A Decision out of excitement

Louisa’s POV

The sun was setting by the time I finished my last exam. Stepping outside, I felt a rush of relief, only one more year left of university. I couldn’t afford to fail, though. My scholarship was the only way I could pay for school, so I worked hard to keep my grades high. Becky, my best friend, had started university with a scholarship too, but after failing a few classes, she lost it. Her boyfriend, Mason, had been paying for her tuition ever since. I admired him for that. He loved Becky so much, always supporting her and being there for her. They’d been together since their second year, and even his parents loved her, sometimes more than they did him. Whenever they argued, his parents always sided with Becky. Watching them made me wonder if I’d ever find someone like Mason, kind, reliable, and, honestly, very attractive.

“Louisa!” Becky called out, walking toward me with Mason.

“Let’s celebrate tonight! Cocktails at eight. You’re not allowed to say no!” she said with a grin. Before I could reply, she turned and walked off with Mason.

I smiled to myself, shaking my head. That was Becky, always full of energy. I took a taxi to the cleaning center where I worked part-time and did my three-hour shift. By the time I got home, I was tired, but I couldn’t let Becky down. After a quick shower, I put on some light makeup and slipped into the dress and heels she had insisted I wear.

At 7:45 p.m., I got a text from her.

“Are you ready, girl?”

I laughed and replied, “Five minutes.”

When I reached Mason’s car, they both stared at me.

“Where have you been hiding that butt?” Mason teased with a smirk.

I laughed. To me, Mason was like a brother. He was five years older than us, working part-time at his dad’s company while still taking classes. Both he and Becky were always protective of me, though they loved to tease me too.

“I think you’re finally getting wet tonight,” Becky joked, winking at me.

“Shut up,” I said, laughing but feeling a little flustered. The truth was, I’d never even kissed a guy before, let alone anything more.

Mason drove us to a fancy nightclub. He’d reserved a VIP section just for us, and Becky wasted no time ordering drinks. Everything she picked was sweet and fruity, so I couldn’t even taste the alcohol.

“Come on, Louisa! Let’s dance!” Becky shouted, grabbing my hand and pulling me toward the dance floor.

We made our way to the floor. I could feel people’s eyes on me as I danced. Curious, I glanced around the dance hall and then I noticed Becky and Mason kissing. That irritated me even more. The dance floor felt like it was meant only for couples. Feeling tense, I headed back to the bar and quickly finished my drink.

The bartender caught my attention as I placed the empty glass on the counter. The drink had been refreshing, but I wanted something stronger.

“I need something powerful,” I muttered.

“I’ll give you a tequila shot,” the bartender offered.

“Sure, bring it on,” I shouted as if the music was holding back my voice.

He handed me the shot with a lemon wedge. “How do I take this?” I asked and smiled.

“Just gulp it down,” he replied.

The tequila burned as it went down my throat. “One more,” I said, sliding the empty glass back to him. He poured me another, and I drank it just as quickly.

I scanned the room. The alcohol was hitting me, and I felt bold. I wanted to twerk. Twerking had always been my thing, and now I had the courage to let loose. I went back to the dance floor, not caring if it was full of couples. I started moving my hips and shaking my butt. The eyes on me only made me twerk harder. Was this what sexual desire felt like? I laughed at the thought.

As I swayed, I suddenly felt a body press against mine. I turned, ready to tell whoever it was to back off, but then his hand grabbed my ass, and instead of pushing him away, I wanted him to grab the other side too. The sensation sent a strange pulse through me, making my body react in ways I didn’t understand. No one had ever touched me like that before.

Our bodies moved together to the music. He took my hand, and the small gesture sent shivers down my spine. Then he spun me around, pulling me close so my back pressed against his chest. He guided me, and I followed, my hips swaying to the rhythm as I gently moved against him. A voice in my head questioned what I was doing, but I ignored it.

He spun me around again, this time letting me face him. The moment our eyes met, my heart pounded. He was tall, with messy blond hair and piercing ocean-blue eyes. I was completely captivated. His gaze was intense, as if he could see straight through me.

He was stunning. My eyes wandered over his broad shoulders and muscular frame. His build was perfect, complemented by a tattoo on his shoulder. I couldn’t make out the details, but it fascinated me. Judging by his mature aura, I guessed he was at least 7 or 9 years older than me. I couldn’t look away. This man had me spellbound. I didn’t mind at all. Then he spoke.

“Mind getting some more drinks, hot baby girl?”

I was still lost, caught up in checking him out, and didn’t realize he was talking to me until he cleared his throat.

“Huh?” I finally responded.

He smirked. “Come on, let’s go have some drinks.”

“Uh, sure. Certainly,” I said, trying to play it cool. Then, out of nowhere, I heard Becky shout something embarrassing. “You have to get laid tonight and lose your virginity!”

I could tell she was drunk. I turned to him, mortified. “I’m so sorry about my friend. Please just ignore her.”

He chuckled. “It’s okay. So, drinks? Or…” He leaned in slightly. “Should we get out of here?”
