Chapter 6

Cassius POV

“Do you think she can survive, my mistress?” I asked before realization dawned on me.

“Alpha, I didn't know something was captivating enough to get you curious. Am glad it makes you feel better and stress-free”

“Since you asked me Alpha, I think the one that was being held by the other prey will win because the other prey seems to be protecting her so that she'll make sure not to let anything happen to her.”

“Really?” I muttered surprised by my mistress' response. I could see the familiar slave truly holding the other slave with her right hand and the other one holding her tummy which could only mean something…

It means she cherishes them dearly.

“What do you think Alpha? The question is back to you,”

“Let's leave everything to fate!” I said, puffing out the tobacco smoke in the air.

Seeing her struggling, trying to prevent the lion from coming close to the slave beside her, I couldn't help but shake my head.

I know she'll end up losing trying to save another head instead of saving herself alone.

“What a native prey!” I said, laughing hysterically; I was surprised to see someone this native. Even if they're sisters, I still don't see the reason why she must struggle to save the other leaving herself.

“She's indeed native, Alpha.” Said Elyria.

“But Alpha, don't you think she's more skilled than any random slave?” Elyria said as she found the slave suspicious which made me think about it.

Even her aura while she was struggling to kill the lion was different from the others.

Except she has exceptional skills, she wouldn't have been able to kill the lion with those strong features she had on. She was skillfully avoiding the arrows to the extent that she was able to help the other prey that she had been holding dearly to avoid the arrows.

Other slaves looked timid and scared but she was different. There's something different in those gazes of hers.

Shortly, Beta Idris walked towards me with a bow. I knew he had a message to relay to me, he walked closer and whispered it into my ears.

“Are you sure about that?” I asked in confirmation of what he said.

“Yes, Alpha. It has been confirmed by our men on the field,” he said

“Interesting,” I muttered as I wasn't expecting the weakling who was almost raped to be this powerful to the extent of killing a lion by herself.

“What an interesting prey!”

“Is there any other thing, Beta Idris?” I asked the man when I noticed he stood still without saying any other thing.

“Yes, Alpha.”

“Your brothers are targeting her. They feel like she could be a spy sent to spy on our clan,” he said.

“The real game is about to start.” I thought as I couldn't wait to see how long she could hold up trying to save another person's head instead of hers alone.

“Pass me the telescope, My mistress.”

I held the telescope towards the direction of my brothers, I could see them grinning from ear to ear. They seemed to haven't had a conversation as their attention was also focused on the field. I followed their gaze and just like I expected.

Their attention was on her.

ASHINA’S POV

I was already reaching my limit; my strength was already declining, and I could feel my energy draining every second. I don't care if it is because of my pregnancy that makes my energy and power draining or because I haven't eaten well for the past few days.

Those Alphas plan to kill us all but I still don't believe they'll kill everyone. I looked in their direction again; those monsters were grinning ear to ear toward infection.

They must have found our situation fun to the extent that they use human beings to stress-free themselves. Funny right? How does a human being feel killing a being like themselves to relieve their stress?

I clenched my fist underneath, my anger boiling over me as I stared at them with burning sensations. I looked towards the other side and saw a familiar man seated with a lady standing behind him.

He seemed familiar but I couldn't remember where I had seen him or knew him from. But the question is what is he doing there?

“Susan, how many Alphas are in this clan?” I asked her as she seems to know a lot about this clan in particular despite not knowing the reason or how she got to know it.

“There are three Alphas brothers and the Lycan king who is their father,” She stuttered with her shaking voice. I know she was already scared of the beam which made her voice shaky.

Seeing how sweat was dripping off her forehead to her clothes, I knew she was already at her limit. Luckily, I was able to hold back since I was trained by Ethan.

I could remember when he suggested teaching me how to use my power and some martial arts. I boldly declined the suggestion because I believed I would never need it as I would always be staying in the pack and be protected by him.

“You should learn it because I might not be with you always.” Those were the words the man said to me. And it rings in my ears

at this moment. Because he truly wasn't with me anymore.

“Oh,” I muttered and immediately remembered where I saw the man. I don't know if I am using the right word as he was the one who saved me earlier. Though he seemed he did save me from being raped, he sent me to this hell.

So yeah, I don't know the right word to term it.

I was so lost in thought that I didn't realize an arrow was shot in my direction until it pierced her palm. It struck straight into her right palm.

“What just happened?” I whimpered trying to make sense of what had just happened upon seeing Susan in pain as she fell on her knees in agony.

She was fine some minutes ago but now she is screaming out in pain. The sight in front of me was really painful and unbearable for me.

I could have been dead; the arrow could have pierced straight into my forehead.

“Oh no!”
