Chapter 3

Bucky lowered his head and took out a cigar.

Alina disappeared for three years, then became the director of Circuit Group. A rabbit who was usually very obedient and gentle, tonight dared to bare her fangs and claws in front of him.

Bucky snorted: "This is ridiculous. How could she do that?"

Just after taking a puff of the cigar, the phone on the sofa rang.

Bucky glanced at the phone indifferently; he did not want to pick up the phone at all.

However, the caller was not bored, calling a second time, he finally picked up the phone and answered: "Hello."

The caller was Quetzal -- his best friend, the music on the other end of the line was extremely loud, Bucky frowned slightly, almost impatiently hanging up.

"We're at the ONE bar, are you coming?"

"No."

Bucky replied coldly. He was about to hang up when he heard Quetzal's voice: "Bucky, is Alina back?"

"How do you know?"

"She's right in front of me."

Quetzal snorted: "Oh, and there's her new bundle of joy, and he's quite handsome."

On her birthday, Alina's best friend, Ingrid, dragged Alina to the ONE bar, no matter how much Ingrid was the queen of night parties, small clubs like ONE were no problem for her.

Ingrid had booked most of the clubs, and most of the people knew each other.

Alina rushed over after finishing dinner. The clothes she wore were still the same as when she had dinner, a white tank top combined with a layer of black chiffon, a thin striped vest outside, a black skirt that passed her heels, combined with high heels, she looked both elegant and intellectual.

The fireplace was inside the club, plus there were a lot of people. Alina sat for a while and then took off her coat.

Ingrid led a man in under the colorful lights, as they got closer, Alina saw that it was Camden.

Ingrid walked up to Alina and put her arm around her shoulder: "Alina, do you miss him?"

Alina smiled: "Of course."

After five years of absence, Camden had matured a lot.

Alina looked at the tall and handsome man in front of her, raised her eyebrows, and asked: "When did you come back?"

"Yesterday."

Camden sat down, picked up two glasses of wine, and handed one to Alina.

Larissa ran over from afar and said, "Oh, our Summer Band is all assembled."

As soon as she finished speaking, Ingrid jumped up: "Can you still talk?"

After saying that, Ingrid shouted to the man standing not far away: "Anselm, come here quickly."

While they were talking, a man with a doll--like face suddenly appeared.

Alina looked at the two people chatting; it seemed like she had returned to her school days.

She was reminiscing about her beautiful youth when Ingrid suddenly patted her thigh and said, "It's been a long time since we performed on stage, right? Today is my birthday, I've booked almost the entire club, and I can't waste it. Today we'll return to our glory days, what do you think?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Ingrid called someone to tell them to move the musical instruments onto the stage.

"Let's go, I have to 'burn' the stage tonight."

After so many years, Ingrid was still a high school girl.

Just as Alina was about to speak, Ingrid pulled her onto the stage, and after a few pushes from her, Alina walked towards the drum set.

"Ingrid, I..."

She hadn't touched the drums for five years, but before Alina could finish her sentence, Camden beside her handed her two drumsticks: "Forgot?"

Seeing that she didn't take them, Camden sighed softly.

Alina raised her eyebrows. She reached out to hold the drumsticks, turning them in her hands: "How could I forget?"

She was a genius in this field.

Alina sat down, played a few beats to test the sound, and the sound of the instrument suddenly rang out. Ingrid and Anselm unconsciously looked towards Alina.

Feeling their gazes, Alina curled her lips: "What's wrong? Forgot?"

It had been a long time since Ingrid had seen Alina so arrogant, her eyes heated up: "Alina, you look down on me too much. I've been practicing very hard these past few years."

Alina was the bass player, Anselm and Camden played guitar, Camden was the lead singer, and they were once the very famous Summer Band.

Unfortunately, after the college entrance exam, the band did not disband but almost disappeared.

After growing up, people are no longer as natural as before, let alone someone who has hit a wall of love like Alina.

Everyone recalled their youth because of Alina's actions. Ingrid suddenly raised her hand to her mouth and whistled: "Tell everyone, you are all lucky tonight. The Summer Band that made waves many years ago is appearing again today, where the hands under the stage clap for me, shout."

Ingrid could always stir up the atmosphere, with just one sentence of hers, she aroused the interest of everyone sitting under the stage without her knowing.

Everyone adjusted the volume, turned their heads to look at Alina. She raised her eyebrows slightly, raised her hand, and hit the drumsticks hard, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere for tonight's party.

Before Bucky could enter ONE, he heard a deafening "noise" inside.

That's right, he was someone who hated noise, and the clanging sounds inside, to him, were just annoying noises.

Quetzal just wanted to see what kind of results this unknown band, Summer, could produce. By the way, he also wanted to wait for Bucky to come to show him his ex--wife's "amazing transformation" on stage.

At the beginning of the performance, Alina's friend said something in a very confident tone, which made Quetzal feel uncomfortable. He sneered and ridiculed, thinking that this person had a handsome face and appearance, but why was he so shameless?

Was this a manifestation of narcissism?

After the opening, Quetzal suddenly felt that his actions were like slapping himself in the face.

He was just as crazy as before, although he was old and mature now, it didn't mean that he didn't have dreams when he was young.

The four people on stage played nameless songs. The main vocals were low and husky, like sand and rocks rolling back and forth, touching each other, as if it were the sound of rock music given by God.

The bass player he had just mocked seemed to have become a different person.
