CHAPTER 5 Rage

Bronson POV

When the news of Madison's escape came to me, I was extremely pissed. She was never meant to leave my sight.

I am her mate, regardless of the fact that I had rejected her.

The door opened and Seth stepped into the long chamber.

"Any sign of her yet?" I asked, not even looking back at him.

"She is still not to be found. However, we have news concerning a young man, who many of the soldiers believed helped her escape."

I turned to him fully, comprehending what he had just said. "Take me me to him." I ordered and Seth will lead the way.

I was going to murder someone.

As we approached the dungeon, I could already hear the man's name scream echoing in the room.

His head wound was bleeding, bleeding from the sides, I turned my head and sighed.

He had already gotten dirty twice and hadn't gotten to the best part yet.

Dragging the knife across his jaw, I smiled a sadistic smile that sent him crashing into the iron chair he was sitting in, trying to free the chains that bound him.

"Be still!" I ordered. Normally, I don't torture hunters. They had just killed him when I met him, but soon the hunters were too close for comfort. I had to send a message.

"Don't try, I'm the ruthless Alpha for a reason," I said to myself.

"I know, it was really stupid of you to play dead," I told him, and he repeatedly nodded his head in agreement with my statement. "Did you think you could get away with an act like that?" I asked him and he shook his head.

"No...yeah..."

"Well, I'm going to assume that you want to live and I'll give you a chance to survive. That is, if you tell me where you're hiding," I declared, and remained calm as if to oblige.

"Remove the gag," I ordered the guards and they sprung into action, freeing her mouth. "Please… Please spare me," he cried, big tears running down his cheeks and I laughed.

"If you have this, you'll have spots all over your chest. You don't want that, do you? I gave you a chance by cutting your throat. Now free yourself from this torture and go back to your wife saying something reasonable. Stop spouting nonsense," I ordered him, and continued to shake his head.

"I'm going to give you one last chance and I want you to give me vital information. Now, speak!" I roared and it seemed to me that the wolf was about to come out, he swallowed.

"I know her, I knew her, she is..." He paused, eyes open, mouth open, and I turned to see Seth, manipulating the air, the wheel of his lungs. "You were asked to say something important and you keep talking stupid. Of course, who doesn't know who Madison the killer is."

Taking a deep breath of air, tears ran down his cheeks as he whispered.

Something was wrong, I was deceiving, I felt in my soul, that something was happening that I had no idea about.

With a strong crash, I sent him flying. He slashed the man's cheek and hung himself on the wall behind him. "The next shot won't miss," I warned, "Now tell me what I want to know, let's get out of this," I asked impatiently.

"I…I can't tell you where she is because…I don't know," he answered, shaking his head. His innocent look provoked me. "I thought you were wise enough to know that lying to me is the worst thing you can do," I looked at him.

"Waterboard him," I ordered and, as expected, my guards sprung into action.

Completely surrounding his face with rags, they splashed rivers of water on his face, giving the illusion of drowning.

This went on for an hour before I decided enough was enough.

"Enough, we need to behave now," I told him and removed the wet clothes from his face. "Am I ready to talk?" I asked him.

He couldn't even bring himself to answer, his head bowed to his chest as he took huge gulps of air, his chest heaving as he did so.

"Let's leave it for now, otherwise he wouldn't be able to tell us anything vital. I'm sure he will speak, in time. Of course," said Beta Seth, but as before, I felt that something was wrong.

"If push comes to shove, you can always go back and have one of our guards follow him to listen to Madison," he continued and I nodded.

It was a brilliant plan, but it still wasn't meant to free the soldier.

"Have a healer come and examine his wounds," I ordered a guard, "I don't want him to pass from blood poisoning or something equally horrible," I added.

They called someone over and I motioned for the healer to go ahead and heal the hunter, who was finally recovering from our torture session. He was moaning in pain, his face contorted in agony, and I smiled in satisfaction as I watched the healer use needles, pins, and various other tools, prodding and prodding.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, but was actually only a few minutes later, the healer removed the needle, wiped the excess blood with gauze, and attached it to the hunter's wound.

Then the healer left and the warrior sat down, looking weak but steady.

"So I ask you one more time, are you ready to talk?" I asked and he gave me a challenging look.

"Yes," he said and I smiled. "Let me start with what you can easily answer. Did you help Madison escape the dungeon?" I asked him and this time he nodded in agreement.

"Where is Madison now?" He didn't say anything and that irritated me a lot. His silence was enough as I took my nails and dug into his heart, forcing him to bleed.

"Seth!" I ordered as everyone saw him lifeless.
