CHAPTER 2: Divorce

Scatlett's POV

"What do you mean? Pft! Everyone knows." Serena was obviously bluffing. I swung her around by the shoulder, smudging her precious lipstick across her lip! She looked perfect, like a joker.

"No, they don't, Serena. What is going on? Why are you acting so weird around me? It's creeping me out!" I said and shoved her backward.

"Stop handling me like that! You're just a lonesome slut who can't get her husband laid every night!" Serena was just prompting me to slap her till she bled.

"Oh yeah? Then what the hell is this!? This is custom-made!" I reached for the gold necklace and yanked it out of her neck. A deafening gasp left her mouth.

"Give that back!" She screeched and pounced on me!

"No!" We were clawing each other's arms until she pulled back and clutched her hair.

"ARGH! YOU'RE SUCH A USELESS BITCH! NO WONDER RAPHAEL CHEATED ON YOU!" I gasped like a seal.

"What!?" I screamed in her face. Wiping her lipstick on her hands, she gave me the crazy eyes as she said,

"That's right, you bitch. All you give him is vanilla when he wants so much more. And guess what? I GIVE HIM SO MUCH MORE!" I stumbled backward in utter shock.

"You..." I couldn't get the words out.

It all made sense now.

After Aria was born, Raphael was always out of the house, coming late from 'work'. Now that I discovered his work was screwing Serena for more rounds combined in our entire marriage, I felt nothing but disgust.

"That day when Raphael came home three days late..." I looked down at the floor and mumbled. Serena's heels clicked against the tiles. She walked to me, her crazy eyes staring down at my stout little figure.

"That's right, bitch. He opened up to me that day. About how easily you'd give in and give him no room to chase. When did you ever let him drill you like he does me? We tried everything in these five months than your entire life, Scarlett. Everything." Her taunts didn't stop there.

Serena was out for my blood. The way she gripped my shoulders and dug her claws in, caging me between the wall and herself. I never thought I'd be scared of a woman in such a situation.

"He put me in cowgirl, reverse, I hula-hooped on his eight inches. And we did it in your kitchen, your warm bedroom where you fucked to make Aria, the bathroom, the lawn for the neighbors to see how good I fuck your husband."

The list went on and on and on.

It never stopped.

I almost gagged and heaved on air, trying not to let disgust tumble me down the road of revenge. But what else could I have done?

Serena's body is desired by all classes and ages of perverted men. The aged, the middle, and the young desired her porn-star-class body. Fake implants, bbl, thin waist, and almost invisible arms and legs. Her face was always caked up with make-up that made impressions when she touched on a dark surface.

All in all, she was desirable and I was not.

"What did you give him, Scarlett? What made you so confident in making him stay loyal to you?" Serena asked, but...

"I- I gave him a home. A child. A...family."

Serena chuckled evilly. She made the devil run for his throne with her chuckle.

"No, Scarlett. Anyone could've given that man a family. You weren't special. You know why he chose me?" I didn't want to listen to her anymore. Could she please stop traumatizing me?

"Listen here, you bitch." She dug her fake nails even deeper and I yelped out in pain. The agony terrorized me with the words she threw in my face.

"Raphael used you for stability. But he craved and deserved so much more. Thank you for sharing him, because now, I'm never letting him go." She sneered in my face like a fox.

Tears like beads from a broken pearl string rolled down my cheeks. I've never faced a heartbreak in my life. Ever. I thought Raphael was perfect in every sense of the word. He was such a loving father before everything.

"You changed him," I said. He fell into this loophole because of an external, woman who couldn't keep her legs closed. Who lured a married man to enjoy her.

"I didn't. No one changed, Scarlett. We both got better and you got worse. Maybe that's your curse for being a mother." She grabbed my loose skin on the hips tightly and flung it like some rubber. I loathed myself, but today, it reached a whole new level.

Could no one love me the way I was?

I didn't need worshipping - I knew my body wasn't worthy to even look at.

But was this the price I had to pay for giving Raphael a family?

The thought strengthened my need to get the promotion even more. I was put into this tough situation strategically - I had just realized that.

Our catfight came to an end when I barged out with the plucked necklace still in my hand. I wiped my tears away, I had been looking like I was crying. But no one came forward to question me or even ask if I was 'okay'. That seemed like a far-fetched dream now. It seems okay. To seem normal.

I sat down at my table, breathing quietly.

I've calmed down quickly. That's become my virtue lately, to get over toxic emotions as soon as possible and move on.

However, in the middle of my data entry, the morbidly obese fucker showed up at my desk. He threw the papers in my face, looking away and barking out details.

"Two clients. Take them to wherever they want for a Christmas getaway. Luckily, they have an affluent budget you can waste or fill your pocket with." The fat balloon turned on his heel and left after croaking out.

I was opening the file when I heard my colleague say, "I heard Five Star Tour Guide Serena turned this offer down. I could've taken it even if it was the end of the world!"

The woman was oddly excited about it. I wondered why. I shrugged it off because my mood was down when I heard it was a hand-me-down offer. I was pissed.

But then, I opened the files and saw the names registered,

Ryder Killenslaw and Dylan 'CharmX' Killenslaw.

They were brothers. And I was their assigned Four Star Tour Guide.
