Chapter 1 Looking for Love 1
At the noon hour of the day, a week after their arrival at the university, with his duties over for the moment, he was sitting in. the cafeteria, enjoying some of the excellent food that they had discovered on the campus, while he ate someone greeting him from across the room.
"Well," said the man who came toward him, "how is your study at the art departure? I see that you have been working very hard." He stopped beside a chair and sat down opposite Woody Walker.
"That's right," replied the young man, whose name was Ter Ker Lee, "and we're having a lot of fun too. There are so many beautiful things here—so much variety. It makes studying interesting in itself."
"wow! That sounds wonderful," Ter Ker Lee exclaimed. "I wish that I could go into art. I'm good at math and science—but I'd rather do something creative than use them all the time—"
"But you can always do what you like best, can you?" observed Walker. "Even if it's your hobby or favorite subject, there are other things that must be done, and sometimes you just have to get along with them."
Ter ker Lee looked at him thoughtfully. "Yes," he agreed; "where is your girlfriend?"
"No, I don't have any," Walker answered frankly. "I've never found anyone I wanted to marry yet. But I don't mind being alone, most of the time."
"Why, no!" Ter ker Lee protested. "You look quite the young man. You are handsome and strong, and you're certainly not old enough to be one of our fathers. How old are you?"
Walker laughed. "Old enough,"
"look at your classmate, Michelle Vinyl, she's very hot," Ter ker Lee added. "And she has a nice figure too."
Walker watched Michelle Vinyl, as Ter ker Lee spoke, and he couldn't help admiring her beauty. She had long black hair, a dazzling smile, and a captivating body. She stood near the table, talking to two people whom Walker knew well. She had dressed in form-fitting garments, showing off every curve. Her legs were smooth and shapely and perfectly suited to the tight denim shorts and a halter top that clung to her breasts.
"look at that, Yuina Nijima." Ter ker Lee continued, "She is so tall and slender, but she has such broad shoulders. And her face looks so wise and dignified—but she's a nerd when it comes to computers. I bet she's a genius in the field—"
Michelle noticed that Walker was looking at her, and she smiled at him. Ter Ker Lee didn't notice. "She's very beautiful," he observed. "And I think that she's very nice. I wonder why she's not dating someone?"
"Maybe she doesn't want to," Walker suggested. "There's plenty of time for that later. We'll find out who she dates next year. By then, maybe she'll have met the right person."
Ter ker Lee nodded. "I hope so," he murmured. "tell me who is the one who want to be your girlfriend?"
"None of them," Walker told him bluntly.
"Who is the one you love?"
"I don't know," Walker admitted. "don't tell anyone? ok?"
Ter ker Lee laughed. "I wouldn't dare." He glanced around to make sure that everyone else was busy eating lunch and not listening to them, and then he leaned forward.
"I choose Vichuda and Madonna."
"what? don't tell me, Vichda Aniston and Madonna Kristensen?" Ter ker lee "you're crazy! They are the most beautiful girls in the whole university. They're the daughters of the richest family, and they're both gorgeous. I've never seen anyone more beautiful than them—and neither have you."
Walker smirked, stirring his drink absentmindedly. "I know it sounds crazy, but there's something about them. It's not just their looks. They have this... aura. Like they're untouchable. But I want to get closer."
Ter Ker Lee shook his head, laughing. "Man, you must be dreaming. Even if you had a chance, do you really think they'd look at an ordinary guy like you? They have suitors lining up from all over the world!"
Walker leaned back, his eyes drifting back to Michelle Vinyl. "Maybe. But I've never been one to back down from a challenge. Besides, I don't think it's about status or wealth. It's about who dares to take the first step."
Just then, the cafeteria door swung open, and a hush fell over the room. Vichuda Aniston and Madonna Kristensen walked in, their presence commanding attention. Vichuda, dressed in a sleek white dress that hugged her elegant figure, exuded confidence. Her dark brown eyes scanned the cafeteria as if assessing everything in an instant. Madonna, in contrast, wore a stylish yet casual outfit—ripped jeans and an off-shoulder top—giving off an air of effortless beauty. Her wavy blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her piercing blue eyes sparkled with mischief.
"Speak of the devils..." Ter Ker Lee muttered under his breath.
Walker watched as the two girls made their way to a corner table, their every movement precise and graceful. They didn't need to speak loudly to command attention; their presence alone was enough.
"You still think you have a chance?" Ter Ker Lee teased.
Walker grinned. "There's only one way to find out."
Before Ter Ker Lee could stop him, Walker stood up and walked straight toward their table. A few heads turned as he approached, whispers filling the air. Vichuda noticed him first, raising an elegant eyebrow as he stopped in front of them.
"Can we help you?" she asked, her tone polite but distant.
Walker flashed his signature confident smile. "Actually, I was wondering if you'd be interested in a little challenge."
"A challenge?" Madonna mused, staring at him curiously. "What kind of challenge?"
"I love you both!!!" Walker said dramatically, startling everyone in the cafeteria.
Vichuda and Madonna looked at each other, sharing a knowing glance. Then, they burst into laughter.
"Oh my God, Walker," Vichuda gasped, holding her stomach. "That's the worst pick-up line I've ever heard."
"It's not a pick-up line," Walker protested, cheeks flushing red. "I'm serious!"
"I know," Madonna laughed. "You're always serious." She tilted her chin upward, gazing at Walker through long lashes. "Do you even realize how cheesy that sounded?"
"Cute," Vichuda agreed. "But it doesn't matter if you're serious or not."
"I will be back," Walker said and ran away.
Madonna and Vichuda watched him leave, their expressions unreadable. They sat silently for a moment, still chuckling, all of the people in the cafeteria turning to stare. Some were whispering; some were snapping pictures on their phones.
"What did he say?" someone whispered.
"Did he really say that?" another voice asked.
"Is it true?"
Michelle shocked her class mate and asked, "He really said that?"
Ter ker Lee nodded. While Yuina doesn't say anything.
"Are you serious?" Michelle asked, looking at Ter Ker Lee.
"I don't know. I guess so."
after Woody Walker flees from the cafeteria. He feels ashamed and goes to the mini market to hide for a while.
"why I did do such a thing?" he thought.
He doesn't know why he said those things to them. It was just the impulse coming from his heart and mind.
"Maybe I should apologize to them." he thought. "but how?"
he crosses the street but he notices a cat across the street. It was a kitten. A kitten jumps to the street at the same time as the car hits the cat.
Walker jumped to catch the kitten before the car hit it, but the impact was too much. The car hit him
the driver stop the car and and everyone see what happen. Walker is lying on the floor.
