Hello”? I answered cautiously.

“If anyone but you ever answer this phone, I will punish you darling”, he said

“Umm who are you and why did you send me this phone”?

“Asher and as to why because I need to be able to contact you at all times. I will speak to you soon little bunny”, he said ending the call. I was left looking at the phone. The door opened and Ivy Walked in.

“Who was it”? she asked

“I have no idea”, I wasn’t about to say anything about this to her. I could already sense she was annoyed that I received the phone.

I powered off the phone and replaced it in the box. I didn’t need or want this. All the while Ivy kept looking at me. I hurriedly showered and headed to Class. When we got to work that evening, Ivy kept her distance from me. When I clocked out and went looking for her, I couldn’t find her.

I was standing by the door waiting for her, when Maya and Daphne walked past me Giggling. Those two were a pain in the ass, always making some snarky ass comments at me. I’ve learned to ignore them.

“Sky you’re still here”? I turned around and saw Miles, one of the Servers. He was Tall with blond hair and slightly skinny. His black eyes always had a hit of mischief in them. Miles was gay but no one says it out loud because the women loved him, and he made good money.

“Oh hey, yea I’m actually looking for Ivy”.

“Sweetie. Ivy’s shift ended half an hour ago and she left with Archie”, he said looking concerned.

“Oh okay. Thanks, I’ll head out. Night Miles”,

“Wait. You’re going to walk back to the campus. It’s a twenty five minutes trek back. I’ll drop you off”, he said grabbing his bag.

“It’s okay Miles. I walk here every day”,

“Didn’t Ivy say anything to you before she left”? he asked

"No. she probably forgot”, I said good night to him and walked out. On the walk home I understood Why Ivy did it. Since this morning with the whole phone situation, she began behaving weird. I kept walking when I turned the corner, a car was parked on the side of the road, the hazard lights were on, and a man was fixing the tires.

Yea I may be nineteen years old, but I’ve had a hard life, and I knew when to trust my instincts and something wasn’t right about this situation. Of all the places he was fixing his car was there. I didn’t bother turning around, I walked backwards. It wasn’t until he looked up from what he was doing that I turned around and ran my ass all the way back to the club.

The minute I ran through the gates a car stopped. I shielded my eyes.

“Sky is everything okay”?

I dropped my hands and looked at the driver, Miles. I let out a breath of relief.

“Oh god. Miles I’m really sorry but could you give me a ride back to campus”?, I asked hopefully.

“Come on in baby girl, I got you”, he said with a smirk. I got into the passenger side, and he drove out, when we passed the corner, the car was gone, and I knew I was right to run. When he pulled up the campus gates. I thanked him.

“Go on sweet cheeks I’ll watch you to make sure you get in safely”, he said.

“Thank you, Miles,”, I said hoping out. I didn’t want to tell him as yet; I needed to know if I could trust him. I got out of the car and said goodbye to him and headed in. I said good night to the security guard and headed in.

As I turned the corner towards the dorms a hand grabbed me, and something came up covering my nose and I knew exactly what was happening. I tried to fight but couldn’t.

When I came to and opened my eyes, I couldn’t see anything, that’s when the panic started setting in. I realized I was blindfolded, I tried to remove the blindfold, and I couldn’t move my hands. My hands were tied behind my back. I heard movement.

“Who... Who’s there? Why are you doing this to me”?

I felt someone behind me. I tried turning around but couldn’t.

“I guess you’re smarter than you look. You ran when you saw the car”, he said with an amused tone.

“Did you think Turning the phone off and leaving it at the dorm was a good idea”? he asked. It was the same person, the same voice. He sent the phone.

“Pl... Plea…please”, I whispered

I felt his hands on my body, and I froze.

“Don’t worry little bunny I won’t hurt you, All I want is you but if you disobey me, I will punish you”, he said, his voice dark .

“What do you want from me”?

I felt his hands on my throat, suddenly I felt my hair being grabbed forcefully and my face tilted upwards. He bit my neck marking me. I gasped out loud. His fingers on my lips, gently caressing me.

“Are you insane”? I all but yelled and he grabbed my throat tighter.

“No Yelling, no screaming. I don’t like repeating myself Skylar so listen carefully. YOU ARE MINE. Do not ignore me; I will take care of you. If you have a problem you come to me and YOU DO NOT ALLOW ANY OTHER MEN TO TOUCH YOU”, he said as he gripped my neck tighter.

Jesus Christ. He was insane. This must be a joke, a prank, so some shit.

“No little bunny this isn’t a joke. I mean it, Skylar, don’t test my boundaries. You belong to me. Pain and pleasure is all I want to give you”, he said with a seductive whisper, each word carefully chosen and laden with meaning.

I felt his breath on my neck, this insane man literally licked my neck marking me again. I felt it before it happened, his lips were on mine, but I refused to kiss him. He bit my lip.
