Chapter 3

Olympia’s POV

The king stretched his hand, about to get the whip from his son but paused, thinking, assessing me. “You’re too small for me to handle.” He scoffed.

“Elliott, Asher, Ryder,” he called his sons. “You will take her!”

“Ayeee!” They chorused.

“Make her your personal callgirl. I don’t need a stubborn Omega to embarrass me before my men. You just need to tame her indoors.”

I watch them nod once again.

“Why I said so,” he rubbed his chest with satisfaction, I furrowed my brows with anguish.

Look how he acts like he owns the world!

He cleared his throat, switching gaze between them and I. “You guys are young and brutal. Break her, tame her!” Those were his verdict and I looked into the eyes of them all, they stood at this.

The words carried a weight I couldn’t explain. But there are four, the only thing I knew about King Fabian.

He didn’t mention one of his sons? Why?

My eyes roamed above me at the tall images above me, then I sighted my assaulter’s hand, he was stepping towards me when another command echoed. One from the three men stormed forward, pushing his brother off and grabbing me.

“How dare you treat her this way?” He pulled me to his chest, hugging me tight, caressing my back and pulling my face up to examine. I felt a kind of warmth, a mild feeling cruising through me, making me numb to the pain and hurt.

“Who’s this guy? Why is he different” I opened my eyes wider, staring into his face, he looked like an angel, eyes brilliant blue, cool and giving me a warm expression.

“I’m so so—“

His sweet voice was cut off from the scold of the king. “Cassius, I hope you haven’t forgotten who you are?” What does he mean?

Another chuckled. “He has never fallen in love, hasn’t looked at any girl twice, it’s quite shocking the first that catches his attention is this filthy, stubborn Omega.” He scoffed.

“Will you shut the fuck up, Asher. This isn’t funny.” He scolded. I cocked my head in shock.

Who’s he among them? What’s his name?

I stared at them, eyes filled with wonder. One still stood at the edge of the stairs, unbothered but with a slight smirk on his lips.

I gulped a lump down my throat.

“Like I said you will take her!” The king’s voice pulled up again. “I have the rest to deal with.” He turned, almost walking away, then paused. I fumbled back but my savior’s hand was still on me, holding me firmly in place.

“But you Cassius—“ he pointed to him, the one I was standing with, the one my wolf would run to for succor.

“You’re to return to the Chapel estate. You came visiting. You’re exempted.”

“Urgh?”

His words sounded strange. Chapel? What? Why?

Is there anything I don’t know? Why the only person that stood up for me ever in my life?

I wanted to protest, but he immediately slid his fingers over my mouth. He leaned. “Don’t worry.”

That was the last moment I saw him but the memory wouldn’t fade.

————

Elysium was a hell zone disguised as a five-star nightclub. From the outside, it looked like an upscale lounge, its glass walls glowing gold under the moonlight, but inside, it was a kingdom of sin—a place where the most powerful elites in the country came to indulge their darkest appetites.

I’d only been here a week, yet the suffocating air of smoke, liquor, and dominance already clung to me, heavy and hard even as I was only commanded to exclusively serve the three princes. They hadn’t had sex with me yet, but their eyes would often stare at with lust, at other times with anger. I was like their pet, escorting to and fro Elysium where they spent most of their times, together with their dad.

I wonder if they ever have something good to do with their life, other than drinking, flirting with girls and wasting away here. They left me to flirt with the other girls and yes I loved it. I wasn’t ready to give my body to any man but then my heart wouldn’t stop thinking of their brother that stood up for me.

My heart softened for him, I really wanted to see him again but I couldn’t ask of him. They wouldn’t even say a word to me.

I adjusted the shimmering silver dress forced onto me, its slit scandalously high. The corset hugged my ribs so tightly I could barely breathe, but breathing wasn’t required for my role tonight. It was just to look sexy, stay around the princes in case they needed me. I hated this role so badly but there was no room for escape. The little luck I had was that they never looked my way.

Other girls had been picked randomly to satisfy the king’s friends present here, others the king himself but I was never picked. The princes were my masters and they never wanted me. I was only an escort to keep them company through the night, for as long as they stayed here, then return to my apartment when it’s over.

