GOING TO DO

Evelyn's POV.

Ava stormed into the house, her hands clenched into fists as I trailed behind her, excitement bursting through me.

"Mum." Ava shrieked as she began to cry, running into Elara's out-stretched hands. She was sitting on the couch, glaring at me but I didn't care, and just folded my hands around my chest.

'Let's see the next card mother and daughter want to pull now.' I thought.

"I heard about everything Evelyn. How could you do this to your own sister? Snatching her man?" Elara yelled and I just shrugged.

"It's not my fault that he chose me over her." I said pointing at Ava who intensified her tears. It didn't move me one bit, gone are those days it did.

"Because you seduced him? Don't you have a fiancee already?" Elara refuted and anger burned in my veins.

"You mean the cursed Alpha you sacrificed me to while arranging a powerful match for your own daughter?" I gritted my teeth against one another.

Elara just scoffed.

"He paid handsomely for you dear." She told me and my fingers burned with the need to scratch her face out.

"Too bad you will be refunding the money because I am not marrying him." I told her and the side of her lips curled into an evil smirk that sent shivers down my spine.

Silence went on for a few seconds before she snapped her fingers and before I could even blink, guards appeared out of nowhere.

"That's where you are wrong Eve, this marriage will proceed as planned." Elara then pointed at me.

"Have her locked up in her room till I say otherwise." Elara commanded and my eyes widened in disbelief.

The guards all came to bundle me up. Two huge men with glasses on. I took a step backwards, trying to evade them as I grabbed the vase on the table beside me.

"Come closer and I will smash your head in." I warned with a deadly look but Ava, who was watching everything in satisfaction, burst into laughter as she wiped the tears off her face with a face towel.

"You guys are stronger. Do your jobs." She yelled and watched as Elara brought out her phone to make another arrangement for a new wedding dress.

I was distracted by this and the guards took the opportunity to bundle me away.

"Argh." I screamed in pain as I kicked the door hard in frustration, almost bruising my knees. It has been more than an hour now, and I have been knocking furiously on the iron door.

My knuckles were bruised and I have been refused to be let out. Even my meals weren't brought but I didn't give a hoot about that.

I needed to escape so I immediately rushed to my bag and scattered the contents in it onto my bed. I saw my cellphone and tried calling Alpha Sebastian when I realized that I didn't have his number.

I decided to search the net for it and saw that the fucking wifi had been turned off. Definitely, Elara definitely anticipated this move of mine.

My legs wobbled and I collapsed to the floor, with my head bowed, my heart sinking.

'Was history on its way to repeat itself?' I pondered and heard the sound of the lock on my door being turned.

My eyes narrowed as I got to my feet immediately and railed forward to check whether I have been set free, only to collide into someone.

"Ouch." escaped my mouth as my nose hit the buttons on his shirt. The familiar cologne entered my nose and I stifffen.

"Hello there." His deep, voice sounded in my ears and I slowly raised my head up to see the man I hated more than anything.

The bastard still responsible for my current predicament. A grin was dancing on his lips, as he winked at me, before wrapping his hands around my waist, drawing me closer into him.

I wanted to barf as I suffocated in the forceful embrace.

"Someone can't wait to see me." He teased and I matched him hard on his foot, opening my teeth to bite him on the chest.

A painful groan escaped his mouth as his hold lossened and I immediately jumped out of his arms, putting distance between us.

His eyes darkened with rage as he tried coming closer but I grabbed the fruit knife from the fruits on the table and pointed it at him.

"You know that can't do shit to me." He reminded me of his strength but I didn't care, I was still going to stab.

"Why don't you come closer and see?" I mocked and he snarled at me.

He moved backwards, staying by the door which was wide open. I contemplated dashing past him to go outside and leave this mansion but as if he read my mind, he smirked and closed the door behind him.

He even blocked the entrance with his weight and I wrinkled my nose at him in disgust.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, as I went to sit on my bed, still pointing the knife at him.

"To see my bride-to-be ofcourse. Have you tried on your new wedding gown?" He taunted and my jaw tightened.

"I am not your bride neither is the wedding holding." He laughed at my words.

"Nothing is changing love." He told me as he placed his hands into his pocket and I frowned.

"How is your mate taking this?" I inquired and his expression hardened. It was my turn to grin as I spinned the knife in my hand around.

"She can quit pretending since I now know the truth. It must also be so frustrating to be in her shoes." I added and Lucas stormed over to me.

He grabbed me by my chin roughly, forcing me to look into his blue eyes that I used to cherish but now, I wanted to pluck them out and feed to him.

"Watch your tongue. There is no rule in the contract that states that I can't hurt you." He threatened and I just scoffed, before tightening my hold on the knife and using it to cut him.

He jerked, his mouth falling open as he watched blood gushing out of the small wound I made. I intentionally targeted his veins.

A silent warning that I was not to be messed with. They were all going to pay, Sebastian or not.

As expected, he immediately rushed out of my room, cursing as the guards locked the door immediately again.

The smile dancing at the edge of my lips dropped as my heart began to pound against my chest.

'What if Elara could convince Sebastian to choose Ava again? She was a sneaky witch after all.' I thought as my stomach dropped, a feeling of dread going through me.

I had no plan B. What was I going to do?
