Chapter 10

He could blow up at any time.

Immediately the house was empty, Silas walked over to his friend who hadn't gotten up from the chair he sat on a few hours ago.

"Looks like Bounce will be in full show tonight. Why don't we go there and have some fun? You need to get laid." Silas suggested. He would do anything to bring his friend out of his suicidal mood.

Lucas did not even spare Silas a glance.

Silas sighed. It wasn't working. Then he had an idea.

"Instead of sitting here, sulking, why don't we go and have fun...we could ask some questions about that feisty lady." He added, waiting for a reaction. He got it when Lucas turned his head slowly at him.

"What?"

If Silas didn't know better, he would have thought his friend was offended but he could see the little glint of excitement in his eyes.

So, it is the Laurel girl. Silas shook his head. Was his friend having an interest in that feisty girl? That would be ridiculous.

"Let's go then. I need to get my mind off this morning report." He whispered slowly but Silas heard him.

Silas motive wasn't to take Lucas to the club to find more information about Laurel. They could find all about her even without going there!

His motive was to make Lucas forget his troubles. Laurel Marco can wait.

"That is the spirit!" Silas fisted the air, practically dragging his best friend out of the house.

It was dark by the time they got to the club. Lucas sighed as he turned the ignition key.

"Let's go inside and get you a nice, pretty lady to settle down with." Silas cheered on.

Lucas paused. "I am not settling down with anyone."

Silas pouted. "Seriously Lucas don't dampen my mood. If you aren't interested in having fun, we can walk out of this, right here, right now."

Lucas smirked. "You don't mean it…"

Silas' face cracked into a smile. "Of course I don't!"

He gripped Lucas hand, dragging him into the sound.

Everyone was having fun except Lucas.

"Book a reservation, I'll join you later." Lucas instructed Silas. His eyes told Silas to back off. He needed to clear his thoughts.

The shipments have been really affected by those losses and if he didn't do something now, he would go back to where he started.

"That bastard. He should have known better than to steal from me!" Lucas whispered angrily. He looked about blindly, he felt like he was going crazy. He stopped at the bar attendant and didn't object when the bartender placed a drink in front of him.

He knew he looked like he needed one. Lucas drained the glass and within minutes, he gulped down 10 shots of vodka.

A hand gripped his shoulders seductively. He turned to his left only to find a girl clinging onto him for dear life.

Someone must have pushed her onto me, Lucas thought to himself as he tried to understand why the girl's hands were all over him.

Suddenly, she kissed him. He couldn't resist her. He tried to push her off him but her tongue got tied to his. He couldn't untangle it!

She tasted like the vodka He just drank, bitter sweet. At that moment Lucas wondered what Laurel would also taste like. He bet those sharp plump lips of hers would taste like strawberries.

He wouldn't mind kissing her all day.

"Who are you?" Lucas finally pulled away, asking to know.

"I am Laurel, what's your name, lover boy?" Laurel asked in an alluring tone.

She looked too real. Lucas shrugged. Perhaps she had found a way to escape his home and here she was, working her way out.

"Laurel, did you finally escape my guard?" He teased.

"Oh...the teaser, well then, if I escaped the guard, I am not sure I would run away from you. I never would." Laurel whispered in a low tone.

Lucas chuckled. He had expected a snarky reply. Why is she playing along? The Laurel he knows or just knew never plays along. He became bored instantly.

The vision of the fake Laurel began to clear from his mind and the image of the lady came into view.

There she was. Same height as him with the biggest breasts he'd ever seen on a woman. Lucas pushed her way from him. He needed to find Silas.

The lady didn't bulge. "Don't you dare run away from me! I didn't start this just to end it here tonight. Take me to your home and I promise I won't run and try to escape like whosoever this Laurel girl did."

Lucas rolled his eyes in irritation. "Who put you up to this? An enemy?"

The woman's patience was running out. She had other clients to meet and she certainly wasn't going to waste it over a drunken man who had issues with his wife or girlfriend.

But if she could have her way tonight…

The drunken man swaying slowly before her was every woman's wet dream. He was 6 feet tall, handsome with that 5'0clock jaw of his, his eyes, oh...those eyes and what's more? She has been promised lots of money. It would be worth the shot.

The woman relaxed. She needed to be patient or forever lose this Greek God to the arms of other desperate girls.

"Take me home and I'll never try to escape." She tried again. It seemed to her like her words were finally getting to him. His lips were soft and she wanted to have a taste again.

Lucas on the other hand didn't want to kiss the woman again. Her features were slowly taking form. Although he wouldn't deny how pretty she looked, she still wasn't what he needed.

"Did Silas put you up to this?" He scanned around for his friend only to find him buried in some lady's ample bosom. He looked excited, happy. The pervert!

Lucas wasn't excited.
