Chapter Two

"I wouldn't wake Buhle. No matter what. So do tell me what would make me to possibly yell though." His fingers were wrapped into each other so tightly as his hands turned onto fists. His teeth were gritted as he prepared himself for the news the best way he knew how.

"Okay. Here it goes. So um… " Portia rubbed her hands together. "Since I met you I was and still am seeing someone else."

Nama bit his bottom lip and he nodded forcing himself not to do anything that would cause a noise for Buhle. "Go on" he told Portia in a whisper like voice.

Portia gulped down a little as she marched a bit on the kitchen floor. "I love her. She um... is that person that I have always loved. And she has asked me to marry her Nama. So I guess this was meant to happen like this because how could I find the right words to end this without hurting you anyway?"

"You love her." Nama repeated, "I thought you loved me. But now you're talking about a woman that you say you've always loved. Meaning what? What have I been to you all this while? A plaything? Toy? Something without emotions?"

"Hey, hey" Portia raised both her hands. "Remember don't yell okay? Just be cool. I mean we both knew this wouldn't be serious right? I wouldn't be with you forever even if I didn't have someone else. This was just a fling. Something to pass the time. Nothing more than just that."

"Wow. Really?" Nama looked away from her. "My heart wasn't told that. I wasn't told that."

"Now you're aware. Tell your heart and live your life Nama. You're a good person. Somebody's daughter will love you. But that can't be me. "

Nama closed his eyes. "Well alright then. It's over. Just like that." He opened his eyes and started walking out of the kitchen instead of getting out of the house he went to Buhle's room where he found a snoring, tossing and turning around but fast asleep Buhle.

Nama stood in the door frame thinking about what had just happened. He had just found out that he was being cheated on and lied to from the first moment she met Buhle's sister.

Buhle had been so quick to ask him to not be the one to cheat on his sister but did he know about his sister's betrayal? Or was he also none the wiser when it came to his sister? Nama needed to know. But he wouldn't wake the warrior up.

Nama was angry and hurt but he wouldn't forget that Buhle had a very important job and responsibility when it came to protecting the kingdom. He and so many in the village were so proud and grateful for him.

"I will wait" Nama said to himself as he walked into the room that didn't even have a door for privacy. He had asked Buhle about it once and the warrior's thin smiles came out in full that day as he said he had to sacrifice it for his little sisters who needed the privacy more than he did.

If the stories told by the village gossips were true Buhle had been the one to build the four roomed home. In a day.

Nama didn't think that story false. He'd seen what Buhle could do with his strength so he wouldn't be surprised if he could even build homes at seventeen years old when he and his sisters first arrived at the village.

Nama neared the sleeping lion. He went to the empty side of the bed flopped down on the bed next to Buhle. He couldn't wake him up but that didn't mean he wouldn't wait for him until he woke up.

Just as he was about to close his eyes Portia's voice came to his ear.

Portia was standing in front of the doorway. "What the hell are you doing here? I thought you left." She yelled in a whisper while Nama just made himself comfortable on the bed ignoring her.

"Nama" she tried to to yell but quickly stopped herself from it. Huffing she pointed at him instead. "If my brother wakes up because of you I'll deal with you." She turned on her heel walking softly out of the room.

Once she was completely gone Nama turned to his side looking at Buhle's sleeping form. "I consider you a friend so I hope for your sake and mine that you didn't know about this."

Buhlebendalo woke up with a start. His heart was racing in his chest making him wary. He had his hands on his face when he sat up only to feel his knee get in contact with another's body. Buhle's hands went down and he wasn't surprised as he should have been to see his sister's boyfriend next to him in bed. It happened more than he would have liked.

"Ugh. What did he do now?" He groaned as he shook Namaka's sleeping body. "Wake up foolish person. Wake up."

Nama yawned softly as he opened his eyes. "Finally you're awake" he told Buhle who just looked bored into his eyes.

"Come on tell me what did you do today?"

"Actually it's not me in the wrong this time." Nama sat up as well. "Your sister is the one that has betrayed me."

Buhle rolled his eyes. "What are you guys fighting about now?"

"We're not fighting. We've broken up."

Buhle chuckled. "Over what this time?"

"She cheated."

Buhle's friendliness got out of the door that moment. His whole demeanor changed from the unbothered man he just was a minute ago to a whole new person. "Jokes are supposed to be funny. Unfortunately for you this one isn't."

Nama gave him a stare down. "I wouldn't joke with something like this. She told me herself. In fact I can't even call it cheating if she already had a lover when we met. And now she's engaged."

Buhle didn't believe one word coming out of his mouth. "Shut up. Get out of my room."

"No. Not until you tell me if you knew or not. "

Buhle's eyes started to question Nama's. "Are you serious right now?"

"Do I really look like a person whose cracking up jokes now? Buhle I need to know if I've been trusting you for no reason."

"No." Buhle shook his head. "Portia couldn't have. You must have misunderstood. Or better yet it was a joke."

"No joke looks me in the eye and tells me the truth like I was expecting it to end the way it is now like your sister just didn't right today."

"I don't believe you. " Buhle got up from bed.

"Fine. You don't have to just mother fucking tell me you weren't part of anything! Just tell me that."

Buhle rested his hand on his hip. Shocked about what he had just heard about his sister. "She would never" he denied it. "I will ask her myself. How could you believe such a thing? Obviously you made her angry so she did what she did. Said something in the heat of the moment. You know how she is."
