Chapter 9: New Beginnings

The morning light streaming through my bathroom window made everything look different. Softer, somehow. More hopeful. I sat on the edge of the bathtub, staring at the little plastic stick in my hands.

Two pink lines. Clear as day.

"Positive," I whispered to my empty bathroom. "It's really positive...
