Chapter 2 Time To Head To Grandeur Hotel
Ding!
The chiming of the phone reverberated through the room and Anna’s eyes fluttered open.
She groaned, touching the side of her head that had hit the bed side table but there was nothing. No wound nor pain.
She slid off the bed, her legs gently grazing against the cold marble floor. Why was she here? Did Jeffery carry her back to their home?
She picked up her phone from the bedside table and her eyes widened in shock at what she saw. ‘Hey babe! Please meet me at the Grandeur hotel by 6. I have dinner planned for us.’
This was the same exact message Jeffery—Or rather Marissa had sent to her before she caught them in the act.
‘Was this some kind of a joke?’ She thought, staring at the date and time.
She gasped, her eyes widening in shock as she realized what was happening.
She had somehow gone back in time!
She rushed towards the washroom to examine herself in the mirror. No wounds. Same clothes she had worn the previous morning.
Then suddenly, memories flooded through her head and she gripped it, groaning in pain.
She watched the scene where she had hit her head on the hotel’s bed side table morph to a scene of Jeffery lieing to her about the whole occurrence at the hospital. Then her accepting him back like the fool that she was.
The memories faded and she gripped the washing basin tightly with tears trickling down her eyes as she realized it was not the first time she was reliving the same occurrence.
She had relived it repeatedly and even fallen for their plans. In each time, she would hit her head on the hotel’s bed side table, have a concoction, get brainwashed by Jeffery and then take him back.
She had been so foolish that time had been bending in her favor only for her to mess it up each time. And this time, instead of having a concoction, she had died instead.
Something had definitely changed! And now that she knew their plans, she would make sure to turn it in her favor.
She stared at the message again and smiled.
Time to head to Grandeur hotel.
She donned on her best fit, examining how it clinged to her body, accentuating her figure in the mirror.
She took her purse, her hand playing with the edge of her phone as she headed towards her car. Maybe she should spice it up.
She looked through her contacts and clicked on a name, pressing the phone to her ear. ‘’Come to the grandeur hotel by 7. There’s a gift waiting for you and your team. Don’t be late.’’
She didn’t wait for the receiver’s word before hanging up and turning off her phone. She had called one of her reporter friend. Jeffery don would surely be ruined after the news of his affair goes viral.
She made a stop at a flower shop to buy flowers. The thrill of the evening jolted through her as she entered the hotel elegantly, flowers resting on her right arm.
She headed for the receptions table and met the same receptionist that was there the other time. ‘’Hi Stacey.’’ She said, looking at her name card. ‘’I’m here to—
‘’You must be Anna don.’’ Stacey said, smiling politely. ‘’Here is the key card to your husband’s room. He has been awaiting your arrival.’’
‘Weird’ Anna thought, staring at her in confusion.
This wasn’t how It was supposed to go.
Regardless, she gave her a polite smile, took the key card and headed for the 15th floor.
She stepped out of the elevator, key card and flowers in hand. She headed for room 10, swiping the keys eagerly.
When she pushed the door open and stepped in, the room was pitch black.
Strange.
‘’Jeff?’’ She called out but no response. Thinking she had entered the wrong room, she turned to leave but then a hand wrapped around her waist and the lights came on.
Anna came face to face with jeffery, his hands still snaked around her waist. He placed feather light kisses on her shoulders and neck line, eliciting a moan from her.
‘’What are you doin—oh fuckkk’’ Anna moaned, the rest of her words drowned by jeffery’s hands kneading her breasts.
Her thoughts were jumbled as he wrapped her legs around his torso and headed for the bed.
He placed her down gently, the scent of the petals drowning her thoughts.
He reached for her lips, suckling on it and Anna moaned, kissing him back with as much intensity.
She moved to his pants button, wanting to feel him deep in her when his hands reached to stop her. ‘’Not so fast babe. Let’s eat.’’
‘’We can do that later’’ Anna breathed out, kissing him.
‘’No now. I promised you dinner so let’s have it.’’ Jeffery replied reluctantly, taking her hands and heading for the dining table.
Anna sighed behind him, her lust vanishing immediately she set her eyes on the dining set up. The tables where filled with roses and cutleries made of gold. A card with ‘I love you Anna.’ Was placed at the middle.
Anna’s heart fluttered at the sight. She couldn’t believe how stupid she was doubting her husband. Whatever she thought she saw was either a lie or a dream. Jeff had stuck with her through thick and thin. she felt disgusted by her lowly thoughts towards him.
She closed in on him, giving him a light kiss on the lips. ‘’Thank you baby. I love you’’
‘’I love you too.’’ Jeffery smiled, pulling a seat for her. He reached for the wine bottle, uncorking it and pouring its red content into two glasswares.
‘’A toast to our love.’’ He said, clinking glasses with her.
‘’A toast to our love’’ Anna repeated, drinking the wine in one go.
Seconds later, her eyes became drowsy and she suddenly felt lightheaded. She looked up in confusion and was shocked to find a sly smirk playing at the edge of Jeffery’s lips.
Anna gasped. ‘’Did you—drug me?’’
