Chapter 4 Punish Eli

Genesis’s POV

So cold.

I kept sinking and floating in the water. The icy pool made my whole body tremble uncontrollably.

"Don't tell me she miscarried?"

Only when Delilah's mocking voice rang out did I snap back to reality, following everyone's gaze.

In the pool, streaks of blood drifted from behind me. I had gotten my period!

A dull ache came from my lower abdomen. I desperately shook my head and gestured: I'm not pregnant! That's just menstrual blood!

But no one paid attention to me.

They loudly discussed who the father might be, mockingly saying it could be some dirty homeless man or drug addict from the streets. They humiliated me without restraint, making me feel terrible!

If Eli hadn't done those things to me, I wouldn't have to endure any of this!

I bit my teeth and looked at Eli, clasping my hands together, begging him to help me.

But Eli didn't speak.

He even looked away, unwilling to meet my eyes for even one more second.

"She is my brother Christian's daughter, after all." Eli didn't look at me, just hooked his arm around Delilah's neck and whispered intimately in her ear.

Delilah's expression changed slightly.

She snorted coldly and scanned me maliciously. "I could let you go, but only if you drink all the bloody water in this pool. How about that?"

"Great idea! She made the pool so disgusting, drinking the water is only fair!"

Everyone chimed in. I felt even more humiliated and could only look at Eli pleadingly.

I knew that if he just said one word, Delilah would definitely stop bothering me, and these people wouldn't dare act up anymore.

But Eli ignored me.

He leaned back in a poolside chair, casually playing with a silver pistol, not even sparing me a glance.

I closed my eyes, suppressing the grievance in my heart.

In this house, being ignored and bullied was my daily reality.

Seeing that I kept refusing to drink, Beth rushed forward and forcibly pressed my head into the water!

An intense feeling of suffocation surged up. I struggled frantically as countless amounts of water rushed into my nose and mouth, taking away all my air!

The more I struggled, the harder Beth pressed. I could even hear her arrogant laughter.

Was I going to die here?

No!

I hadn't gotten into college yet, hadn't completely left the Martinez family, hadn't lived a free life!

In my daze, I seemed to see the moment before my mother died. She looked at me with worried eyes, silently saying something to me.

I absolutely couldn't die!

An unprecedented will to survive exploded. I gripped Beth's arm tightly. She cried out in pain and had to let go.

"You bitch!"

Beth rushed over to slap me but stopped her hand in terror just before touching me.

She scrambled up in panic. "I'm sorry, Don Martinez! I didn't mean to..."

I leaned weakly against the pool edge and followed her gaze.

It was Jordan!

He stood not far away with a frown, followed by Christian and Savannah.

"Hurry up and help her out!" Seeing this scene, Christian quickly scolded.

Susan rushed out from the crowd and pulled me out of the pool with red eyes.

"Eli." Jordan looked at Eli with displeasure. "You just watched Martinez people get bullied like this?"

Eli casually tossed his gun aside and raised an eyebrow frivolously. "Don Martinez, I was just helping my fiancée vent her anger. After all, Genesis hit Delilah first."

"What!" Savannah looked at me angrily. "Just a... and she dared to hit Delilah? Getting taught a lesson serves her right!"

In front of Jordan and Christian, Savannah ultimately didn't say the most vicious words, but her disdain was completely undisguised.

I lowered my eyes, hiding the mockery in them.

Eli hadn't mentioned what happened before at all. It seemed like I had been unreasonable and bullied Delilah.

"Even if it's a conflict between them, you can't do something like this." Jordan looked at Eli coldly and instructed Susan. "Go get my riding crop."

Delilah panicked and quickly explained to Jordan. "No, Don Martinez, I asked Eli to do it..."

"This is Martinez family territory. Our people cannot kill each other." Jordan expressionlessly glanced at Delilah and took the riding crop from Susan's hands.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The sound of leather hitting flesh rang out, striking Eli again and again. The surroundings seemed to quiet down.

Eli stood in place without moving, as if he wasn't the one being beaten.

The grievance in my heart dissipated somewhat.

I gestured to Susan: I'm not hurt, please forgive him. She translated my words to Jordan.

Jordan indeed stopped.

"He almost got you drowned, and you're sure you want to forgive him?" he asked flatly.

I nodded "timidly."

Of course I didn't want to let him off so easily, but my position in the family was already difficult enough. There was no need to offend Eli further over today's incident. Besides, as long as I maintained a "kind" appearance in front of Jordan, he would always be willing to protect me a little more.

Jordan threw down the riding crop and kicked Eli hard. "Since Genesis is willing to plead for you, I'll let you off today. Go to the detention room and reflect. Don't get a doctor to treat your wounds."

As he passed by me, he looked at me gently. "You shouldn't be so kind in the future."

I nodded, my gaze accidentally falling on Eli.

He silently mouthed to me: Come to the detention room tonight.

I quickly looked away. I didn't want to go.

Eli was soon helped toward the detention room by Delilah, but before leaving, he threw me a very threatening look.

I shivered slightly.

I knew that if I didn't go tonight, he would definitely find a way to kill me.

I had no choice but to go.

Eli POV

I sat on the floor of the detention room, my gaze occasionally sweeping toward the door.

I knew the little mute would definitely come.

Though she wasn't as timid as she appeared on the surface, she was very afraid of death. Every time I acted a little fierce, she would obediently comply. It was quite interesting.

Before long, she indeed walked in wearing a white nightgown.

The moment our eyes met, I clearly saw her tremble.

Heh.

"Apply medicine to my wounds." I commanded.

Reluctance flashed in her eyes, but she still obediently took the medicine and walked over.

I looked up, just able to see down her neckline to her chest.

With one glance, I judged that this size was at least a C cup!

I hadn't expected that at only seventeen, she had already developed so well.

Tonight when facing Delilah, I had said one thing wrong.

Though Genesis's figure wasn't my usual type, right now I just wanted to tear off her clothes, grab her breasts, and knead them into the shape I wanted.

I wanted her.
