4-Every Creature Wants My Virginity

Yuna:

“Wait a minute.” Thankfully, before James could come and put his hands on me, the brat spoke up.

He got off the table and sighed. “Next time—when I come—you better behave, or else say goodbye to your livelihood.” He hunched down to my level, his hands on his knees, his striking gray eyes staring into mine.

His black hair naturally framed his face and forehead. His thick, bushy eyebrows made the gray in his eyes stand out even more. He was so tall—probably 6 feet 7—that a girl like me, at 5 feet 5, looked tiny in front of him.

“I will be careful,” I said, looking down to show him respect.

“Dude, I want to see her naked,” James complained from behind him, but Kedron kept staring at my face, almost like he was asking for eye contact.

“She’s not eighteen, James. We will come back when she is ready to be served,” he whispered, tilting his head and faking a pout.

I was scared and struggling to breathe.

“Well, I’ll leave then.” Kedron stepped back from me but then looked around at the clean floors.

This was why it took me so long to close the tavern. I had been cleaning and doing all the chores before leaving.

However, Kedron wasn’t a hero. He walked over to the homemade wine bottles, and the minute he put his hands on them, I knew he meant trouble.

He started throwing them onto the floor one by one, making his friend laugh like destroying someone’s hard work was the funniest joke in the world.

I was in tears as I watched him ruin months of my mother’s hard work just for fun.

“Oops! I’m so clumsy! I guess I spilled some wine over there,” Kedron said, biting his tongue and faking another pout while rubbing his chest.

“I guess I won’t be becoming an Alpha King after all,” he teased sarcastically, reminding me of my comment and letting me know, in his own way, that he hadn’t forgotten what I said.

“Anyways, goodnight!”

Pleased with himself, Kedron ran off to find a better way to spend his night with his bastard friend, who trailed after him, giving me a nasty gesture and then mouthing the words, “My dick will be in your mouth the minute you turn eighteen.”

Once I was sure he was gone and wouldn’t be coming back, I sighed and sat down at the table, staring into space.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I recalled tonight’s events. If only Danzel had accepted me, I would have been treated with so much respect. I just didn’t know how much longer I could wait for Danzel’s acceptance.

I had been lying about my age, and I was actually nineteen. It wouldn’t be long before they figured out my lie, and then I’d be screwed. Humans always hid their women’s real ages. They were afraid of their women being taken by force. And that happened a lot.

I had to wait another two hours before I could go home because I had to clean up the mess he made out of rage.

I just didn’t get how a hybrid could get so pissed off over one comment. I spent the next two hours cleaning the tavern as quickly as possible so I could get home soon.

The weather was going to get worse in the next few hours, and I was scared of getting caught in the rain.

The rain came down in heavy sheets, soaking the earth and filling the air with its fresh, earthy scent. As I made my way home, the world around me felt small and distant under the steady roar of the downpour. Far from the towering Lock Castle, which sat on top of the mountain, our tiny human houses clung to the steep slopes in neat rows, spaced just far enough apart to feel isolated.

The Lock Castle was like the moon to our world, visible from every angle. It stood in the center, surrounded by humans, vampires, and witches. The vampires hid in the woods, while we humans struggled to carve out a life on these dangerous slopes. Traveling to and from work on foot wasn’t just exhausting—it was a daily battle. Between the human settlements and the castle lay the taverns and parks, the only places where our lives ever crossed paths with theirs in a meaningful way.

And then there were the witches. Those creatures had been banished. They weren’t allowed to practice witchcraft. The Lock Castle was where the Hybrid King lived with his two Lunas and sons.

That was when I felt it—a presence. Someone was walking right behind me. It was too late for a human to be outside their home.

I wasn’t alone. Someone had been following me for God knows how long.

The realization sent a chill down my spine. My steps faltered as I glanced over my shoulder, but the empty streets stared back at me. Still, the feeling lingered. Someone—or something—was watching me.

My heart pounded in my chest, louder than the rain. Whoever it was moved silently, slipping between the shadows. But I could feel their gaze—sharp and unyielding—fixed on me. My body tensed, shrinking as my mind raced through every worst-case scenario I had ever imagined.

Suddenly, I turned my head fully, scanning the street behind me. Still nothing. But when I faced forward again, I saw him.

A young man stood a few paces ahead of me, his wolf-like teeth bared and gleaming in the dim light. His glowing yellow eyes pierced through the rain, locking onto me. He was tall, like a beast. But I recognized him.

Before I could react, he moved with supernatural speed. One moment, he was standing there; the next, he had yanked me off the main path and shoved me into a narrow alley. My back hit the cold, wet wall with a force that knocked the air from my lungs.

A gasp escaped me, and my umbrella slipped from my grasp, tumbling away in the wind. His grip was like iron as he pinned my wrists above my head, pressing his body close and trapping me against the wall.

I struggled, trying to push him away with what little room I had, but he was too strong. His sharp, animalistic features twisted into a grin as he leaned in closer, his breath hot against my cheek.

“Caught you, my favorite human,” he growled, his voice low and menacing.
