Chapter 7

“Ashley I am a gay man and have known I was for a long time. I was friends with your dad in school he knows my husband. He knows I would never cross that line. Hell I have never been alone with you. Mrs. Ash is always in here when a female student is. I have never held a student back for no reason. After you missed 20 days the system kicked you out so please stop lying to your dad. Miss Mason did try to force us to put Ashley in Silvia’s classes but we told her Ashley didn’t have the grades or test scores for the class and Miss Mason said it was a mistake and that Silvia was stupid and worthless. Miss Mason before you call me a liar this office has a camera and is always recording as well as Mrs. Ash being here for it. So please take them home and Steve I normally don’t say this but for Silvia’s sake I will. Don’t bring them to the graduation they will just make it awful for everyone like they did when your daughter had singing performance with her class last month. I will send you that recording as well. If they come keep them on a short leash. I will send that military school your information for them to reach out so you don’t have to stress about it to much. Thank you for coming I have a graduation to get to and Silvia need to go rest and get ready for later. I will leave you in here for about 10 minutes then come back.” He said getting up shaking our hands and walking out the door.

“So I see my kids and wife having been lying to me well all of you but Silvia and she just doesn’t say anything. Now I see why I was gone to much to protect her. I am guessing Misty the only reason she doesn’t fight back is so she doesn’t hurt you and go to jail. Things will change I will not be going back to work for a while I put in leave and have 4 months worth so I will get all of this fixed and anyone who doesn’t like the changes will have to deal with it or get a job and move out. Anyone on drugs will be found out today you all will be drug tested and anyone on drugs will be kicked out. I don’t know what has been happening but shit will change. Now go home with Misty and no where else I will know where you are, you have guards I called for them.” They all look shocked. I guess they forgot he has been working for a long time plus his dad had shares in Microsoft so they are rich but mom has no say or access that’s why she lies and says its for us kids.

“I have no problem with that. I wont say I have never smoked weed but it is easier to get than having to explain to the hospital my mom and step-brothers beat me because my bitchy sister lied or mom was high or my step-brothers came home drunk, high and horny and I said no so they all beat the hell out of you. Uncle Doug is the only one who has been helping me with that. You have a good family Dad, Misty is the one who corrupted your kids. They are mini versions of her. I think I am more like Grandma Terry.” I say and I didn’t notice I told him what his boys do when I don’t lock the door. They never won and ended up worse than me but still they tried.

“Silvia I trust you but thank you for telling me. I understand weed it’s the other stuff that’s a no go.” Steve gets up and hugs me.

“Dad how are you going to believe her without asking me” Steve Jr asks.

“Because your Uncle said he caught you one night and beat the shit out of you so I already knew. There is only so much I can do and work that’s is why my brother stopped by when he could but being a Doctor he doesn’t have lots of time so he did what he could to help. You and your brother are going to military school as well as Ashley. Misty either you go to a mental hospital or we divorce. I only stayed with you to protect Silvia and I couldn’t even do that. She might not be mine but she has been since the day we married. I put it in my vows and everything so get over it.” My mother isn’t one to fight in public most of the time anyway now isn’t one of those times.

“Are you really going to listen to that man and that little bitch over us there is 3 of us and 2 of them I cant believe you are such a fool.” She says at the top of her lungs.

“For one there are 4 of you and Jerold hasn’t said shit the others are just shoved up your ass. You are the fool if you think he was going to not see Robert jumping out the window and also think he has no brain of oh hey the principal isn’t here to take sides just keep the peace and make sure we learn. Which they wouldn’t know how to do since they are never here. You also need to stop telling Ashley she is going to marry rich no one wants a spoilt little bitch for a wife. Steve put up with you because he was gone all the time so he chances are only what 7 years of a marriage before he gets tired of that attitude. That girl needs an education we live in the valley she will never find someone that rich hell you all burn through your money so fast.” I say shaking my head then I look at Steve “Dad I will meet you at the car lot I am going to get lunch at Round Table Pizza on Nobel right down the road meet me there when you are done with them.”

He gives me another hug kisses my head and says “okay sweet pea tell them I am meeting you and will pay when I get there.”

“Okay dad” I hug him back then go to my bike and drive to the pizza place. I park and go in, then I order a chicken, olive, mushroom, tomato pizza and 2 sodas with breadsticks and 2 salads. I told them I will grab everything when I come back in from smoking.

I step out side and lean on the pole that holds the building archway up and light the joint I had in my case in my bike. Then my phone goes off and I know who it will be, Rick. I am really starting to hate him.
