Avery Mills, a fresh-faced college graduate, finds herself in an unexpected predicament. Her father's political aspirations hinge on her marriage to Xander Presley, heir to the Presley Corporation. However, Avery soon discovers that her husband-to-be is grappling with mental health issues stemming from the loss of his ex-girlfriend, Lilith Meyers.
