CHAPTER FOUR

DARK MOON PACK

Kieran Lucian’s POV

The morning sun ran through the big windows of my bedroom, giving a clearer view of how massive my bedroom was . My mind was running, but my body still burned with the memory of last night—Sienna, the way she smelled like lilies and something else that drove me insane, the way her lips felt against mine under the moonlight.

Sienna. Her name echoed through my mind

I had found my mate. And she's f**king gorgeous!

I groaned, running a hand through my hair as I sat up. But before I could even process my thoughts properly, the door to my bedroom swung open without warning.

Damian and Lucas.

I should have known.

“Well, well, well,” Lucas drawled, sitting on the big couch in my room like he owned the place. “Look who finally decided to wake up. Thought you’d never recover from your grand romantic pursuit last night.”

Damian smirked, crossing his arms. “I have never seen our ruthless Alpha run after a girl before. What a sight.”

I sighed, rubbing my temples. “Are you two done?”

Lucas let out a dramatic sigh. “Oh, not even close. See, I need to understand something. You—Kieran Lucian, our fearless Alpha ran after a girl. Chased her through a crowded ballroom.” He grinned. “And then kissed her.”

I shot him a glare.

Damian shook his head, trying to suppress his amusement. “Man, I swear, you looked possessed. One minute you were drinking whiskey, and the next? Boom. Gone. Running after a woman like some lovesick pup.”

Lucas chuckled. “You’ve got it bad, boss.”

I clenched my jaw. “It’s not—”

“You chased her,” Damian cut me off, smirking. “That was what happened.”

Lucas leaned forward. “Tell me, Alpha. How did it feel when she ran from you?”

I growled slowly, and Lucas only smirked harder. “Relax, man. It’s just funny seeing you like this.”

Damian, the more level-headed of the two, gave me a serious look. “So? Who is she?”

I exhaled sharply, running a hand down my face. “Her name is Sienna. That’s all she told me before she ran off.”

Damian raised a brow. “And?”

I hesitated. “And she’s my mate.”

There was silence. Then Lucas whistled. “Damn.”

Even Damian looked taken aback for a moment before nodding slowly. “Well, that explains everything.”

Lucas grinned. “I mean, it would explain why our Alpha suddenly forgot he had a girlfriend.”

I shot him a glare. “Don’t start.”

Lucas just smirked.

“As much as I’d love to sit here and talk about how our Alpha is lovestruck, we have something more pressing to focus on.” Damian asked, ending the teasing and I was more than glad.

“The men are waiting for your orders,” Damian continued. “The rogues have no idea what’s coming, and if we strike now, we can wipe them out completely.”

My blood ran hot again, but for a different reason this time.

Sienna might have taken over my thoughts for the night, but today… Today was a war.

I stood, rolling my shoulders as if shedding the emotions from last night.

It was time.

“Get the men to the courtyard”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
COURT YARD, DARK MOON PACK
The courtyard was filled with warriors. My men. My family. The ones who had survived the massacre the rogues had unleashed on us all those years ago.
I stood before them, my chest heavy with rage. My Beta and Gamma stood at my sides. The air was thick with anger, vengeance, the thirst for blood.
I let my gaze sweep over my people. I could see the pain in their eyes. The hunger for justice.
These were not just my warriors.
These were sons who had lost their fathers.
Daughters who had watched their mothers die.
Brothers who had buried brothers.
I clenched my fists at my sides, feeling my wolf stir beneath my skin.
“Years ago,” I started, “Darius Valerius stole everything from us. He came into our homes. He slaughtered our families. He burned down everything we built.”
A growl rippled through the crowd.
I took a step forward. “He thought we would break. He thought we would bow.” My voice rose. “But we survived. We fought. We became stronger.”
The growling turned into a roar of agreement.
“He took our fathers!” I shouted.
“HE TOOK OUR FATHERS!” they echoed.
“He took our mothers!”
“HE TOOK OUR MOTHERS!”
“He took everything from us.” My voice was cold now. “And now… we take everything from him.”
The warriors erupted in a deafening roar.
I felt my blood ignite. This was it. The moment I had been waiting for. The moment we all had been waiting for.
I lifted my sword, my voice cutting through the chaos.
“NO MERCY!”
“NO MERCY!”
“NO SURVIVORS!”
“NO SURVIVORS!”
“For our families,” I growled.
“FOR OUR FAMILIES!”
I turned, my heart pounding, my wolf howling for blood. “Tonight, we will end this.”
The warriors erupted into movement, grabbing their weapons, shifting into their wolves, preparing for the battle ahead.
And I would lead them.
As the Alpha of the Darkmoon Pack.
As the man who had waited years for this moment.
And as the wolf who would not stop until Darius Valerius lay dead at my feet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The moment we arrived alt the rogue camp. It was very quiet and from the gate, I could see Darius mansion and his men scattered around, some standing guard, others barely paying attention.

They had grown comfortable.

That was their mistake.

I lifted a hand, signaling my warriors to halt. Then, in the space of a second, I gave the order.

"Attack."

We charged and just like a heavy wind, the gate was pushed down heavily to the ground. Swords scraped against swords, bodies slammed into bodies. The rogues scrambled, their shouts turning from confusion to panic as we cut through them like a storm.

I saw a rogue still standing confusedly and drove my dagger into his throat and twisting hard before kicking him off my blade. His blood filled my hand.

A second rogue from the back slapped my sword away and tried throwing a punch. I caught his wrist, snapped it, and slammed my fist into his throat. He fell heavily on the ground. I growled before picking my sword

From the corner of my eyes I could see Lucas fighting like a beast, as he drove his sword into the chest of a rogue before yanking it free and spinning into another.

This was what war looked like.

A rogue grabbed me from behind, locking an arm around my throat. I gritted my teeth, slamming my elbow into his ribs before flipping him over my shoulder.

Before he could move, I buried my blade into his heart.

One by one, Darius men were falling.

A voice rang out from behind the last line of rogues.

"Enough."

I turned and my eyes darkened at the sight of the person before me.
