Chapter~2 Meeting after years
MIA POV
My heartbeat began to raise as soon as I saw him, and I realized I still had feelings for him somewhere or another. I immediately turned away as soon as I confirmed it was actually him.
My condition somewhat began worsening. I was having panic attacks, and right now the only solution to my condition was drugs.
I turned towards Vivaan, and he immediately understood my situation, so we went towards the washroom. He waited for me until I was done. Almost all the girls were looking at me as if I were an alien. I mean, yea, isn't it completely fine to use the washroom, or do we need to take their permission? As soon as I came out, he asked, "Are you fine now?"
"Hmm," I replied blankly, knowing I was not fine at that moment. I was experiencing dizziness. "Let's get to the class."
"Ok, sure. You can go as per your schedule. Almost everyone over here knows who you are, so they'll definitely help you out."
I went towards my class where I was having my first lecture. Anirudh and I have the same lectures. So, particularly, yes—he was definitely going to be in the same room with me for fucking 7 hours a day. To be honest, I can't tolerate this guy.
As soon as I entered the class, I sat in an empty seat, and beside me sat a boy, not looking as rich as the other students. But he looked determined in his studies. I don't know, maybe I will talk to him and find out. To be honest, yes. In Hampton, most of the students are from rich families, but for me it doesn't matter; previously, even though I wasn't part of a rich family and I never wanted to be, my point of view towards rich families is that they sideline middle-class people. Being from one of those families, I have felt this discrimination. So, from my side, I really don't want to do the same to others.
When the boy sat beside me, one of the girls—probably THE SO CALLED POPULAR GIRL of the university, as described by Vivaan—came to us and said to him, "Do you even know who she is and who you are sitting with?"
"She's a human like us, as far as I can comprehend," he casually replied.
"She's the daughter of the owner of this university, and a slum dweller like you got the audacity to sit beside her. Tsk tsk. How mannerless," she mocked him.
"Listen, dude, just stay within your limits. Don't you dare get near her. Her standards can never match yours. So just leave if you don't want me to do anything that will make the trustees drag you out of the uni and ensure you don't get admission in any," Anirudh said. No, no—in my point of view, he just barked.
The boy was about to stand when I made him stop and spoke.
"So what if I'm the daughter of the Ahuja's? Aren't they human? I really don't care about him being a slum dweller or a prodigal. At least he isn't a bitch like you," I said without caring about her reaction.
But as soon as I said this, I knew she was fuming with anger. She is the daughter of the principal, as far as I know. Besides, why do I even care to get to know her?
"YOU!! How dare you say that to me. Do you even know who I am? I'm Yashika, the daughter of the principal of this university. I'll definitely complain about this to the principal," she yelled, thinking I would really get scared.
"Are you seriously a five-year-old kid threatening me by saying you would complain about me to your parents? Are you for real?" I said, getting pissed off by her behavior.
Before she was able to speak further, the teacher arrived, and she stomped back to her seat.
The boy and I had a good, friendly chat. I learned that he is Rishabh and he's one of the students who got admission in this school due to compensation. Last month, one of the universities in their village had been burnt down completely. The property was under the Ahuja's. So, it became our duty to settle all the children in different unis. I knew about this incident, but I didn't know that students were transferred to our own uni too.
To be honest, most of you must have thought that there would be some connection of feelings with him. But after my first breakup, I never had feelings for anyone. In short, I became cold-hearted. After I saw him today in the same uni as my senior, I was a bit startled, but it's fine. Who said we were gonna meet?
After a whole damn three classes—no, no, three fucking hours—it's recess, and I know very well that there's going to be some stupid drama again. I really don't wanna be a part of it.
I was heading towards the canteen to see how well everything works under Ahuja's, being the least interested in eating anything. In the meantime, I met Vivaan on my way. We stepped into the canteen together. There, I saw him again, and this time, he saw me too. His eyes showed signs of jealousy when he saw me with Vivaan. But I don't really care about it. He was the one who left first.
While I was lost in my thoughts, Yashika came towards me and was about to slap me when someone stopped her. When I turned around to face the person who did this, my world turned upside down. Rudraksh stopped Yashika from slapping me? How is this even possible?
"Baby, why did you stop me from slapping her? You know how much she insulted me," Yashika said while looking at Rudraksh.
Rudraksh gave her a strong glare and took her with him.
"Such a weirdo," I mumbled as soon as they left.
After all this drama, everyone's face showed horror because they knew what was going to happen next.
