Chapter Five

Dominic's POV

“Did you really go against him?” Damon asked me as I stepped into my penthouse, pulling out my shirt and tossing it to the maid waiting.

“Do you think I'd joke with something like that?” I hissed, heading towards the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee. I was so irritated by the fact that he went ahead to arrange some stupid engagement plans with Victoria or whoever she was.

“But you still have a meeting with Victoria which he asked to fit into your schedule. You can reject her after or even pay her off.” Damon said, placing an iPad before me to go through. It was the file of the Victoria lady. I didn't want to look at it but I had to find a way to get to her before she gets to me.

“Mayhems…” I mumbled, taking my mug of coffee up to my lips. It was the first time I was going against father and if I wanted to play this well, I have to play it right. “Dang it. Get out.”

“Dominic,” a deep voice pierced through the booming of the music. I had just been seated here since I arrive at the club, lost in thoughts and pondering the reason she wasn't here yet and of course I knew she would be here soon but I just couldn't wait to see her. I looked up at Leo, my best friend who had taken his seat before me even before asking.

“I heard you got yourself a woman? Who is she? Introduce me, dude.” I didn't say a word and just stared at him, pulling out a cigarette from the pack next to me. “Come on bro. I won't take her from you.”

“Old man asked me to get engaged to a different bitch…”

“What? But what about this one? From the pictures, she's really pretty for your standards. Who'd top that?” Leo cut me off. I turn to look at him, leaning forward with my hands crossed before me.

“If you set your eyes on my kitten for any reason, I'll gouge them out of place.” I threatened, standing from my seat to head towards the railings. The club was booming as usual with guys getting ready to gamble their way through the coming game.

I built this entire empire myself and now I want something else to be mine but my father wants to stand against that. I've always done whatever that old man wanted but I knew pretty well that this time I wasn't taking shit.

My thoughts were interrupted when Damon walked over with someone walking behind him. I didn't need to ask who it was since her flowery scent stood out to me in the midst of the atmosphere filled with disgusting alpha pheromones.

“You're here.” I said with a small smirk, taking the glass of whiskey the bartender just served me. My kitten. I haven't seen her since the other night and I just felt the boredom in my life creep back to me.

“She's come to check in for the night.” Damon said and she finally stepped out. My eyes raked over her from head to toe and I wanted to laugh but I held it in. Oh my goodness, she was so cute.

“What are you wearing, kitten?” I asked her, taking slow step in her direction and eventually paused inches away from her.

“I only wore what I had.” She replied, her lips trembling and I can tell it was taking all she had to stand in this room filled with alpha pheromones. For an omega like her it might be too much.

“That's too comfy for someone in charge of running my clubhouse, kitten.” I mumble, taking a few strands of her hair in my hand. They were so soft and silky. I didn't want to let go of them.

I already imagined she would show up in some sweatshirt and loose trousers just like she did the other day. She didn't seem to be one to show off her body, more like she didn't have enough money to even think about that.

“Get my car, Damon.” I said calmly, not letting go of the strands of her hair. At least she wasn't stepping back like she did the other day.

“Are you going somewhere?” She managed to ask, still keeping eye contact with me. Interesting.

“Why? Are you going to miss me?” I asked with a slight smirk which only made her frown. Gosh, she looked so sexy in every way. I just want to pin her down right now and see what she'll look like on her knees.

“You said you'll be assigning me to all my tasks personally so I can't start working if you don't do that.” She said, surprisingly not stuttering this time around.

I couldn't help but chuckle, leaning closer to her ear. “Let's go on a date, kitten.”

Her face flushed in an instant. “D-date?”

How innocent could she be. Without a second word, I lifted her up, throwing her over my shoulder. A slight yelp came from her. “W-what are you… doing? Put me down.” She wiggled but of course, she couldn't out power me.

I walked into the elevator, heading straight down to the parking lot. I didn't loosen my grip around her waist and she seemed to have grown tired of struggling as we got to the car.

“Where are you taking me?” She asked as I placed her into the passenger’s seat, fastening her seat belt.

“I've told you. We're going on a date.”

“But work…” I didn't let her complete her sentence before closing the door. She's just so innocent. She might be a contracted bride, but of course she must know her position now.

I drove us towards our destination and as I help her out of the car, she stared at me, then back at the building before us. “W-why are we here?” She asked.

“Why else? To

get you new outfits suiting your new position, wifey.”