I wonder if their turning to see me beside them got them thinking they have some sort of power over me.

Tonight, however, the atmosphere changed. I felt it, even by just looking around. The air lurked more with a drunken aura as the night went on. Then the king stood up in the midst of his friends and the semi-clad girls entertaining them. His behavior was unusual.

He began to search through the hall, slowly, steadily.

This ain’t gonna lead to any good!

My wolf warned me.

As if she’d been told, his eyes landed on me the next second. I flinched, getting the Alpha princes noticing. They turned to gaze at me, then their dad.

“Is he going to ask for her?” Asher, from his voice whispered.

“Because we aren’t using her as we should.” Elliott snapped, partially mocking, partially serious, he knew I was hearing, just the Alpha King who couldn’t hear.

“She’s looking at us,” the last brother, Ryder, alerted them. Our eyes met, he rolled away. “If the king wants her, he could have taken her for a long time and stop keeping a useless Omega around us.”

Ryder wasn’t hiding his hatred, he showed it plainest.

King Fabian staggered towards where I sat, grabbed me by the arm. All eyes were on us now.

“Tonight, you’re gonna be an entertainment for us, you can’t just come in here to watch us all the time without doing anything—an Omega for sale, a body in glittering packaging like this must not fail to amuse the highest bidder.” He looked at me with lust, I breathed deep, trying to avoid the stench of alcohol which was heavy on his mouth.

His sons stared with such tight frowns at him. I was thinking they will support this.

What’s going on?

“I’ve been observing, all night you come here to stay and watch.” He confessed. I stiffened, wondering what would happen to me next. His sons were now on their legs, gazing.

“I didn’t buy you to come here for that.” He breathed, his tone making it seem like selling a person is right.

“You’re gonna be auctioned off for the highest bidder tonight.”

My heartbeat went up to the peak this moment.

“There must be someone out there desiring you since my sons aren’t.”

He dragged me forward, I gulped, feeling my legs shiver as the auction was about to begin.

“No! No one is touching her.”

I shrieked at the sound of the voice. I turned. Elliott? You? How? Why?

His brothers nodded in agreement.

“You said we need a girl to personally serve our Enigma wolves, to prevent the budding occurrence of feral cancer, why then do you want to take her away?”

“Urgh?”

“You’re Enigmas?” I couldn’t help but gasp in shock.

New day, new revelation.

Enigmas are the highest rank of Alphas, S-class Alphas following before normal Alphas. Enigmas when in heat could kill their partner. Realizing this got me freezing right there on the spot. Then imagining three Enigmas on me.

No wonder they don’t have a mate but the king is bent on acquiring Omegas through his bid for themselves. A secret no one told us before leaving our pack.

Then a quick thought brushed in.

Where are the previous set of Omegas recruited each year? Dead?

Truth hits deep.

“I should be crying in pity for myself.” I mumbled within me, feeling my body get feverish.

“I can’t be with Enigmas—“ I shivered, letting the words pull out before I could even realize.

“I wish it was Cassius I was given to. He seems gentle.”

“I want to serve only him.” I fantasized, wishing hard.

They heard me. All three brothers chuckled, Ryder’s expression unreadable, Asher’s grin widening, Elliott’s smirk twisting cruelly. The king crowned it all with a loud sinister laughter.

“What nonsense are you mumbling?” King Fabian’s voice taunted.

Elliott crouched, gripping my chin roughly, forcing me to look at him. “Cassius won’t come for you, Omega,” he sneered. “He’s an exorcist. Ordained by the moon goddess to hunt demons, vampires and witches. He doesn’t need one in his life. You belong to us.”

“We’ll teach you obedience,” Ryder, the nonchalant prince, threw his taunt.

“But not until—“ the sarcastic Asher cut in. “Your body is fully prepared to take us. We don’t want you dead like the rest of the Omegas.”

At once, my lips sprang wide. My legs weakened and I crumbled to the ground but on the edge of falling, I felt a firm hand rounded over my waist. Elliott.

“Your Cassius isn’t here to grab you, let me.” He hissed, grinning in a sinister style.

Cassius? an exorcist?

The only one whose touch I craved. The only one who’d defended me.

Why is fate all turning against me?
