Chapter 9
RENZO SMITH'S POINT OF VIEW
The sun shines above the sky, it glows like the moon. The sky was peaceful, the birds were flying freely up in the sky. The clouds and sky were as blue as the ocean. Some birds were chipping from the branches of the tree. The tree swayed as the wind blows it, creating a warm wind that passes by my bare skin.
I was sitting on the bench outside of our organization. I was admiring the skies and tree that was making my eyes mesmerize.
I was still hoping that this was a dream. That my wife is not in great danger. That my wife's life is not gonna be get killed.
I was willing to do anything to save Amelia. She was the only person that I had in life. I didn't want to lose her. Until now, I can not accept the fact that her life is still in danger, that I had to kill her.
All I wanted for her was that she would be safe and happy as long as she would be by my side.
First, she can not love me.
Second, she was now in danger.
Third, I can not prevent anything from not happening.
It feels like I was a bit of bad luck in her life because of this sh*t that was going on in her life.
She didn't even know that her life was in danger. Because I did not want her to know. I do not want her to worry about anything. As long as I could do this on my own, I would not tell her.
I didn't want her to stress out because of it. I would fix this case no matter what...
"Amelia was my weakness, she became everything to me, my world, my happiness. I can not bear to lose her, because I would go crazy. I didn't want anyone to harm her. As long as I am by her side, I would never let anyone touch even a single strand of her hair, " I whispered to myself.
I could feel that inside me that worried side of me towards Amelia...
She is the weakness that I could not remove from my life...
Rod Azrael held a meeting for all of the members. Because I would be announcing that I would take over the group. Since I needed a lot of men to send in every place to investigate. So the investigation would be easier and be fast.
"Let us welcome! Renzo Smith. He would be our new leader. He would take over our group. And I would be assisting him, " Rod announced.
I just looked at them and smiled forcibly.
I don't need this kind of formality. But since it would be easier since I dont need to introduce myself to them one by one. I don't have that kind of time to introduce myself. This kind of meeting would be a little help for us.
I looked at everyone that was whispering because of me.
"He is one of the five valuable members of this organization. Right?"
"He was once the right hand of the former superior of this organization, "
"I could not believe that I could see him. I just heard some amazing stories about him, "
"We could be in a great leadership, "
There are a lot of comments about me. But I don't care about it!
"I am Renzo Smith! I would now be taking over the group. You would all be helping me in the mission that was given to us. Your cooperation is needed and would be very helpful for the team, " I stated.
They all nodded as I spoke seriously.
I gaze all at them directly in the eyes, to say, that they should do their job properly.
I wanted to finish this mission as soon as possible.
"Any questions?" Rod asked the crowd.
Since it would be a briefing for us. So that they would not also be asked us, about the mission multiple times. If they had some questions they could ask them right away.
"What is the illegal doing that the person who are we gonna investigate this time?"
"A large human trafficking, " Rod shortly answered.
I looked at them.
While they are raising their one by one and asking a lot of questions.
"Could you give us a brief information about the mission?"
"There is a woman named Amelia Rivera who owned one of the most successful companies all around the world. She was falsely accused to be behind large human trafficking here in the Philippines. The evidence against her was a bit suspicious and have a lack of information. That is why we don't know if she was really behind the human trafficking that was accused to her, " Rod explained.
I looked at him.
As he explained the mission that was given to us. I am glad that Rod didn't say anything bad about Amelia.
I just listen to them as they asked a couple of questions and Rod explained it thoroughly to them.
The meeting was just finished. I have given them one envelope to another. I instructed them to re-investigate in the place that I had given to them. I gave each one of them their mission to do so that they had to do. And it would be easier for me to do my mission, and it would be ended as soon as possible.
I was now heading to my superior's office. I was gonna asked him about the four months he had given me.
FLASHBACK
"You had two options Renzo kill her or turn her over in the police station," he said.
"I know you were the closest person to her. Even you leave the underground society a long time ago. You still had things to finish because, if we, the organization didn't help you. You would not meet her and have the kind of riches," one of the superiors continuedly said.
"B-but---," Renzo respond but, they didn't let him finish his sentence.
"No, buts!" they cut his word. "Now, think Renzo! Think carefully, this meeting is over we would leave it to you. We are giving you four months for this mission," he said.
END OF FLASHBACK
It still bothers me now. Because I didn't know if he said if I should do my mission in four months or think about the mission in four months.
Four months was a very short time. I don't think I would be able to finish the mission in four months. It would be hard for me to finish it in a short time.
"Boss! I came to ask you if I should finish my mission in four months as you said to me?" I asked him.
He put down the pen he was holding and stared at me coldly. The cold air passes by my bare skin. His gaze towards me gave me goosebumps that could easily make my whole body shiver.
"No! You can finish your mission anytime you want, " he coldly answered and looked at the papers he was reading again.
"Thank y---" I didn't finish what I am going to say because he interrupted me.
"You can leave now!" He stated and looked directly into my eyes.
Our eyes meet, and I am immediately locked away as soon as our eyes meet.
I just nodded to what said and walked out of his office.
I took a sigh of relief as soon as I was out of his office. His gaze gave me some goosebumps that made my whole body shiver.
I walked into the long hallway as I was going out of our hideout. I would go and see Amelia now. Because I spend a lot of time here. I wanted to see her for today.
When I came out of the front door. I immediately goes inside my car and drove off. I walked inside the elevator as soon as I was in Amelia's company building.
When the elevator door opened. I confidently walked into the hallway as the employees looked at me.
They are just looking at me like that. Because they know that I am always in here. And they also know that I am Amelia's husband. I just smiled at them as I walked passed them.
"Good morning! Sir, "
"Good morning!" I greeted back at them and smiled while I was walking.
When I was in front of Amelia's office. I was about to open the cold doorknob of her office. But then I heard some voices talking.
"I hope this money would be a useful helped for your parents, " Amelia stated.
I just opened a little the door of Amelia's office. As I took a little peek inside his office.
Who is the person with Amelia?
"Thank you! Maam. I would make sure that I would pay this money back. Thank you so much!" She thanked Amelia.
Amelia is helping someone again?
I just can not help myself but smile. Since she was always been like that. Amelia is always open and kind-hearted to everyone as ever.
Amelia was always been this kind. And I can not think that they are thinking that Amelia could do such things.
"Even if you don't repay me it is okay. I am glad to help you!" Amelia answered.
I just keep smiling as I listen to their conversation.
"How could they accuse Amelia of that kind of thing?"
