Getting closer to Chase
Sunday comes and goes. Melissa came over, and I told her what was going on between me and Chase. She tells me basically the same thing that Lily did, that I should weigh out the pros and cons between Brandon and Chase. She also told me I should get to know them both more before I make any decisions.
I'm gonna take her advice.
Now I just have to figure out a way to subtly get closer to Chase without him realizing that's what I'm doing.
I also have to figure a way to get Brandon to talk to me again, because I do really like him and I'm not ready to let him go.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday fly by in a whirlwind of meetings and notes. When I am finally able to take a breath again, it's Thursday.
This is also when I get an opportunity to create an environment where I can get to know Chase a little better. We go thru meetings all day, only stopping to have a quick bite to eat where Chase lightly flirted with me. After that, we're in meetings until 5. After the last meeting, we walk back to Mr. Logan's office.
When we get to his office, I say "Sir, we've finished pretty early today, considering how busy we were."
"Would you like to go and grab some drinks with me?"
He gives me a dumbfounded look before saying "Would I-, you know what? Sure, let's get drinks. Do you have anywhere in mind?"
I reply "Yea, it's a nice little bar called Le Petite Chambre, we can go there for some good drinks in a cozy atmosphere."
He nods, "Okay, let's go."
We walk out of the office building into the warm evening air. I guide him towards the bar, he looks at me questioningly, and I assure him it isn't far. We walk into the cool air of the bar, and I meander to a booth in the back. He's following so close behind me while looking around in wonder, that when I stop at a booth, he runs into my back. I bend over the table slightly but he is still pressed up behind me, so I feel when that pipe forms against my ass.
I blush, and straighten up quickly pulling away from him. I gesture to the booth behind me "We can sit here."
He clears his throat and after not so subtly adjusting himself, he slides into the booth. I slide in on the other side of him and a waitress walks over.
I order 2 shots of tequila and a beer. Mr. Logan orders a glass of their finest bourbon.
After I've taken my shots, and Mr. Logan is sipping on his bourbon, I start the conversation with "So, where are you from?"
He gives me a strange look, but he answers "I was born and raised right here in New York. We lived in the Bronx. It was my dad, mom, me, and 6 siblings, all younger."
I shake my head in wonder "Really? You have six siblings? Wow! How many brothers? How many sisters?"
He chuckles "One question at a time."
"But to answer you, yes, I really have six siblings. I have 4 sisters and 2 brothers. My brothers are the 2 youngest. The one closest to me in age is my sister Sara, she's 27."
I stare at him with wide eyes "And how old are the rest? And what's their names?"
He looks at me with the cutest smile on his face and says, "Okay, so I told you about Sara, then there's my sister Elise, who's 26. Then you have my sister Lori, who's 25. Then there's Iris, who's 24. Then you have my brothers Phillip and Michael who are twins, and they are 19."
My eyes are even wider "Wow! I didn't know you had such young siblings!" "I bet you try to be the cool older brother." I say, snickering.
He gives me a mock frown "I do nothing of the sort!" "I don't have to try." he says, smirking.
I laugh, "I bet you don't Mr. Logan, you're cool as is. How many people can say their oldest brother owns his own company and is a billionaire?"
He shrugs "I'm sure they're happy they can say that when they need some money."
I shake my head "I doubt money is the only reason why your siblings want to spend time with you."
He looks at me sadly "You'd be surprised by how many people want to spend time with me for that very reason."
I smile at him and say "Well I'm sure your siblings aren't included in those people. Neither am I. I think you're cool, I think you've accomplished much in your life." "I'm proud to be able to work for a man of your caliber, who you are, both professionally and personally."
He smirks at me "You don't really know me personally though."
I blush and look down "I think I know enough."
He reaches over and lifts my head with a finger under my chin, "I'll tell you whatever you wanna know. Maybe even some things you don't."
We spend the rest of the evening drinking and getting to know each other. He tells me how he wasn't always rich, how he used his smarts to make the fortune he has today. He tells me how his parents are college professors who only want the best for their children. I learn so much about Chase this night. After a few drinks I'm comfortable enough to start telling him all about me and my siblings. All about my small friend group, and how Jack is in love with me. I tell him how Brandon is upset with me because Jack brought him up and now Brandon wants to know who he is.
All in all, I definitely overshared. I should have stopped after the first 4 shots, but no I was feeling good and had to keep going. So now I'm 6 shots, and 4 beers in, and I'm drunk. I'm not blackout drunk, but I'm slurring my words and swaying in my seat.
He says "Come, I'll take you home."
When we make it to my house, Chase walks me to my door, where he grabs me and pushes me back against the door. He pushes his leg between mine, and runs his nose up my neck and hums. He leans back and gives me a lust filled look. In the next second his mouth descends on mine and I experience the dreamiest kiss I've ever experienced.
It's all heat and sensation, and I can't seem to get enough. We pull apart when we run out of breath. I look at him blinking slowly, breathing deeply, not so drunk anymore I ask "What was that for?"
He steps back and gives me another lust filled look. Then he says, "I couldn't let this night end without tasting your pretty mouth. I couldn't hold myself back."
I smile lazily at him, "I think you've had enough of a taste."
"I don't think I could ever have enough of you." he says.
