CHAPTER 02

“How” I asked. I was getting scared that Alpha Samual gave me a job where I would again be abused.

“Run you off your feet and call you names. I know one girl was assaulted. Alpha took the guest side and had the girl punished for lying. It was not until after the guest left that another girl told him the same thing.”

“I have to find a way out of here” I told leigh.

“How she said everything is on high security and if you go outside the boarders, you will be considered a rouge.” “Alpha will punish you severely if you are caught.”

“I can't stay here anymore. I need to leave and go hide in the human world”. “Emma, be serious. What will you do when you turn 18 and meet your wolf and shift for the first time? Do you want to do that alone.”

“You could come with me, Leigh.”

“No,” leigh said I can't. I hope to find my mate here."

“This pack is almost as bad as my fathers”. I sighed. I had never felt so unwanted or not loved. My mother loved me, but when she died fighting rogues, my father started to not like me and said, "I looked too much like my mother. “I was weak. I would never find a mate he was an Alpha. How could I be weak he just hated me. When he took a new, she wolf, for his wife, I ended up here goddess please end my suffering.

‘What are you thinking about?” leigh asked,

“Sorry, nothing. I hate it here.!”

“You might find your mate here,” leigh said to encourage me.

But I knew I wouldn't.

“No”, I told her. I don't even know if I have a wolf.”

“Now you are talking crazy Emma leigh said everyone has a wolf.”

“I have just over a year before,”

I told leigh. My birthday was in two days, but I never told anyone. I did not want to be here. There was a knock on the door leigh opened it as she was closer a warrior stood there lights out go to your own room he told leigh. Night, I told her as she went out. The warrior closed my door. I turned out the light, went to the bathroom, and put on my pajamas.

I was asleep only and hour went the sirens started going off. I got up quickly threw on sweats and a t-shirt put on my running shoes, grabbed my jacket, and went out my door go to the safe room, I was told. I ran downstairs as fast as I could. The pack was under attack. When another girl and I went into the safe room, the door was closed and locked. I looked around at all the other women and children trying to find leigh I could not find her.  I started asking everyone if they had seen leigh, and everyone was saying no. I went over to Luna Rachel. “Sorry Luna to bother you, but leigh is not here.”

“Sorry Emma, we can't open the door. I hope she found a good place to hide”.

“Thank you, luna.” I bowed my head and went to a corner and cried, I prayed leigh was okay.

It was 2 hours before the door opened, and we were let out. I stood to one side watching to see if leigh came out. I hoped I had just missed her. There were so many women and children in there. But she never came out. I noticed another servant girl doing the same thing as me. When everyone had come out, I asked her if she was looking for leigh.

“No, I’m looking for Grace,” she told me.

“I’m looking for leigh.” I said. Luna and alpha were not far from us. I went over to them. Bowing my head,

I said “Alpha Samual; may I have to speak with you.”

“Not now, Emma, we are busy.” He said.

“I know Alpha Samual, but this is important.” Alpha Samual looked at me, anger on his face. Luna Rachel put her hand on his arm.

“What is it, Emma?” she asked. The other girl stood behind me.

“Luna Leigh and a girl named Grace are missing.”

“Are you sure” both myself and the other girl said yes luna with our heads bowed. Alpha Samual started to curse “that, makes six that they took. Emma, Tammy, go to your room and stay there for now”.

“Yes, Alpha,” we both said and went to our floor. I found out as we got closer to my room that tammy’s room was beside mine. As I went into my room, she followed and closed the door.

“Hi, I’m Tammy your Emma, right?”

“Yes,” I said.

“I have heard a lot about you,” Tammy said. “I was hoping to get a chance to talk to you. I'm sorry about what your dad did. He is an awful alpha”.

“Yes,” I agreed with her. How many know who I am?” I asked her.

“Everyone tammy said. It is awful that Alpha Samual made you a servant instead of a pack member You don't deserve to be a servant.”

“It is what it is,” I told her.

“It is still wrong.” Tammy said.

“How old are you” she asked.

“almost seventeen,” I told her.

“I turned seventeen two months ago.” Tammy said. I never told anyone it was my birthday.

“My birthday is the day after tomorrow, but don’t tell anyone” I said to her.

“I won't Tammy assured me. I hope we can be friends, I know leigh, and she worked in the kitchen. I just got sent to work there.”

“Leigh is a good person and a good friend. I’m scared for her”.

“I am scared for her and Grace.”

“Why would they take them?” I asked.

“I don't want to think about it,” Tammy said.

We both sat on the floor with our backs to my bed. There was a knock on my door. Luna Rachel came in,

“Tammy. You should be in your room”.

“Sorry, Luna” Tammy said. “We are both scared and did not want to be alone.”

“I understand” Luna said, "Please go to your room now though I wish to speak with Emma."

“Yes, Luna” Tammy said and got up and went to her room.

“Emma,” Luna Rachel said,” we caught a couple of the rogues.” I was scared. Why was she telling me this.

“Alpha Samual got one of them to talk.”

“What do they want, Luna? I asked.

“You.” I looked at her, shocked.

“What?” I could not understand it.

“The rouge said they are looking for the alpha’s daughter of the silver paw pack.”

“But why do they want me” I asked.

“I don’t know Emma, but we are not safe with you here. We have to send you somewhere.”

Alpha Samual is working on it now”.

“I will just go I said, getting up off the floor.”

“No, Luna Rachel said you can't just go wandering out in the forest.”
