Chapter 7 : SHE'S A VIRGIN.

ENZO'S POV

I was rendered speechless as I turned to leave Diana, but not before securing the door to her room. The soft click of the lock was the only sound that broke the silence. I then withdrew to my own room, closing the door behind me with a sense of finality."

She is still a virgin? No, I shouldn't put it that way… has she been keeping her virginity for me?

My brows ached as I pushed my silk hair with my palm to the back, this changed everything, there was no way I could give Diana to Carlos Lombardi. A sense of possessiveness gushed over me as I reached out for my pack of cigarettes lying idle on the table.

Shuffling my back pocket for a lighter, I fixed the tip of a cigar in my lips and lighted the other end. After making some puffing, I threw the lighter away and inhaled excess smoke before puffing it out for release.

I was confused, memories of our lips locking in the afternoon flashed back to me, I couldn't get the lingering feeling out of my head.

Heaving a sigh of frustration, I puffed out another smoke and glanced at the shimmering moon in the sky. A knock on my door distracted me and slowly,it opened to reveal Francesca Lombardi.

“What do you want?” I voiced out, slightly pissed at her presence.

“Is that how you greet your fiancee?” She questioned as she walked closer to me. I noticed how light and obvious her clothes were but I chose to ignore them.

Francesca ran her hands across my chest and came to my back. I could feel her warm face pressing against my back as she continued touching my chest.

“I have missed you.” She mumbled and I caught her hands before it went down further.

“Not now girl, there's a lot going on.” I mumbled before shoving her hands away.

I heard her groan in disappointment as she came forward, she pouted her lips and folded her hands against her chest.

“This isn't the first time you're rejecting me, we would soon be married and have a big Territory to rule and protect, I would be your woman forever, even though it was arranged between our family, we have grown fond of each other.” She spoke and I sighed.

“That's not the point…

“We had our first victory together against  D'Angelo's, the most powerful family was crushed, why don't we celebrate.” She paused talking as she rushed to my bar and brought alcohol.

“What do you say Don? Shouldn't we celebrate?” A smirk on her lips as she raised the bottle to my face.

Taking the bottle from her, I opened it and chugged some to my stomach, my throat burned but it was worth it, I gave it to her and she did the same. After that, she dropped it on the table and gave me a seductive smile before biting her lips.

That was it, I couldn't hold myself, I needed to get rid of my thoughts of Diana at all cost. Without wasting time, I grabbed her waist and crashed my lips on hers.

“He's here.” I heard Franco speak and I lightened my cigarettes.  Carlos Lombardi walked to my office, gazing left and right in somewhat admiration.

“Nice furniture You've got here huh? Don.” Carlos spoke before sitting across from  me.

“Care for a smoke?” I asked, ignoring his earlier proclamation.

“No, a drink will do.” I heard him say and Franco poured us two glasses from the bottle.

“You can leave.” I motioned for Franco and bowed before leaving.

“So, what do you want?” I asked, obviously knowing why he came.

“For my reward of course, I know you have her already.” Carlos Lombardi spoke.

“She's strong-willed and very stubborn.”

“I would tame her.”

“She almost escaped, I can't guarantee she won't be under your care.” I flickered.

“Why would she escape? I have top notch men surrounding my house, she dares not escape.” He countered.

“I have more men than you, I caught her at the gate, she overpowered your sister and what makes you think she won't do that to you?” I questioned.

“I don't like where this is going, Don, it's your right to keep your part of the deal, I help you bring down D’Angelo, you give me the girl, that was it right?” Carlos spoke, I could feel his anger coming up but I didn't care.

“I would give her to you once I tame her.” I spoke calmly to him before puffing more smoke to the air.

“That wasn't part of the deal and you know it, she's supposed to be my prisoner, my investment!”

“I never said she wasn't, why are you getting angry? What if I don't give her to you?”

“You already have my sister, what do you need her for?” Carlos asked as he frowned at me.

I chuckled softly before standing up and walking to the window, my finger slowly tapped my cigarettes as I tried to focus my gaze on something. At this point, I already came to a conclusion, Diana was never going to be Carlo's, she was mine alone.

“I need her to capture her brother don't you think?” The idea suddenly crossed my mind and I glanced at him.

“I thought you didn't want him now, why the change of mind?” I could feel suspicions arising in his voice.

“Why? Do you have a problem with it?” I asked.

“I don't care whatever you want to do Enzo, I need Diana D’Angelo and you have to give her to me.” Carlos sounded threatening and I walked to him with anger.

“Don't you dare threaten me Carlos, I know what you want to do with her, I know how you have been trafficking young girls to your brothel, don't let me spill too much.” I threatened and I could sense his countenance go down.

“This isn't over, I will get her even if I have to fight you.” Carlos spoke before leaving my office.
